Chapter 17

Turvi's pov

Home sweet home... No matter wherever you stay you will get peace in your home only.

Finally, we are back to our home where we belong. I have worn a pink chikankari sleeveless long frock with pink leggings along with link net dupatta to make my Mumma happy.

Because I won't be wearing these clothes often.

And Stuti had worn a nude brownish pink colour plain kurti with same colour straight pants along with same colour dupatta or glitter horizontal lines work over it.

We just reached here by train and I can see my Mumma and papa waiting for us.

We both looked at each other and nodded. And just ran towards them and hugged them tightly.

I hugged papa and she hugged Mumma.

I am more close to papa and she is more to Mumma.

We do it always whenever we come back on vacation we always run and hug them.

"How are you, my children? We missed you so much." Papa asked us.

"We are perfectly fine and we miss you too." we both replied in unison.

"Now come and give me a hug Turu," Mumma said and I broke my hug with papa and hugged Mumma while Stuti hugged papa.

"Finally you both are here now I won't let you go away from me until you're married," Mumma said and I rolled my eyes.

Her every topic ends with marriage only.

"Ok now come on we have to go home and eat something we are hungry," Stuti whined and we laughed.

She looks cute whenever she whines like a child.

Papa put our luggage in the car and we sat inside.

He drove towards our home.

We reached home after a good 45 minutes.

Once Mumma opened the door I bolted inside and sprawled over the couch.

I'm exhausted totally after this train journey.

"God, Turu you're 22 years old. Not 2 years old when will you behave like an adult, not a kid? At this age, I was married to your papa..." here we go with her ranting.

Her same rant about my behaviour and her marriage. God save me.

"Mumma first you decide I'm an adult or a kid. Whenever I say something you say Turu you're a kid you don't understand anything then again you say for God sake Turu you're 22 and all. So first decide then we'll talk." I told her with a wink and her face is worth looking.

I can see papa and Stuti try to not laugh out loud.

"God this girl has got a sharp tongue I see. Staying away from us has changed you a lot. I have to again train you to be in control. One day because of your sharp tongue you will be in great trouble remember that." Mumma said it like every time and I ignored her royally.

"Masi (Maternal aunt) leave her, she is a spoiled brat. You don't waste your energy on her. You come and talk to me. I'm your perfect daughter right?" Stuti said to calm the situation like every time.

Sometimes I think she is her daughter and I'm adopted one here.

She is the perfect girl material for my mother.

"Yeah, sometimes I think you're my daughter and the one whom I have given birth to is nowhere near me," Mumma said.

I'm glad I'm not like you, Mumma. I am not a submissive like you with old thinking.

"Ok ok now stop this and you both go to your rooms. You must be tired." papa said to end the drama and it worked.

I just took my lazy ass up to my room and opened it.

It's the same as the way I left it. I took a deep breath and decided to shower and then sleep.

I changed my clothes into soft comfortable ones that had a lemon green tank top tucked under a green floral shoe skirt and directly hugged my bed and my sweet bed.

Once my head hit the pillow I lost myself in sweet dreams.

"Turu wake up and eat something." I heard Stuti's voice and groaned in annoyance.

Yaha vi shanti se koi sone nahi deta.

"Let me sleep please," I said and stuff my face more in the pillow.

"Ok sleep masi made your favourite Biryani and chicken tikka with Kadai paneer and butter naan," she said in a sing sang voice.

The food items made my mouth water automatically.

I got up and looked at her sheepishly.

"What happened aren't you sleepy?" she asked sarcastically.

Can I just hit her? She is teasing me after making me wake up from my sweet dreams.

"Don't plan my murder in your head girl. I know that looks very well on your face. Whenever you curse someone or kill someone in your head you give that look." she said and I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah roll them more and they will fall off," said my bitchy subconscious.

Tu chup nahi reh sakti kya? (Can't you stay quiet?)

No answer came.

"It's good that you know it then why are you teasing me and calling for your death?" I asked her smiling and I know it's looking creepy as fuck.

"Whatever, now get your lazy butt up and wash your face and come down," she said like my Mumma.

"My butt is sexy girl, not lazy," I told her to tease her and she shook her head and left making me laugh hard.

I got up and washed my face and suddenly I remembered I haven't checked my phone for a long time.

I checked it and see 20 missed calls and 15 texts from Aashu fuck!

My phone is in silent mode why god why?

I immediately text him back that I was sleeping and my phone was in silent mode and I saw he has written that he has talked with Stuti.

The text got a single tick and I sighed. I kept my phone on charge as it needs to be charged as well.

I will call him after eating. I went downstairs and the Aroma hit me hard.

So delicious. I raked my eyes over the dining table and bingo it has our favourite items only.

Biryani and chicken tikka for me and naan and kadai paneer for her.

And in sweet it's our mutual favourite jalebi with rabri kulfi.

I know I must be drooling by now.

"No need to drool standing here come here and eat," Mumma said and I listen to her without delay.

I served myself with yummy food.

And started to eat like I'm starved for days.

"No one is taking away your food, eat properly. The man who will marry you will definitely curse us for giving you to him. God save him." Mumma said and once again I ignored her comment.

It's nothing new that I'm hearing but she doesn't know that my Aashu isn't like that he has accepted me the way I'm. And I love him more for it but just angry a little about that lie he told me and asked me to say.

But no worries I will punish him for that too after our marriage. He has to pay for lying to me.

We finished eating and was eating the sweet when my mother said.

"You know I have to tell you both something," she said.

"What?" I asked.

"We got a proposal from a good family for marriage," she said and I and Stuti both froze in our place.
