It sounded cliché, but in Zemar’s entire body, fireworks exploded and she felt like she was suddenly alive for the first time in six years. She could feel her hands and feet warming and her stomach twisting in knots. But at the same time, she felt free; like all her inhibitions and responsibilities had suddenly been let loose. She let out a soft moan from the back of her throat and realized that she would give anything to feel like this forever. To be with Jaye forever would mean to feel like this forever.
Her eyes snapped open and she pushed Jaye away with all her strength, which sent him flying off the floating ice into the water a few yards away. That is, he would have landed inside the water if he hadn’t breathed out a solid ice base to land on at the last minute.
He gathered his bearings and looked over at Zemar with a smirk. He moved his ice base quickly back to the igloo and stepped on board. Zemar was planted on the spot, suddenly very aware of every sinew, vein and muscle on his body (which was undeniably a lot). She wanted to hold his large biceps and trace the contours of his abs with her tongue. It felt like that kiss had unlocked so many hidden desires and now she wanted him so badly she could barely breath.
And now he was right in front of her looking down at her like he knew every single one of her desires (which he probably did), and he had every intention of fulfilling each one of them one by one. Zemar wasn’t wearing any panties but she could feel the fluid running down her thighs and she had to hold back a groan. Jaye could probably smell her arousal.
“I know you want me, Zemar,” he said with a sincere look on his face and she couldn’t even argue, “I know you want me so bad it actually hurts. And I know you don’t want me just sexually either. Well, let me tell you something,” he stepped so close to her that her chin was almost touching his chest, “that’s how I’ve felt ever since you left me. Seeing you in that meeting brought it all back way too much and it’s been hell dealing with it ever since.”
Zemar gulped and tried to speak but she didn’t know what to say. She had always forced herself not to remember how strong the flame of their passion had once been. He had only needed to kiss her to reduce her into a whimpering heap and it seemed like that hadn’t changed at all. But she had not considered the fact that he might have not have been as successful in blocking the memories, especially while with another woman. It might be the horniness talking, but she was really thinking about forgiving him. It would mean one less problem in her life and one less issue to keep her awake at night. Plus, Jaye had always been very good at making her forget her problems and making sure she slept well, even if it meant fucking her so hard, she could barely keep her eyes open.
The warmth in her hands and feet began to spread throughout her entire body and she started to feel hotter and hotter. She had to get a hold of herself or she would start crawling all over him like a bitch in heat. She folded her fingers together and looked him straight in the eye, which was difficult considering their height difference and how close he was standing to her.
“I may want you, Jaye, and you might be my consort,” she said as firmly as she could manage, “but I will only act on it when I have heard Avery’s side of this story. You might claim not to have cheated voluntarily but we both know there are potions that can be used to bypass werinam. I will not be deceived.”
He raised a brow, “You know I’ve always beem terrible at potion brewing. How would I ever be able to manage something that powerful? And besides, how will we know when we will see Avery again?”
“Sooner or later, you’re going to have to get your son,” Zemar replied, “you and I both know you can’t leave him unprotected and Avery is too much of a simp to actually give him the necessary protection. So once Firegewan is defeated, you will have to take Garganum from the palace and go get your son and bring Avery with him.”
Jaye’s jaw ticked with annoyance at the fact that he did not have a solid argument to counter her point. Zemar felt that was good for her. He was no longer giving off sexual vibes.
“You’re one hell of a woman, Zemar. But sometimes, your stubbornness sincerely ticks me off.”
“Good.” She turned around on her heel and sashayed into the igloo, all the while very aware of Jaye’s eyes fixed on her swaying hips.
Jason watched Zemar as she conversed with Muna and Barine about five minutes after she had ducked into the igloo. Jaye wasn’t back in yet but Jason wasn’t very occupied with that thought at the moment, what he couldn’t understand was the scent coming to him in faint whispers from Zemar. It was a scent that reminded him so strongly of Jaye and he was confused as to why he hadn’t ever noticed it before. His sense of smell had improved greatly since he gained his strength so he knew this scent was new. There was only one explanation: something intimate had happened between Jaye and Zemar while they were outside.
Jason crossed him arms and shifted in his position while grumbling to himself.
