59- Sweet Revenge
I woke up feeling a headache making its way to my conscious and feeling body ache. The sides of my stomach hurt bad as I opened my eyes and found myself staring at the white walls and smelling weird, sanitizing smell.
Turning my head, a bit confused and disoriented, I looked around me. There was no one there. My hand had an IV drip attached and the door to the room was closed shut. The windows were closed but the room was well lit by lights. It was impossible to tell what time it was.
Groaning in pain, I tried to sit up and straighten my body. I had barely managed to sit when the room opened and Liam walked inside. Seeing me trying to sit up alone, he instantly rushed to my side and quickly put two soft pillows on my back, helping me sit comfortably.
The relief it brought was instantly and welcome. His touch was like a pain killer surprisingly, the agony I was feeling just few seconds ago suddenly disappeared.
I tried to remember the last thing that had happened that had landed me in the hospital but my memories came back blank. The only thing I remembered was going to sleep after coming back from Hailey's birthday party.
"What is going on?" I asked, and instantly realized how much thirsty I was.
"You don't remember anything?" Liam asked worriedly, "what is the last thing that you remember?"
He had barely stopped speaking when Rush walked in. He had some kind of medicines in his hands. Seeing me awake, he rushed forward, put the medicine on the bed and took a seat right next to me, putting his arm over my shoulder.
"How are you feeling? Is there any pain?" he asked as his eyes roamed over my face for any sign of stress.
"Just a bit pain." I whispered, caressing my sides, and then realizing that there was bandage wrapped around my torso.
"What happened to me?" I asked, horrified, "why are there bandages on me?"
Liam and Rush looked at each other for a few seconds before their gazes met mine and Rush answered, "do you remember that you had had fight with Hailey in the morning? About her pushing you in the ocean?"
The memeories of the fight instantly entered my consious, reminding me everything that had happeend and how I had fainted clutching my stomach.
"Why are there bandages on me? What happened?"
"You were right about Hailey, Eva." Rush said and put his head on mine gently, "I am so sorry you had to go through that we thought it was just a misunderstanding."
With his each word I was freaking out instead of feeling relieved. What had happened suddenly?
"How come you are accepting it now?" I murmured while I licked my dry lips, "you did not believe me when I told you. Why the sudden change of belief?"
Liam put his hand on mine and turned my face to him. A glass of cold water was in his hand, extending it towards my lips.
"Drink." he said, tipping the glass to my lips, making me drink it slowly.
I instantly drank the water with a sigh, the wetness of it coming with a huge relief to my throat. Once finished, he took the glass away and put it on the table and then turned back to me.
He took my hand in his own. His other hand went to my waist, resting over the bandage before he murmured, "you had fainted in the morning. When Hailey had pushed you, she had dug her claws inside your skin which had ripped your skin from inside."
My eyes widened in shock at the words. "her claws had ripped my skin from inside?"
Rush sighed and nodded his head, "Yes. There was no big injury, but since you are our mate, your body could not handle the touch of Hailey's wolf. It acted as a slow poison. Since you had fallen into the ocean, the blood had gotten washed away completely. But overnight, the poison of having Hailey's claws dug inside you had intensified. And then when this morning you got in a fight with Hailey, your blood pressure just increased fast and made you faint."
"Is it serious?" I gasped, "the wound on me, is it serious?"
Liam shook his head in a no and engulfed me in his arms, his head coming down to rest on my shoulder, "it is not, thank god for that. Doctors patched up the wound, and have removed any trace of Hailey's poison. You will be good to go back home once the discharge papers are signed."
I sighed in relief and sagged in the pillows along with both of them on each side of me.
"I told you." I whispered, "both of you did not believe me when I told you she had pushed me on purpose."
"It was not like we did not believe you." Liam instantly straightened and turned to face me, his face was white and drained, like he had been awake for a long time, "we did believe you. But Hailey had grown up in front of our eyes. We... it was really hard for us to believe that she had tried to harm you intentionally."
"We are sorry about this Eva," Rush said softly, his hand finding my waist, and caressing the injured part with light fingers, "We have already sent Hailey back to her home and informed her parents about her actions. We have let Hailey know that she is not welcome to our house anymore because she tried to harm our mate. Her parents are furious, hurting someone's mate is the worst thing any werewolf can do. They will be handling the matter and punishing Hailey according to pack rules."
"What kind of pack rules?" I asked, confused.
"She is going to be handling the cleaning, food, and other household chores alone for the next six months, and will not be allowed to leave the pack territory or meet with her family until her punishment is over."
"Okay..." I whispered and closed my eyes. Exhaustion had already taken place inside my body.
"You have every right to be mad at us." Rush's breath feel in my ear, "we are going to be better. Every person, every trust comes after you. We promise."
"I hope you stick to your words from now on." I responded calmly. I was not angry at them. I knew that believing a person like Hailey would have been instinct to them since they had never even thought she had more feelings towards them than of affection. Though this was going to be my trump card for future. Every time they refused to believe me on something, even when it was, in fact, a lie, I was going to remind them of this time when I kicked their asses.
The thought only brought an evil grin to my face.
*******
A Week Later
"Where are we going?" I groaned. We had been in the car for an hour and half now. The ride just seemed to go on and on.
"Just five more minutes," Liam caressed my hair and put my head back on his shoulder, pulling me closer in his lap, "go back to sleep. I will wake you up when we get there."
I felt a kiss on my head. Rush was sitting on my other side in the car.
"I am not sleepy anymore." I whispered and pulled my head up, staring out of the window, "the weather looks so nice. I think it is going to rain."
Rush smiled at my words, grabbed my hand and pulled me off Liam's lap, slipping me in his own lap.
Liam's finger tightened at my hip, but then one glare from Rush, and he let me go with an adorable frown.
I grinned at his look and shifted my body to sit on seat comfortably. Pulling my legs up, I put them in Liam's lap while my upper body was cradled by Rush. Liam instantly grabbed my legs, and started roaming his fingers from my feet to my knees.
"You are taking full advantage of our love for you." Rush whispered in my ear, biting it slightly before letting go.
"Do you mind?" I smirked and turned my head to look at him.
His mouth turned into a soft smile as he bent down his head and took my lips in a deep kiss.
When he pulled back, Liam pulled me up, slipped me over his lap until my face was closer to his and kissed me on the mouth, his tongue instantly dominating over the taste of my mouth and leaving me breathless.
"We are here." The driver's voice came from the front seat while the car came to a halt.
My breathless and flustered face was hard to hide when Liam and Rush settled me back into the seat before climbing out and then helping me get out of the car.
"Where are we?" I asked while fixing my dress.
Rush put his hands on my head gently, combing his fingers through my tangles with a loving smile on his face.
"My friends have arranged a welcoming party for you." Liam smiled happily, "Surprise!"
My mouth dropped open at his words.
"Oh my god, no!" I cried out, instantly turning around and rushing towards the car to get in, "You should have told me! I can not go inside like this!"
Liam was quick to catch me by my waist and turn me around while laughing, "you look amazing! Don't freak out."
I groaned in frustration while covering my face with my hands. "I am going to be a laughing stock."
"We will kill each one them if that happens," Liam said like it was an assurance.
"They are here!" a squeal greeted us instantly, which was followed by loud hooting and sounds of crackers and whistles.
Laughing and covering my face to hide the blush on my cheeks, I walked with them towards the grand hall that was lit with yellow lights and decorated with red flowers.
"Are they all werewolves?" I asked in a low tone.
"Yes." Liam grinned while his hand slipped in my waist, pulling my body closer to him, "all of them are our friends from nearby packs and our own pack."
My mind was on his talk and did not realize when we reached the entrance. My feet tumbled at the slightly high edge of the entrance, almost making me fall when Rush's arm shot out to rest against my stomach to shield the fall.
"Careful." he panicked.
"I am okay." I laughed a little before removing his hand from my stomach and taking it in my own to hold.
As soon as I climbed in, my eyes were blinded as the lights suddenly went off.
"What happened?" I grabbed on to Liam's arm to support myself as I could not see anything in the dark.
"Give it a minute." Rush's voice came from right behind my ear. At that exact moment, yellow lights were turned on in front of my eyes that were lit on the wall. It took a few seconds for my eyes to adjust to the lights. And that is when I saw that the yellow lights were lighting some letters. The words said, 'Let's Get Married, Eva'?
My mouth dropped open as I stared at the words. I had not expected that this is what the part was about.
"Wow..." I breathed out in astonishment, "is this for real?"
Before my shock could wear off, my eyes dropped down from the wall only to find Rush and Liam leaning on the ground on their knees with two beautiful, diamond studded rings in their hands extended towards me.
"Although we already know your answer, please accept this?" Rush grinned.
"SAY YES! SAY YES! SAY YES!" the people in the party started to chant repeatedly.
I looked around the room while I tried to hide the tears that wanted to fall. It had take so long, so much to get to this day. I had not thought that this day was even going to come after all that had happened in the past. But the the smiling faces of Rush and Liam as they offered me the wedding rings were something that I wanted to capture in my heart forever.
"Alright, alright!" I shouted, my face turning serious as my eyes roamed around the room at all the wild wolves staring at me. Once they stopped the chant, I cleared my throat and shifted my eyes downwards, looking at both the brothers.
Tilting my head to the side, I said in a normal, flat tone, "Hmm... should I take revenge on you and say no?"
The look of fear was so fast to appear on both of their faces, it almost brought laughter to my lips. While the crowd around us broke into suspicious, loud whispers.
"NO REVENGE, please!" Liam instantly shouted. His second knee gave out as he fell on both of his knees in panic.
"I did not even do anything wrong!" Rush shot up on his feet, "don't say no to me, at least."
Liam's eyes snapped up to Rush angrily "Hey, traitor! Shut the fuck up!"
"You shut up." Rush glared down at Liam.
"I am still considering," I chimed in with a grin, "fights are my favorite. Get on it till I make my decision."
"Eva!" Liam whined, "stop teasing."
Rush just gave me a begging look. I could not hold the smile anymore and extended both of my hands in their directions with a wide smile.
"Alright, since you both are being so nice, I will marry you both."
The crowd erupted in laughter and and smiles and cheers while Rush and Liam happily slipped the beautiful, queen's crown shaped rings on my finger.
"It's done!" Liam shouted, "Finally we are together forever!"
I laughed happily with them. They both moved forward and hugged me, and that is when I thought was going to be my happy ending, but then my eyes went to the wall on the right side of the hall.
There were some more letters on them.
Scrunching my eyes in confusion, I read over the letters.
'Eva, please become mother of Sarang and Damon.'
I threw myself out of their arms while a loud gasp left my lips before I shouted, "WHAT IS THAT?!"
Their gazes went to the direction my eyes were staring at. A second passed and then two, and then they grinned widely,
"These are the names of our future kids." Liam said and Rush finished the sentence, "I have already prepared a family tree to show them when they are born."
"Oh my god," I covered my eyes in shyness and relief. A mini heart attack had just took my life, "you both are out of your minds."
"Just to make you our possession, baby." both of them smiled as their arms slipped around me, taking each turn to give me a gentle kiss on my lips.
