Korey

I open my eyes, and everything is blurry, and the room is spinning, memories of Hades knocking me unconscious become clear in my mind.

"That fucking asshole," I yell angrily, "I am going to murder him."

I open a portal to the underworld, and I jump through. I landed a few miles away from the castle, I have a feeling that he might be there. I whistle for Cerberus, the ground begins to shake as the monstrous dog runs my way, I missed the little guy.

He stops in front of me and lowers his head, I rub the middle head and he pants happily, and he barks.

"Missed you too baby. I need your help," I say, and he barks.

"Where is that sorry excuse of a father of yours? Can you find him?"

He barks and shifts to his side and lets me climb on his back, he sniffs the ground and goes in the direction of the castle. I grip his collar as he runs down to the castle.

I wanted to squeeze his hoe's neck with my bare hands and feel her suffocate and the life leaves her body and Hades too. How dare he tell me to back down from a fight for my baby? Telling me it's dangerous. Some bullshit.

Cerberus abruptly stops in front of the castle doors, and he lowers himself so I can get off his back. Once my feet touch the ground, Cerberus disappears.

I get into the castle, and I prepare myself, as I slowly transform into my true form, I feel my blood run cold and my hair grows longer, my vision is heightened, and my nails grow longer.

My super hearing picks up movement from the basement of the castle, where all the torture rooms are located. Hades is probably down there torturing the bitch as we speak.

The closer I get to them the more my anger grows and runs down as fast as I can instead of using the door, I burst through the wall and rumble and bricks go flying everywhere.

"Minthe, I want your head," I yell in a distorted voice.

I hear coughing from the far corner of the room.

"Persephone,'

I snap my head in the direction of the voice and when the dust settles, I see Hades tied up to a chair, lying on the ground. I walk over to him and lift him using my telekinesis.

"I will deal with you later," and I toss him across the room but with the amount of power I used he goes flying through walls, but I don't care, I want Minthe.

"Oh Minthe," I sing.

I hear whimpering close to my feet, and I step closer, and I find Gracie, Hades' assistant trapped under some rubble.

"What are you doing here?"

She looks up at me and smirks, her body transforms and a woman with red hair and bright green eyes is staring back at me. Her face is beautifully decorated with freckles, she was beautiful, I'll give you that.

Focus, Persephone.

"Oh sweet, Persephone, how lovely to finally meet you," she says as she effortlessly gets up from underneath the rubble.

I prepare myself to fight and hold my fists to my side. I just couldn't believe it, she was the woman I saved from being killed by Hades, if I had known I would have let him kill her and eat her soul.

"I saved you sorry ass and this is how you repay me? By stealing my baby."

"And for that, I am grateful Persephone but not for stealing my man."

"Why steal my baby? Hades dumped you for a reason." I reply.

"Payback. You stole everything from me," she fumes.

Her fists turn into balls of red flames and mine into black.

"I don't even know you Minthe,"

She lets out a frustrated sigh and she steps closer to me, but I step back.

"Your husband, this castle, the underworld. He promised me all of it!"

She hits me with a ball of flames, but I attempt to block it, but it sends me flying into a wall and I fall to the ground. My chest is tight and I'm gasping for air. I take a huge gasp of air and get myself up on my feet. I didn't want to fight with her, I just wanted my baby back.

"Where is my baby Minthe?"

She laughs, "You and your husband are so impatient."

"Tell or I'll –

"You'll kill me, then we both lose," she chuckles.

She was right, either way, she wasn't going to tell me. I close my eyes and count to five, and then I open my eyes. I'm calm, ready to reason, if there is one thing that Hades told me about the art of war, sometimes fighting isn't winning. I had to talk to her and get her to understand.

"Minthe, let's talk, okay? Woman to woman," I say.

She lowers her hands, and she returns to her normal form.

"I need my baby back; I need to bury her and move on with my life. the same way you do," I say, "Hades did you dirty and I am so sorry, if had known I wouldn't have let that happen to you, believe me, but please don't punish my baby, punish me."

Minthe is crying, I'm sure she saw the error of her ways, I understood what she felt, nobody deserves to be kicked out of their home, regardless of the situation.

Minthe whimpers softly, "I loved him."

"I can see that, and he did too, and he's told me countless times that he is so sorry for what he did to you. He should have spoken to you."

Minthe lets out a shaky breath, "I'm so sorry."

She utters a few words in Greek and with a flash of light, a ball of light appears in front of her. I hear my name being whispered in the wind and I know it's my Rose. She says a containment spell and it's transferred into a jar.

She walks over to me and hands me the jar. I pulled her into my arms.

"Thank you, Minthe,"

I take the jar from her, and I feel a gust of wind that knocks me over, almost knocking the jar out of my hands, when I look up I Hades with his hand around her neck. I get up and Hecate and Tyson are beside me.

"We have to stop him," I cry out, "Hades put her down!"

But he doesn't listen, Hecate sees the jar in my hand, and she smiles.

"I've got this," she says, "Ty, you know what to do."

Both Hecate and Tyson pull out two golden ropes and they throw them in Hade's direction, the wrap around his arms and pull them backwards and forcing Hades to release Minthe. They pulled Hades back and I ran over to Minthe, and I teleported to the house.

"Are you okay?"

She nods, coughing, "Yes, thank you."

I place the jar on top of the fireplace in the living room and I attend to Minthe.

"Hades is going to come for you," I say, I place my hand over her neck and her bruises fade.

She frowns, "I know."

I didn't want her to die. She didn't deserve it.

"I think I know how to help you."
