Shit, shit, shit, shit.

Apollo quickly dropped her as Eros approached them. Her heart was hammering against her ribcage now and she thought of what to do to save Apollo from Eros' rage. Everyone went dead silent, and the only noise heard was Eros' footsteps. She was torn between explaining herself and watching to see what Eros had to say. Explaining would mean she was guilty, but keeping calm meant she didn't know what Eros could do to Apollo.

Eros walked up to them and pushed Apollo on the chest. "Why were you carrying her?" he demanded.

"Eros..." Cassandra began to speak, but Eros shot her a mean stare.

"I didn't ask you the question." He turned back to Apollo who was now standing with his head bent. "What do you think you are doing with her?"

"We were playing games and he lifted me like that because our team won, it means nothing!" Cassandra said, letting the words out of her mouth quickly so Eros won't stop her.

Eros glared at her and somehow, she managed to fix her gaze on his chest, unable to look him in the eyes. Now was not the time to challenge him, she didn't want him to carry out his anger on Apollo. He glared at her for a while, then turned to Apollo and grabbed him by the collar.

"Now, let me give you a strict warning, keep your damn hands to yourself, unless I ask you to touch her, because next time, I won't be this benevolent." He shoved Apollo away turned and grabbed Cassandra by the wrist and dragged her away with him. "Bully, follow me now," he called. Bully trailed behind them as the other men remained silent until they were in the house.

Cassandra snatched her hand away from him once they were in his room, he ignored her and turned to Bully.

"What did you find out about him?"

Bully hiked his shoulders before he spoke. "Nothing, his parents died at a very young age, leaving him in the hands of his brutal uncle who passed away a few years ago from cancer. Nothing so peculiar except his street fights."

Cassandra's heart relaxed and she was very proud of Apollo, how did he manage to manipulate his identity like that? She chewed on her inner cheek to suppress her smile. Eros dismissed Bully and turned to face her.

"What were you doing amid men?" he asked, glaring at her. She annoyed and calmed him at the same time. What kind of a human was she?

"Game. I was playing games and you had no right to disrupt us."

Eros chuckled sarcastically. "Disrupt you? You didn't see the way that guy was staring at you and grabbing your body? Were you oblivious to that?" his tone has picked up again.

"We were only excited, and he lifted me out of excitement."

"Out of excitement? He was disrespecting your body..."

Cassandra scoffed. "You are the one to talk? If he was doing what you are accusing him of, he is no different from you because, you see me as a sex toy, waiting for an opportunity to use me."

"What?" Eros' brows furrowed and he squinted at her.

Cassandra's mouth opened and closed as word failed her. Why were they failing her now? She hadn't meant for it to come out that way, but it was only nice that she said them anyway. "What do you want from me then?" she asked slowly, avoiding his gaze.

"Can't you see that I am attracted to you?" he asked in frustration. Cassandra's eyes widened and her heart was beginning to thump when the next word from him ruined everything. "You should be grateful for that."

Her eyes flared and she glared at him. Really? She should be grateful that he was attracted to her. "Well, I'm not attracted to you!" she snapped and made to walk away but he grabbed her arm and spun her to face him.

"We are not done talking. What do you think of me?" he asked sternly.

She squinted at him. "Now, Mr. Eros Castillo, leader of the El dragon family, let me tell you what I think about you. You are the scum of the earth and I hate you for all the things you did to me and all those other girls! I hate that you brought your ugly presence into my very beautiful and perfect life and I hate you for killing my father, I really wish you go through all the pain and hardship you caused me and others out there, I hate you and you need to get help."

Eros stared speechlessly at her, he must really be dumbfounded by the venom coming out of her mouth. He stood frozen and she didn't end there.

"You are a really bad person and all you have brought to my life is ugly, bitter darkness, I shouldn't be grateful for that because if it wasn't this charade we are putting up for your business, I won't have anything to do with someone like you, ever!" With that, she snatched her hand away from him and walked out of the room, banging the door so hard that it shook on its hinges.

As she went down the stairs towards the kitchen to drink a tall glass of water and calm her nerves a little, she was torn again. She knew she was not this vile and she would never enjoy harming anyone with words, but a part of her felt Eros deserved it, that darkest part of her she never knew existed until recently. He just has a way of bringing out the worst in her. She huffed and stepped into the kitchen and was almost startled when she saw Carlos sitting by the island. He sent her a cocky grin, she scowled and ignored him.

"What they say about you is true then," he said.

This was another despicable human being she knew. She didn't hate him just because he was Eros' friend, she felt he was just not a trustworthy person. That shouldn't even bother her right?

"I don't know what you heard, but if it makes you breathe fine, then it's okay by me." She opened the refrigerator to take out a bottle of water.

"The sass, I love it. We could be good buddies, dama of the house."

She ignored him. He was the least of her problems at that moment. No matter how satisfied part of her was for letting out how she really felt about Eros, she was also scared of what he would do to her once he recovered from the blow. Was he going to lock her up in that dark place again without food and water for days? How could she have let her anger get the best of her? She was supposed to hold it in until she was able to make it out of there with Apollo, now she ruined everything because she couldn't put her stupid anger in check. Honestly, she knew she was making progress, Eros was falling for her, and for him to admit he was attracted to her was no joke, but now, she was going to return to square one.

She was so deep in her thought that she didn't hear Carlos walking up to her and only noticed his presence when her body felt his heat and when he ran a hand up her arm.

"I assume that's a yes?" he asked, his face drawn into a smile and his eyes watching her lustfully. She tried to break away but he held her tightly, shaking his head. "Ah, ah, we are not done talking."

"What is wrong with you?"

"We are only getting familiar here and I know you will want to know what I taste like, seeing that you didn't say anything to my proposal."

Cassandra didn't hear anything he said to her, but she was not going to let this jerk touch her. "Are you just a perverted jerk or does sleeping with different women make your dick increase in size?"

"Who knows?" he said with a stupid smile. "You can feel it or let it fill you up to find out, we have to find a way it is going to work for us."

Was this not the same man that professed love to Lucia and is willing to pay off her debt so that they can be together? It only made her wonder what his real motives are.

"You are just a stupid man," she cussed.

A frown creased his face and he leaned on her, pinning her body to the counter. "I am not Eros who lets your remarks slide, maybe until you prove to me that I can let them slide as well, so watch what you say to me."

"Why? Do my words make your dick shrink?"

Before Carlos could say anything, a force yanked him away from her, the tall glass she held in front of her to prevent Carlos from kissing her fell to the ground and broke into pieces and she looked up to see Eros on the floor with Carlos already, only that he was on top of the bigger scumbag, punching him and not minding the blood covering Carlos' face. This time her screams did not stop him from beating Carlos to a pulp. His men must have been alerted by the noise, because they all rushed into the kitchen, even some staff, but no one dared to separate them.

When Cassandra thought Eros has beaten Carlos to his heart's content, he stood up from the guy and went straight to the knife holder and grabbed one from there.

"You think I don't know about you and Dimitra? That I chose to remain silent about it doesn't make me a fool!" he barked. "You want to fuck every woman that is mine!"

As he approached Carlos who was still squirming on the floor, Cassandra ran in front of him, hoping he would listen to her this time, he moved forward and when he was close enough, she grabbed onto his arm where he held the knife holding him tightly.

"Please, please," she pleaded.

Eros shoved her away from him, and she found herself dropping to the floor on her butt, the sharp knife clattered to the floor, and without any more words or sparing a glance her way, he left the kitchen. Cassandra looked around and saw Lucia, the look on her face confused her.

That was Eros Castillo, he always solved his problems with violence. But if he stopped being violent with her, it only means she could take advantage of his feelings and free herself and her lover from there.
