Chapter 18

**RUMI'S P.O.V**

Alicia and my dad have been quiet at the table since we started eating dinner. It's like they are waiting for me to say something. Whenever I look at them they are already looking at me but look away when they see me looking at them.

"Dad?"

"Yes Rumi."

"Why are you two staring at me?" I asked. Alicia looked away to avoid answering me.

"It's nothing, are you feeling alright?" Dad ask.

"Yes, why?" I asked and took a sip of my fruit punch

"Nothing just wondering." He shrug. I nod nd went back to eating. Five minutes later dad asked.

"How's Isaac?"

"He's alright." I mumbled while playing with my carrots in my plate.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, why so much questions." I look up at my dad and raise an eyebrow

"Its just that Sarah's anniversary is coming up and I know you can be more aggressive and you have been a little distant with Isaac, we only saw him two times after you introduce him and those two times he didn't even styed for minutes. You guys use to go on dates all the time but now you're always in your room."

"You don't have to worry about me and Isaac and I are fine."

"Are you sure, you know we are always here if you want to talk."

I nod. there is something I could talk to them about and they deserve to know especially dad. Maybe they can help the situation but there is a possibility they would feel the same way as me and I don't want them to dislike Isaac in anyways because that would make everything worst.

"Alexander Morgan is his uncle!" I suddenly admit.

"W-what?" Dad ask. He and Alicia stop eating and look at me.

The guy that killed mom, he's Isaac's uncle." I whispered with my head down

"Oh wow." Dad said and sat back in his chair and process the information.

"Honey I'm so sorry. I know it must be tough for you."

"It is and our relationship haven't been the same since I found out, I don't want you guys to hate him, Isaac I mean, he didn't do anything wrong."

"You know he didn't do anything wrong but you still distance yourself from him Rumi." Alicia said. It was my time to sit back and think about it because it is true.

"I know but whenever I' around Isaac my mom and Alexander is the only thing I can think about."

"Rumi I know it is tough for you but Isaac is your boyfriend you're letting grieve play a big part in your relationship and you have to get pass that and we are here to help you. We're always here." Dad said and Alicia nod in agreement.

There's a lot I have to think about tonight.

2 DAYS LATER

I woke up when I felt my blanket sliding off my body. I open my eyes to see Isaac smiling down at me.

"You're so creepy." I groan and close my eyes again.

Isaac chuckled and kiss my forehead.

"Good morning baby."

"Good morning, any reason why you're here so early." I look over at the clock and saw it was 7:30 in the morning.

"I want to bring you somewhere. I already got permission from your dad. Get dress." Isaac said as he ruffle through my drawer and pick out clothes before putting them in my duffle bag.

"And where are we going?"

"Just go get ready please babe."he said

I took a shower and brush my teeth. Isaac said we were going to get breakfast on the way so I just said goodbye to my parents who gave us a smile and told us to take care.

"So is this like a early date?"

"Kind of, what do you want for breakfast."

"Coffee."

"Just coffee?"

"Um donut?"

"How about a egg and bacon sandwich with a bowl of raspberry and banana."

"And coffee." I mumbled

"And coffee." Isaac chuckled and I smiled.

We stopped at a small café that sells amazing breakfast. Isaac said we should eat in the car because we had kind of a long journey. I kind of had an idea of where were going on why. He knew my mom's anniversary is coming up and how I m but I honestly wouldn't get mad at Isaac for no reason even if he is related to Alexander he wasn't the one that kill my mom. The problem is the memories whenever I'm around Isaac because I can't forget he's the nephew of my mom's killer.

I miss my mom a lot and it's hard to live without her. I was drifting off to sleep. I heard Isaac sighed but I ignored him

I woke up when the car stop but I didn't open my eyes. The familiar of pinecones and wet dirt filled my nose telling me we are exactly where I thought we were going. The cabin. Isaac shook my shoulder and I swat his hand away with my eyes still close.

"Come on you're not sleeping". Isaac said and started to massage my scalp. I sighed and relax a bit more.

"Yes I am". I mumbled.

"Come on, Rumi please".

"Fine".I open my eyes.

"I have something for you".He said and reach into his pocket he pulled out a black box and gave it to me.

"What's this?" I asked as I turn the box over in my hand

"Open it".

I open the box and gasp. It was a gold bracelet with I+R engraved into it. It was beautiful. I took it out and observed it bit more. The sun reflecting off of it making it even more amazing.

"It's beautiful Isaac."

"It means I'm yours". He smile at me and I kiss him deeply. He took it from my hand and held unto my hand then locked the bracelet of my wrist

My eyes became blurry and I wipe them quickly.

"Are you crying?" Isaac chuckled

"Don't act surprise you're being too sweet." I hugged him and he return it. "Thank you, I love it."

"You're welcome baby."
