Under the Skin

Alex:

Eleni, Eleni, Eleni.
I shake my head attempting to get rid of the blind fury that grips me. The little viper caused more than one misunderstanding between me and my witch. It wasn't enough to find her naked in my bed two days before Patrick arrived with my guest, didn't fire her right there out of consideration for her grandparents, but then she kept making offensive comments against Yolie.
"Too ugly, too fat, unworthy of being in the same room as Kiryos Alex ..."
Her grandparents would shut her up when I was around and thank the gods Yolie understands very little of our language. She could have said all those things to Yolie, directly, in English, but no. The twisted little girl delighted in sowing misunderstandings and chaos.
The last straw for my patience was when I heard Yolie's thoughts and knew that Eleni had accompanied her to the beach and then left her there.
Vlad's request is becoming more and more... acceptable. Ever since he saw the girl in my house in Athens, he hasn't stopped bothering me, asking me to send her to his hotel in Romania. If it weren't for the fact that I know the kind of diversions Vlad prefers... I growl. Months ago I would have gotten rid of a huge nuisance.

Yolie:
I hear him growl and roll my eyes.
—What does Eleni have to do with all this? - I insist.
Alex squints his eyes at me, rising to his feet with a fluid movement and observing me while tilting his head slightly over his right shoulder.
—Why did you think these clothes were not meant for you? - He asks.
—Isn't it obvious? - I answer exasperated.- They wouldn’t fit me even if I lost ten kilos, they are also too long , they would be better suited for a tall girl ... Wait ... You say these clothes are Eleni's ?
— No.
—But, now that I think about it, all of those items must be her size, even the shoes that are too small for me.
—Yes.
—So why were Eleni's clothes in my closet? Can you explain me?
Alex closes his eyes, pinchung the bridge of his nose and sighing. Can vampires suffer from headaches?
—These clothes are not hers. They never were, they still have their labels, you see? A week before Patrick ... ah ... brought you here, I entrusted the impertinent girl to buy all this.- He points to the bundle on the floor- I even gave her your sizes, but it never crossed my mind that she would end up buying everything for herself.
I raise my eyebrows impressed.
—How do you know what my sizes are?
—I'm an intimate friendfriendthe mole on your right hip. Knowing what sizes you wear is a trifle. So ... As you see, everything is yours. It all was supposed to be yors. Do you believe me? -He pleads.
—None of that fits me and I won't argue with you again over it. I'll ask Yulia to pack up everything and mail it to wherever you sent the poor girl. I'm sure she'll love it. - I grumble, turning my back to him and walking away.
—But do you believe me? - He insists.
—Sure, if you say they didn't belong to one of your former lovers, I believe you. Why would you lie? I also understand the sick fascination Eleni has developed towards you. She is too young, she’ll learn with time.
In the blink of an eye I have him in front of me. God, I hate when he does that!
—You are the only woman I have brought here. - He whispers vehemently.-I have other properties on this side of the island but they weren't big enough or safe enough to have you on.
He approaches me taking small steon, circling me like a shark would it’s prey.
—Since that night three years ago I haven't been with anyone, I am not attracted to any other woman. - He murmurs invading my personal space.
—What about that one? The Egyptian, owner of the Aspid cosmetics line? What was her name...? Clio or Cleo?
—Are you jealous, little witch? - He chuckles, pushing my hair out of the way, his warm hand caresses the back of my neck.
—No. But you were with her when you went to Athens. I saw the photos of you both very cozily together in a restaurant.
—Mhm.- he joins his body to mine. - Cleo is just an old friend. I accompanied her to her house and from there I went to my hotel. I packed my things and came back here running, like a lapdog that cannot live without its owner.
His touch on my skin is electric. I feel his heat run through my entire body, making tremble with wanting.
—Don’t. Don’t touch me. - I whisper breathlessly.
—Our... lives were destined to intersect, little witch. I was looking for you without knowing it was you who I would find ... - He draws me closer to his mouth.
—No. - I fight to stay away. Placing my hands against his chest and pushing him away.
—Yes. I sealed our destinies the night I gave you my blood to drink. - He purrs.
—¡No! - I let out a desperate scream. His lips brush mine.
Oh, but he’s the cat and I am a silly little mouse.
His grip changes abruptly. His arms grip me, his hands squeeze my buttocks pushing me against his erection, I look at him wide- eyed and speechless.
—Who hurt you so much that you are unable to see how much I want you? - he whispers in my ear , making me tremble.- What did they do to you that you are not convinced when I say you drive me crazy?
He kisses the corner of my mouth and caresses my face with his lips. Oh, I don't know how I haven’t become a puddle at his feet.
One of his hands goes up, stroking my spinal column and tangling his fingers possessively in my hair, forcing to look straight into his changeable eyes.
—Tell me his name and I swear I will bring you his heart. Tell me. Tell me who hurt you so much you are incapable to believe how much I desire you?
—You desire my blood, not me, Alex. - I protest hoarsely.
—Mhm. Right now I would undress you and fuck you here against a wall, or on the floor, under the shower, behind that door, there are so many possibilities ... - he hisses. - Your blood has nothing to do with what is happening between us at this minute ... You have gotten under my skin, precious.
That last word brings me sharply out of the trance I was in. It's like a bucket of ice water has been thrown at me. I put a hand over his mouth, forcing him to be quiet while I look into his beautiful heterochromic eyes. That terrible scene comes to my mind, I arriving Ivan's house front porch, hearing him from behind, making fun of me with his friends. My eyes begin to fill with tears and I look away from Alex’s.
—I'll rip his head off for what he did to you. - Alex growls against my hand. I remove my palm from his lips, sliding silently out of his arms.
—You can't. He died two years after... breaking up with me. He and some of his friends attempted an illegal exit from Cuba. They all drowned. - I wrap my arms around myself. I'm feeling cold.
—I don't like to talk about this subject because I sensed his death, his name was hovering in my mind for two whole days and shortly after, I knew what had happened to him.
—He deserved it. - Alex growls.
—Don't say that. His mother suffered greatly when she found out. She was taken to the clinic where I work during one of my guards, she was destroyed, ended up crazy. - A tear rolls down my cheek. - He was a lousy boyfriend but he was a good son.
—Did you love him? - He asks with a growl.
A tear runs down my other cheek and I wipe it quickly.
—No. I really didn't love him. I agreed to go out with him because no one else was asking , at twenty-two I was already getting kind of desperate. A month after we began going out together I slept with him - I laugh ironically. - The stupid things we women do sometimes. I think deep down, all I wanted was to feel wanted, appreciated... I don't know. When I heard what he said to his friends ... - I shake my head.
—I'm not like him, little witch. - He whispers.
I look at him disdainfully.
—No. You're much worse. You brought me here against my will and you made me feel ... - I swallow hard - I mean look at you, what woman doesn't faint at your smallest smile, but all the time you had ulterior motives. Didn’t you? Don’t attempt to fool me, Alex- I laugh ironically.- I'm not pretty. I've never been. Also, I know perfectly well that I am the reincarnation of the witch who cursed you and made you what you are, I just need to find out what exactly you hope I find in the Grimoire and then I’ll go back to my country. Now, get out!- I order, pointing to the door.
— Are you going to leave me like this? - Asks in a strangled cry. Pointing to his obvious erection.
— It's all your fault.
—Oh, this is not going to stay this way , you soulless witch.- he threatens with a smile, the tip of his fang become visible above the right corner of his mouth.- I shall take my revenge, I warn you.
