“What! No, this can’t be possible, she is supposed to be dead, nobody can get anything done unless I do it myself. Why isn’t she dead. Damn it. I will do it myself then. Looking someone to bait Klaus in killing Casita didn’t work out as I planned. I just hope that nobody is going to link it back to me.” The masked lady said venting out her anger as she walked to her drawer and brought out a key, she wears on a chain on her neck and unlocked it.

She then searched through some of the dangerous content she keeps hidden there, and brought out a syringe which contained some liquid potassium which is used to stop the heart. This ought to do the trick and send her off to the other side. She thought as she put it carefully in her purse and made her way to the door, carried her car keys and left, after locking up.

“Let me see, who is going to save you from me this time around, bitch. I will make sure that you will die and remain dead. If you are dead, Black remains the only heir and that means what belongs to him belongs to me and me alone.Then we can get married.” She said as she reversed the car out of her compound and headed for the hospital.

Riona was in her room that afternoon watching the news about the girl who got shot earlier today when she heard Mrs Selena screaming. She quickly got out of the room and got the parlor where she saw the maids trying to calm down Mrs Selena who was just pointing at the screen muttering over and over,

“That is my daughter. My daughter…..”

“Wait, Casita was her daughter as in Black’s sister?” Riona said to herself as she came closer to calm her down.

“Mrs Selena, calm down. Everything will work out. I promise. Just take a deep breath.” She said as Mrs Selena clutched onto Riona’s hand saying,

“I have to go there. Promise me you will take me there. I have been calling Black, he won’t answer the phone. They said she was kidnapped. How can my baby be kidnapped. My little sweetheart.” She said as Riona had no choice but to console her.

“Don’t worry. Black is there with her. And we are going to go too as soon as I find out which hospital, okay? Pull yourself together.

“I know which hospital she is in.” A voice said as they turned and saw a man in a black suit standing in the doorway. How the hell did he get in without anyone’s notice? Riona thought as Mrs Selena walked to the man and said,

“Mikey, you are here. What is this I am hearing? My son left early this morning and now my daughter is in the hospital. What is going on? Why am I left in the dark. Tell me what happened.” She said as Mikey lead her to a couch and sat her down and said,

“Okay, I will tell you what went on and then we can go and visit them okay?” He said as Riona decided to excuse herself.

“Um hi. I guess I will go get changed first while you keep her busy Mr…..Mikey?” She said as Mikey nodded his head as Mrs Selena said,

“I almost forgot, this is Farah, Black’s new wife. They are supposed to go on the honeymoon today but this happened.” She said giving a short summary as Mikey rose his eyebrow in question but kept quiet as Riona quickly hurried out of there. She got the bad feeling that Mikey knew that she wasn’t the real Farah and that was bad.

“Is anything the problem, you kept on staring at her throughout the time she was here, are you having feelings for her or something. Where is Michael by the way?” Mrs Selena said as Mikey settled all his attention on her and replied,

“Michael is um….indisposed. But he will be discharging from the hospital soon. And no, I am not having feelings for her, Farah looks different, nothing like I expected, that is all.” He said as Black’s mum decides to take his explanation and shrugged.

“Now can you tell me what the hell happened to my kids.” She said as Mikey began to tell his tale.

*********THIRTY MINUTES LATER************

The trio soon arrived at the hospital as Mrs Selena was out of the car before it even stopped. She raced up the stairs and soon she was in the waiting room asking for where Casita was.

The nurses quickly saw that she was her mother and was quite famous also so they quickly lead her and Riona with Mikey to the ward where Black had been waiting in since the moment they got there.
Black sat down on one of the benches reliving what had happened last night, especially when the doctor came out shaking his head. His world had already gone crashing down and everywhere became pitch black as the doctor said.

“I’m sorry, but we tried our best…”

“Doctor, get in here, we have caught a faint pulse.” A nurse said as they both ran inside like pursued culprits. Inwardly he was dead, he could only stare point blankly at the door but he wasn’t seeing anything. He couldn’t hear anything; he couldn’t move a limb or even talk. He just stood there, staring at the door waiting for the doctor to come out and complete his earlier statement.
He waited from another two hours. That was when he saw his mother and wife with Mikey walking down to meet him. Also the door opened as the doctor came out followed by his colleagues, and the nurses who were all worn out.

Immediately Mrs Selena who had just gotten here and wasn’t aware if this was indeed her child’s doctor rushed forward and asked

“Doctor, how is she?”

“Well, we managed to stabilize her condition, and her surgery was successful, although she had some internal bleeding. But we don’t know , if she had acquired amnesia, so we have to wait till she wakes up…if she wakes up.” Doctor Tyson said to the trio, Mikey had stepped back to give them some space since he wasn’t around immediate family. Riona had her eyes on Black the whole time wondering how she was going to console him. She could see how agitated he was, hearing what the teacher just said,

“Doctor, what do you mean by if? What is happening”? Black asked looking at the doctor.

“Well. To tell you the truth, your sister was supposed to be dead, the moment she was shot as it hit a very major organ but she managed to get to the hospital. She was supposed to be dead, before we even started surgery but I didn’t want to tell you, that, because she was still breathing. But when we lost her during the surgery, I don’t know her, but she came back. Your sister is a very strong girl, sir. She is fighting for her life and that is quite a miracle. So if she is able to keep fighting and wakes up from the coma, then… well like I said, it is a miracle.” The doctor said breathing deeply.

“Okay doctor, I understand, thank you so much for doing your best to bring her back.” Black said shaking his hand.

“It is no problem, sir, just trying my best as a doctor.” The doctor said as they disengaged.

“Can we go see her now?” He asked looking hopeful.

“Well, I don’t normally encourage it, but I will make an exception, but only one is allowed. The rest will have to wait till the next day. And it won’t exceed five minutes. So choose among yourselves who will enter.” The doctor said as he gestured to Riona and Mrs Selena who were standing beside Black.


“ Son, You go first; I will see her tomorrow. I am just happy that she is alive.” Mrs Selena said wiping her tears.

“That’s settled then, please follow me.” the doctor said to Black as they both entered the room Casita was in.

As the door was shut, Mrs Selena burst into another round of tears as Riona wrapped her hands around her, patting her.

“Why didn’t you want to see your daughter Ma, I thought you wanted to see her badly.” She added as Mrs Selena cleaned her face with her handkerchief and said,

“It is because….my daughter and I didn’t part on good terms. I do not know if she is angry at me. I don’t want her to see me, get ballistic and worsen her temperature. As long as I know where my kids are, I am fine with it.” She said as Riona felt bad for her and said,
“Just because your kids have a disagreement with you doesn’t mean that they don’t love you. And now Casita needs you more than ever. Promise me when she wakes up, That you will see her and try to mend the broken fences with her. In my case, I will do anything to have my mum back, even if it is just for a day.” She said as Mrs Selena looked at her with gratitude and hugged her.

“I promise and I promise to be a good mum to you too. You are now a part of my family.”
