chapter 22: Jealousy Unlimited
Autumn
I wore a red cold-shoulder top with a black leather skirt. With that, I wore long black boots and my favorite small diamond earrings. Applying light makeup, I let my red hair down.
After I was quite satisfied with my look, I took a few selfies. I stopped when Isabel dragged Steven to my room. "You have to take her, got it?" she asked sternly. I glanced at both of them. Isabel was holding Steven's ears.
"Wow," both of them let out, looking at my appearance.
"You have to take her to the Silver base on the bike, with you, got it?" she ordered it for the last time.
Steven let out a frustrated sigh. "Rest in peace, Steven," he mumbled to himself. "If Ian saw, he would bury me alive."
"I'll save you," I said with a smile. "You have to take me there, okay?"
"Fine, let's go." He walked away in defeat and I followed him. When I spared one last glance at Isabel, she gave me a thumbs up.
I rode on the bike with Steven. I placed my hands on his shoulder. He grumbled, "I am always stuck between you and Ian."
I retorted, "Well, you chose that path. My car is at my restaurant. You gotta drop me there tomorrow." He groaned before starting the bike. "Are you sure Ian is there right now?" I asked just to be fully sure.
He deadpanned, "Of course! He texted me. We have a meeting."
I kept annoying him during the ride. At one point, he wanted to throw me off the bike when I talked about girls. He didn't do flings. According to Steven, he wanted only one special person in his life whom he would adore forever. I founded it very cute. The girl who will get Steven is definitely lucky, I thought.
Soon, we reached the base. I got down and waited for Steven. Later, we walked inside together.
It was not my first time here. As their queen, it was my first time stepping inside. Whoever saw me bowed and greeted me and Steven.
"Hello, L.L."
"Welcome, L.L."
I just nodded at them.
We entered the room where everyone was there, along Ian. There was supposed to be an important meeting. Everyone there stood up and greeted me. Ian glanced at me from head to toe and a bright smile evolved on my lips.
"What a surprise, Queen!" one of them said.
I sat next to Aubree and stated, "Call me, L.L. Queen may change but not L.L."
She nodded, already afraid of my dangerous tone.
"Why are you here, Autumn?" my dear husband asked, annoyance covering his face. This is why I am here. To annoy the heck out of you.
I crossed my arms and made myself comfortable on the chair. "An important meeting is going on. Give me three reasons for not coming here." He was about to say something, but I continued, "If you can give three reasons, I will leave this room."
He took his Rubix cube which was on the table and became silent. There he goes, taking time to think. "Hurry up. You will make everyone late, Ian. And as a king, you should be the punctual one," I urged him to speak.
He saw everyone looking at him and cleared his throat before speaking, "First, this meeting is not important to you. Second, you are injured. And third..."
I smirked. "See? You couldn't give me the third reason. Now I will give you an answer to your question. I am here because I am the Silver Queen. No decision will be made without the consultation of the queen. Even during the rule of Boss, he took all the decisions after discussing it with the Boss Lady, right?"
Aubree supported me and said, "Yes. L.L. is right."
I looked at Steven. "Of course. She's correct."
Everyone agreed as well, making Ian clench his fist. "Very well then. Let's start the meeting," he let out and started explaining the details of the next attack. After explaining, he was about to end the plan, saying, "We will plant five men in the five most deadly gangs after ours. Y'all know the names. So, they can easily send us information and we'll attack according to that."
"But that will be a problem," I interfered. "If we put five of our men, one may get caught. So that will leave us with no information from any gangs."
"So, what do you suggest?" Steven asked with interest.
"Put three men in each gang. If one gets caught, the other two will immediately inform us. In that way, we will always be one step ahead, like our king." I motioned towards Ian. A few of them chuckled, while he threw daggers at me.
"I support the decision," Tanner said. He was one of the executives of the Silver.
"Me too." Bianca raised her hand.
"I agree too, Leader."
"Yes, L.L. is right."
"She is definitely a beauty with brains. Hot!" a manly voice commented. We looked at the direction of the voice. It was Stevend. I was sitting face to face with him. He was also another executive. He had brown hair and grey eyes.
I let out a laugh. "Well, you're not that bad yourself. Thanks, anyway." His face turned red at that instant. He was blushing.
Ian banged his hand on the table all of a sudden. I flinched at the sound, my heart almost leaping out of the chest.
"We will very well follow this then. The meeting ends here," he almost growled the last part.
One by one, everyone started going out. Almost the room was empty. Only Steven, Ian, I, Aubree, and Stevend were there. Stevend was about to get up.
I held Stevend's hand and mumbled, "You look cuter when you blush."
Instantly, I was pulled from my chair. Ian held my wrist tightly. "Everyone, get out!" he hollered. Steven and Aubree gave me a pitiful look and got out, followed by Stevend. Ian closed the door, but he didn't leave his tight grip on my wrist. "What is your problem?"
"What's my problem? I have zero problems. You're the one filled with problems," I said as I tried to free myself from his grip.
"You come here wearing this seductive outfit, ruin my image in front of my people, and flirt with Stevend, my fucking executive?"
"Did my outfit seduce you? No. So why does it bother you?" I almost yelled. "You are ruining my image in front of my people. Do you think I am the kind of person who will stay quiet? Besides, what if I flirt with Stevend? You promised to stay loyal before this contract ends, I didn't."
I put enough force and freed my wrist from his grip. I was about to walk away, but he roughly held me by my waist this time. "You're making me go insanely crazy, Autumn. Just stop doing this."
I challenged him, looking deep into my blue orbs, "Make me."
I pulled his hands away and walked out confidently from the room. I was looking around and found Stevend near the bar. I headed there.
"Hey, there!" I chirped.
He smiled. "Hi, L.L."
I whispered, "Aubree said everything, right?"
"She said to do stuff, but the words are true though. You are hot."
"Come what may, I am your L.L. So just act accordingly," I said, narrowing my eyes at him.
He nodded. "What would you like to have?"
"Red wine."
Stevend told the bartender and he handed me a glass of red wine. I took a sip and started talking to him. I could feel Ian glaring at me. I laughed on purpose, so did Stevend.
As soon as I held his hand one more time, a loud voice echoed through the room, "You're dead, Stevend!"
I screamed when a bullet pierced through Stevend's hand. "Stevend!"
I looked at Ian. He was still pointing his gun at him. "Ian, what are you doing? Put the gun down!" I hollered.
The look Ian gave made everyone stop dead on their tracks. As if one step from them will result in Ian putting a bullet through their heads.
"Bro, stopWoah!" Steven raised up his hands in surrender when he saw that Ian pointed the gun at him this time. "I am out of this. He's all yours, Autumn."
I held Stevend's arm, which was bleeding profusely. "Go to the doctor, ASAP!" I mumbled, "I'll handle Ian, just go."
He got up and Aubree helped him to go to the doctor. I pulled out my gun and pointed it on Ian. I said in a deadly tone, "Now, we are talking. One more bullet coming out of your gun will result in the last bullet piercing through your head from my gun."
Everyone gasped.
"What is your problem? I told you that I didn't promise to be loyal. So why are you bursting out?" I asked rudely.
His orbs locked with mine, throwing daggers at me. He put the muzzle of his gun on my forehead. I heard a few gasps again.
"Guys, disappear before they kill each other," Steven said while getting out and everyone cowered away.
We were alone in the place. After a few seconds, Ian replied, "My problem is you are everywhere. I hate it when I see someone else talking to you but for me. I get angry. I see everything red. I don't know why this keeps happening to me. I try to maintain distance from you, but you manage to pull me towards you. Every freaking time."
"So? Is that my fault? How long will I try to talk to you if you keep pushing me away?"
"I hate to see you cry. I hate to see you getting hurt. I hate to lie to you, which I did about the gangs in the car today. I hate to admit that you look really hot in that dress. And I hate to admit that I like you too 'cause I am not familiar with these emotions. I hate these unusual feelings," he muttered. My heart instantly melted at his words.
"Don't you hate to admit that you kissed me back in the restaurant?" I smiled when I said that.
He had a small smile too. "No," he let out and looked at my lips. "I hate to admit that kissing you back was the best decision I've ever taken."
He lowered his gun and I did the same. Then he leaned in to kiss me, which I didn't hesitate to accept.
He cupped my cheeks, deepening the kiss whereas I ran a hand down through his hair and he groaned.
"So, you didn't marry me for the gang, did you?" I questioned in between the kiss.
"Don't ruin the moment. But I did not. I married you so that I could stay with you and torture you, forever."
I laughed and kissed him again.
He licked my bottom lip, asking for permission and I opened my mouth, letting him explore my mouth and dominate my tongue again.
Remind me to thank Isabel later. I made this emotionally challenged guy realize his emotions.
I like Ian and he likes me back. What else do I need in my life?
