Chapter 18

MADDIE

We were about to walked towards the elevator when he suddenly stopped and looked at me with furrowed eyebrow.

"What?" I asked in confusion.

He remained silent while he's eyes continue to gaze at me before it stopped right at my skirt. It seems like he was figuring out something. It didn't take long before a playful smile spread across his lips.

"What?" I repeated, but this time I didn't bother hiding my annoyance. When he didn't answer, I roll my eyes at him and lead the way to the elevator.

His men quickly followed behind us as we made our way to the elevator. I stepped inside first, feeling a slight twinge of apprehension as the doors slid closed behind me. Hades entered right after, but to my surprise, he immediately halted his men from joining us.

“Take the next elevator,” he ordered firmly.

I shrugged, thinking it might be a simple preference—perhaps he just didn’t want to share the lift with his bodyguards. I didn’t give it much thought as the elevator started to ascend.

My attention was diverted when Hades suddenly knelt down. I looked over and saw that he was tying his shoelaces. It seemed like it wasn't a big deal, so I turned my gaze back to the doors of the elevator.

However, my focus was sharply pulled back when I felt his hand slowly and deliberately making its way up from my heel all the way to my thigh. I froze, unable to utter a word. The sensation was both startling and intimate. His touch was deliberate, sending a shiver up my spine as his hand continued to explore my legs.

I stood there, stunned and unable to react, as the unexpected touch caused a storm of emotions to swirl within me. The elevator’s hum seemed to fade into the background as I tried to process what was happening, my heart pounding in my chest.

"Aaahhh..." I moaned as his finger brushed against my exposed center.

"Just as I suspected..." he whispered softly into my ear. "You'll be the death of me. How dare you walked outside my penthouse wearing nothing underneath this skirt?" he whispered before biting my earlobe while his fingers is starting to play with my cl1t.

"Ooooh...fck! S-Stop...not here..." I struggle to remove his hand in between my legs as my legs started to weaken from the tingling sensation brought by his expert fingers. I couldn't help but lean against his broad chest, trying to steady my balance.

"How can I stop when you're already this wet..."

"Aaahhh... please..." I pleaded. But he ignored my plea. Instead, he easily slid a finger inside me, causing my legs to tremble from the sweet, tingling sensation brought on by his teasing assault.

However, everything was cut short when the elevator door suddenly chimed. He quickly withdrew his hand from my center and acted as if nothing had happened. How could he manage to act so normal when just a few seconds ago he was deliberately pleasuring me with his finger?

I cleared my throat, trying to steady myself. Without waiting for him, I walked out of the elevator, my steps hurried and my mind racing to regain some semblance of composure.

I walked briskly into the lobby, the cool air hitting my flushed cheeks. My mind was still reeling from the intensity of the moment in the elevator, but I immediately shake off the tension building inside my body.

Hades followed me, his stride confident and unhurried. His men, who had taken the next elevator, joined us silently. I avoided looking at him, afraid that meeting his gaze would reignite the fire that had been burning inside me moments ago.

We stepped outside, where a sleek black car awaited us. The driver opened the door, and I slid in quickly, eager to put some physical distance between Hades and myself. He followed suit, sitting next to me, the space between us charged with unspoken tension.

The car started moving, and I stared out of the window, watching the city blur past. My mind wandered back to his touch, the way his fingers had known exactly how to drive me wild. I clenched my fists, trying to push the memory away.

"You can't do that!" I snapped at him once we're in the confine of his car. "What if someone sees us?" I scolded him.

He chuckled as he found me amusing. "Do you think I would allow people to watch me pleasure my wife?"

I pouted my lips, a mixture of relief and disbelief swirling within me. It was comforting to know that no one had witnessed what he did in the elevator, but I still couldn't wrap my head around how insatiable he was. I hadn't slept a wink last night because he didn't let me sleep until he was fully satisfied. Yet, just a while ago in the elevator, he looked like a hungry wolf ready to devour his prey.

"Still, I don't want you doing that again," I insisted, trying to sound firm.

Hades smiled, his expression softening. He gently took my hand in his, bringing it close to his lips. The warmth of his touch sent a shiver up my spine. He planted a soft, lingering kiss on top of my hand, his eyes never leaving mine.

"As you wish, my wife," he finally agreed, his voice tender and sincere.

His unexpected gentleness took me by surprise. I felt a warmth spread through me, easing the tension from moments before. Despite his dominant nature, there was a part of him that could be soft and considerate, and it made my heart flutter.

The car started moving, and I stared out of the window, watching the city blur past. My mind wandered back to his touch, the way his fingers had known exactly how to drive me wild. I clenched my fists, trying to push the memory away.

"I need to go to my office after our appointment in the courthouse," Hades said, breaking the silence. His voice was calm, almost business-like, as if nothing had happened.

"Right," I replied, my voice sounding steadier than I felt. "How long will it take?"

"Not long," he said. "Just a few formalities to handle."

I nodded, keeping my gaze fixed on the window. The ride to the courthouse was relatively short, and soon we were pulling up to the grand building. Hades got out first, then extended a hand to help me out of the car. I hesitated for a moment before taking it, the warmth of his touch surprises me.

Inside, the courthouse was a maze of hallways and offices. Hades led the way, his presence commanding and sure. I followed closely, feeling nervous. Finally, we reached the office where we needed to sign the documents.

The process was quick and efficient. I signed my name where instructed, my hand steady despite the whirlwind of emotions inside me. Hades did the same, his signature bold and confident. When it was done, the official handed us the marriage license with a congratulatory smile.

"Congratulations," he said. "You're now legally married."

"Thank you," Hades replied, his voice polite but distant. He turned to me, his eyes locking onto mine. "Let's go."

I nodded, feeling a strange mix of relief and anxiety. We made our way back to the car, the marriage license clutched in my hand. As we settled into our seats, I couldn't help but wonder what the future held now that we were bound together by law.

The ride back was quiet, both of us lost in our thoughts. When we finally arrived back at the building, Hades turned to me, his expression unreadable.

"Congratulations, Mrs. Grant," he said greeted.

I looked at him, trying to read the emotions behind his words. There was a hint of something in his eyes, something that I couldn't point out. All I knew was that my life had changed irrevocably, and there was no turning back.
