Dianne/Madilyn

When Dianne took out her phone and began to scroll through her news feed, she couldn’t help the large grin that appeared on her face. For the first time, since this ghastly destination wedding had started, Dianne had a reason to be happy. She couldn’t even be mad at Drake for causing yet another scandal to the Whittenberg name. The last scandal would surely drive the shameless slut away. Dianne was ecstatic that she’d assigned a photographer to follow Drake around this morning and capture pictures of his every move. She wanted to uncover his secrets, she hadn’t expected to find this treasure among them.

Dinane’s phone began to ring, disturbing her from her moment of gloating. It was her P.I. Mark. He only called when he had information of great importance. Otherwise he would just send her an email with his daily report.

“Mark, Darling, It’s Dianne.” She spoke towards the phone, that was now laying on her bed with her speaker mode enabled. She wouldn’t let anything or anyone bring her down today.

“Someone seems rather happy today.” Mark’s deep husky voice said projecting into the room.

Dianne could her him sigh as she chuckled quietly to herself. Mark hated to be on speaker. He always said something about the walls having too many eyes.

“So what’s up Mark?” Dianne asked, already feeling irritated. She wanted to get off the phone quickly and continue her celebrations.

“I discovered some more news on Lydia.”

“And???”” Dianne asked, her patience running thin with each second this conversation carried on.

“I found an old acquaintance of hers and the stories this man has to tell. They’re out of this world.”

This peeked Dianne’s interest. She wanted to get rid of Lydia so she didn’t tarnish the Whittenberg name, but she still wanted to ruin Lydia. Lydia had made her feel like a fool and Dianne was not about to let her get away with that.

“What type of acquaintance?” Dianne asked, a wicked smile on her face.

“He was an old client of hers. His name is Karl and the stories he has to share, they’d even male your eyes burn.”

No surely, Mark wasn’t implying what Dianne thought he was. It wasn’t possible was it, but this had to be it. It made so much sense now. Drake hadn’t been hiding a secret girlfriend. He never had a girlfriend. He had hired himself an escort to intend the wedding with him.

Oh the paparazzi were going to have a hay day with this. Of course Dianne would make sure to spin the story to make it look like Drake had no clue about Lydia’s tainted past, all the negativity would fall on Lydia and Lydia alone. This was brilliant, this was exactly the ammunition Dianne needed to destroy Lydia.

“Does this Karl have proof of his relationship with Lydia?’ Dianne asks, wanting to make sure they had enough evidence to go to the paparazzi with.

Mark coughed before responding, “Karl would like to remain anonymous, he is a political figure and is married with a family. He does however have a few screenshots of Lydia that had at one time been up on Mia Novella’s website. They have since been taken down, but these photos, there’s no mistaking that it’s not Lydia.”

Dianne thought it over for a minute. They had plenty of evidence to take to the press, but Dianne wanted someone will to talk to the press about Lydia’s past. She didn’t want Lydia to have any chance of weaseling her way out of this.

“You’ve done great Mark. This is exactly the ammunition I need. I just need one more thing before I can leak this story. I need you to go to Mia Novella’s and talk to anyone who is willing. Offer the girls one hundred thousand dollars each, if they are still unwilling to talk increase to the offer to five hundred thousand dollars. And if you still haven’t found anyone offer them a million dollars each. One of those girls will be willing to talk for a million dollars.”

“Yes ma’am. Is there anything else you need from me?” Mark asked.

“Yes, I still need you to find out what Drake is looking into. Someone has been trying to dig up information on our dear friend Amelia. I have a feeling its Drake.”

“Of course.” Martin replied before disconnecting the call.

It was too good to be true. Dianne’s day had just become even better than it had been less than twenty minutes ago.

“Where is she!” Dianne could hear the panic in Drake’s voice as he raced through the penthouse suites.

She grinned once more, looks like Lydia had decided to take off after discovering Drake’s infidelities.

There was a loud slapping noise, before Madilyn voice echoed the halls. “You did this Drake. You just couldn’t keep your damn hands to one woman. Will you never change?”

“What the fuck are you talking about?” Drake asked Madilyn, he’d already seen the tabloids with images of him and the jet ski driver Marvin had scheduled to take him back, but Drake thought the photo was being blown out of proportion there was nothing about the image that would cause people to think he was having an affair.

“THIS DRAKE!” Madilyn yelled, shoving her phone in his face, flashing him the image he had already seen.

“That’s nothing Madilyn.” Drake responded, “It’s just as pictured. The woman gave me a lift from the island.”

“But why were you on the island Drake?” Madilyn asked, “Because I called Sampson as soon as I saw the picture trying to not judge you for your past, and Sampson claimed he didn’t know why you were on the island and that you’d told him that you weren’t feeling well and needed to lie down. So tell me Drake, are you the liar or is Samspon?” Madilyn asked narrowing her eyes at him.

Drake was the worst kind of man in Madilyn’s eyes. She had now witnessed him destroying two of her friends now. Two woman who Madilyn valued as strong fierce individuals who let nothing bring them down, but entering a relationship with Drake and letting him woo them had torn them apart. Jessica was nothing like the girl Madilyn had grown up with. She was no longer the strong woman who didn’t give a damn what people thought of her. Now Jessica coward down to anyone and no longer fought for what she believed in. And Lydia, Madilyn had seen how broken Lydia was when she saw those pictures. She tried to hide the brokenness in her eyes, but Madilyn was used to that look. She’d saw the same look in her mother’s eyes every time her father went on a “business trip.”

Drake’s mouth opened and closed repeatedly as if he was trying to think of a lie that Madilyn would believe, but eventually he gave up. “There isn’t anything in the world that I can tell you to make you believe me Maddy. Just know I would never cheat on Lydia.”

Drake’s eyes started to mist over and feel with tears, “Maddy I would never hurt Lydia. She is my entire world. She’s filled my dark broken heart with light and love. She’s released me from years of pain. I love her Maddy, and I would never ever do anything to hurt her.”

The look on his face moved Madilyn. It was the same look Sampson gave Madilyn every time he told her how much he loved her. Madilyn let out a large sigh before handing an envelop over to Drake. She’d spotted Lydia handing it over to the receptionist before she left, and had forced the receptionist to hand it over to her. “Lydia left this for you. Don’t make me regret this Drake.” Madilyn said before turning and walking down the hall, opening the door to the suite she shared with Sampson.

***So ignore my chapter count, because apparently I can't count and repeat or skip numbers repeatedly. I will fix this one I complete the novel and go back to edit it ***

***All the secrets are out. Dianne knows Lydia is an escort, she suspects Drake is investigating into Amelia, Drake has disvovered that Amelia might not be the person he thought she was, and Drake and Lydia have both admitted their feelings towards one another even if it wasn't to one another. Do you think their relationship can survive this scandal and the additonal DRAMA that'll be thrown their way? Drop your thoughts in the comments below. xoxo Marriah***
