Graciella POV

"But why would you put me in charge of your company? It's worth millions". I said out of excitement.

"I don't visit my company because of who I really am. Handing it over to you would bring in proper care. I hope you will be able to manage it well. That's my valentine gift to you". A multi-billion fashion designing company, am now the Chief Executive Director, CED and Acting CEO of one of the biggest fashion companies in the world. What a privilege!

I hugged him tightly, overwhelmed by happiness. "Sure, I will. I bagged a first class in research and social management. I'm sure I will be able to manage it well. Thanks".

"So, when are you giving me my valentine gift"? He asked. I blushed slightly "I will. Soon".

He smiled and reciprocated my hug. We stayed that way for some minutes before I broke it. "Should I start checking out the company? Because I am sure there are some things going on there that I will need to correct ''. I said putting my hands on my waist.

"Sure, no problem then". I jumped happily and made my way to my room to put on my clothes. He bought new clothes for me the last time we went out.

"Ella". He called out and I turned to look at him. He has given me a nickname separate from what my family gave me and I can't reject it.

"I got an invitation for your sister's birthday".

"Zarina''? I called out. Ohh.. That's true. Her birthday is a day to the full moon.

"But I won't go. I just wanted to inform you".

"No, let's go. I will go. There is no problem".

"Really". He asked surprised. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am. I want to show them how happy I am with my mate". I said and walked into my room or our room. He insisted on sharing a room with me and I don't want to make him angry.

**ONE WEEK LATER**

I entered my manor, no, my ex manor. It was full of people. Today is Zarina's birthday, a day before the full moon. All the Alphas of surrounding packs are present, my dad must have invited them. Romeo held my hand and gave me a reassuring smile. I calmed down and entered fully. Everyone who saw us was surprised to see the cursed Alpha with a lady. I saw George coming my way and I rushed to greet me. He was no more scared of Romeo, instead, they've been close friends.

"Gracey, you are looking good". I made sure I dressed well to prove I am good without them. I smiled "you look good too". He nodded and excused himself. I saw the twins; Alfred and Albert, at a corner. They were surprised to see me. I smiled lightly and looked away.

We took our seat before George came to meet us. We kept chatting. I saw Zarina go up the stage. She picked up the mic and thanked all the ones who came. Her eyes ran over me and she looked surprised. She stopped talking for a while and her eyes danced with mischief. She noticed Romeo was sitting beside me making her more confused.

After a while, she cleared her throat and rounded up her speech. I picked up my drink and gulped it all. What have you ever done to her? To them? Well, I am happy with Romeo now.

"Graciella, you came". She said, smiling sheepishly. I glanced up at her and smiled back. "Were you expecting me not to come? You thought I was dead". I say inside me.

"Ohh.. Graciella, I am glad you came. You ran away from home, I wasn't expecting that. Well, father would like to have a talk with you and Alpha Romeo, thanks for honoring my invitation". She said and walked away.

I scoffed and followed her.

"What are you doing with him"? Father asked.

"What I am doing with him is none of anyone business".

"Don't you know who he is? He is a cursed Alpha. More so, our enemy".

"The wolfless one will be mated to the ultima wolf which is Alpha Romeo. You detest me, you wanted to throw me out of the house but my mate accepted me. He is my mate and I accept him as one". I screamed back at them. Zarina scoffed out.

"Do you know what you are saying? You had a chance to reject him. You have been friends with our enemy. I always knew you were useless."

"He is my mate not my friend. You guys had a chance to treat me well but you didn't. Just because you reject me doesn't mean I should reject someone else. I accept him. I accept him as my mate". I said.

Father raised his hand up to slap me "Stop". Someone said, I raised my head up and saw Romeo. I rushed towards him and held him. "I can handle this Romeo, I can". If he gets angry here, he can wipe us all out. I know his wolf won't be happy to see his mate being slapped.

"Alpha Romeo, no offense but my daughter has to choose between her father and you". My dad said. I could sense fear in him but still he gathered a lot of courage to say that.

"I choose my Cursed mate. Just as you reject me, I reject you". I said and dragged him away from there before he caused a lot of trouble. I rushed towards our car and entered. I can't believe them!

I entered my room and locked it crying profusely. I laid on the bed and cried my eyes out before sleep took over me.

I came out of the bathroom after taking a shower and changing into a short and singlet.

I looked around the room but couldn't find Romeo. Then,I heard his voice from the balcony outside the room and decided to check up on him. He was on a call. I watched as he made his call before disconnecting it.

"Hey" I called as he turned to look at me surprised.

"Hi. You are done?" He asked and I hooded and stood beside him, holding onto the railing. I remembered what happened yesterday which made me chuckle lightly. After crying my eyes out, I had to wake up the next morning feeling good and promising myself again not to cry over them.

Suddenly, he held me around my waist and pulled me closer making me rest on his chest. Oh!

"That reminds me, you still haven't gotten me a gift yet". He said. The touch of his hands around my waist made me develop goosebumps.

"A gift"?

"Yeah, a valentine gift". He repeated.

"Don't worry, I will get you one soon enough".

"Why don't you do it right away"? He said, making me furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

"Right away, what do you mean?"

"Come on, Ella. You should know. What gift could you possibly give me right away".
He asked and I lifted my head up from his chest to look at him. His hands around my waist still made us join together. He gave me a cranny look and I chuckled.

Mm mm

"Alright then". I said and kissed him. A short kiss on his lips is more like a perk. "Is that it?". He raised his eyebrows.

I laughed nervously and took a deep breath. I'm really not a good kisser. I went for his lips again and tried to kiss him for a long time. His lips were so soft just like last time.

We finally unlocked the kiss and I locked my eyes into his.

"Romeo". I called, trying not to stutter. He kept staring at me. "I'm ready". I said almost in a quiver. "I'm ready to be your mate, to lift your curse". The twinkles in his eyes increased.

I've never been so nervous in my entire life. He nodded slightly and lifted his hands to hair. He could obviously read the fear in my eyes. "Don't worry, I will be gentle with you". He said in the mildest voice I have ever heard him speak.

I didn't say a word as I was too nervous to speak. And he carried me up like a baby and took me into the room.
