Chapter 29: Fight for the throne

-Great, I seem to look better now.

Alexander, who was looking at himself in a mirror in a nearby store, said these words while holding some cookies in his hands.

-Gloton. -Calling out to his faithful friend. Glutton appears instantly, who is bigger because he has gone up several levels- -Here you go, little friend.

[Glutton has gained 40 experience points].

(Little by little he has been understanding how this thing works, according to the food you feed him he will gain more experience, in this case he loves sweets).

Alexander caresses his little friend while he was on his way to the sports park, today was the day of his fight against Felix, but there were still two hours left, as agreed.

(This week the trained, like never before, I spent my stats points as much as possible, so I think I should be doing well with this, right?)

[Stats: Strength Rank C: 60 points, Intelligence Rank B: 100 points, Constitution Rank E: 5 point, Speed Rank C: 65 points, Social Rank E+: 10 points, Defense Rank B-: 80 points].

(Seriously it was a complete headache, but at least I’m stronger than before, my stats are enough to have a good fight against opponents such as Takeda).

-As much as I think about it I have a problem, I still don’t understand what the constitution stat is used for, it seems to be important, but I can’t find a use for it.

Alexander while raising his stats understood what each one was for, attack helped him to do more damage, but also to throw better punches, intelligence helped him to be more insightful, to have more mana and be more strategic, speed implied faster punches and greater reaction speed, defense to be able to dodge and endurance, but constitution was the only one for no apparent reason.

I have 300 points of mana, social can’t be raised either, but at least I know how to use it. I also improved a skill and I could practice with the new ones, I’m sure I will win.

Giving himself confidence. Alexander heads to the park ready for his confrontation.

Just arriving at the place the whispers of people soon appeared, everything seems to indicate that the news of the fight between Alexander and Felix became popular in the high school.

(This really makes me uncomfortable, to everything, where is this guy?)

Alexander moves his eyes in the direction of the crowd in search of someone, which he can’t find no matter how many times he looks.

-It looks like he didn’t come. -Feeling disappointed, Alexander heads right to the center of the place to wait for his opponent.

The minutes passed and everyone was expectant of what was going to happen, many thought that Alexander had given up on life and was here just to be annihilated by Felix, after all he couldn’t beat him.

-Wow, did I keep you waiting? -But at the crowd’s thoughts, Felix had appeared and stood right in front of Alexander. -Thank you for waiting, I was looking for this.

As he recited these words, Felix tossed Alexander a bag containing MMA gloves.

-What is all this? -Alexander, who seemed quite surprised by Felix’s attitude, decided to ask the origin of the idea.

-What do you mean, what for? This is a public park, we can’t start a street fight from one day to the next, that’s illegal. -Felix was explaining the situation to Alexander-. -That’s why we use these gloves, this way it looks like a sport fight.

What Felix was saying made perfect sense, if he and Alexander started a fight without gloves, the guards would see it as a street fight and would have to intervene.

-Don’t worry, this still won’t stop me from beating you up. -Showing his classic mocking smile, Felix walks away taking his position- -When you’re ready you give me the signal.

(Well let’s do this, I must win and complete the mission, I must do it) -Putting on the gloves given by Felix, Alexander takes a deep breath while mentally preparing himself.

-I am ready. -Giving the signal all present focus their attention to only one place, this moment was going to decide who would be the definitive King of the high school.

At the instant of saying his signal, Felix lunges at high speed against Alexander who without any problem took his distance.

Alexander wasted no time and launched a flurry of blows to Felix’s weak points, which thanks to his increased stats he was able to see.

-Wow, you know how to throw good punches. -Felix, for his part, dodged and blocked all of Alexander’s blows to throw his own.

Surprisingly, Felix was able to dodge Alexander’s counter punch easily and throws a blow with his elbow to his chin.

But without lagging behind, Alexander dodges Felix’s attack to then take a few steps away.

-Since when was Alexander so strong?

-I could barely follow his movements that just happened.

The expectant crowd of the fight was going crazy, for everyone Alexander would be slaughtered by Felix, but to everyone’s surprise they were on the same level.

-One second that means…

-Alexander is the third King of the high school.

-Third? Rather second the stupid Marcus is not anymore.

(Wow, things have changed, before talking bad about Marcus was synonymous of fear and danger, but nowadays everybody takes it lightly, but what they say is true, I’m currently at the level of those two).

Staring at Felix, Alexander was taking his place as the third king of the high school, a position that was at stake right now.

-What the fuck do you think, motherfucker? Can’t you see it’s a fight? -Without losing confidence in himself, Felix proceeds to throw several punches at Alexander which he dodges without any problem.

-At least I’m using my brain. -After improving his position, Alexander proceeds to throw a direct blow to Felix’s stomach.

-Oh no you bastard. -Felix realizing Alexander’s intentions turns his torso with a spinning elbow strike.

[You’ve lost 7% health.]

The blow went right into Alexander’s face, but thanks to his stat boost he can take it better. -Fucking show-off.

Alexander after assimilating Felix’s blow decides to launch several blows to his weak points which Felix could only defend himself by blocking them.

-You fucking bastard, it seems it’s not a joke that you defeated Marcus. -Felix, who was not entirely sure of what he had been told, was confirming it with his own flesh.

(Felix is strong, we are at the same level physically and reaction wise, but combat experience is important).

Alexander wiped the blood from his face as he thought this being completely right, although he already lost his fear of fighting, his lack of experience was noticeable.

(I will have to use my new skill, but I must find the right moment).

While he was thinking in his mind, he was confronted by another blow from Felix.

[You dodged the attack]

-Give me a break. -While complaining, Alexander directs a direct hit to Felix’s face which he dodges by the skin of his teeth.

-Give me a break you bastard. -For his part, his enemy holds his shirt to throw him to the ground.

-I’m sorry but…” Alexander manages to escape from Felix’s grip and counterattack giving him his first clean hit in the whole fight.

-It’s not the first time they do something like that to me. -Alexander said these words to Felix while keeping his confidence, if we talk about grabs the boss of the Black Foxes headquarters was much better.

-Shut up you son of a bitch. -Felix angrily lashes out at Alexander.

(It’s now or never)

But to Alexander’s surprise, he receives him with a karate chop. -But what the hell…

(I really don’t know Karate because of my new skill).

(The mana cost of the skill is too much for only two minutes, but it is completely worth it to surprise the opponent, so let’s not waste time).

Alexander not to waste his time prepares to attack Felix who seems to be discovered.

-Wow, you know a martial art too, this... -But to Alexander's surprise a perfect kick hits his face sending him flying.

-It will be more fun now. -Felix was getting into position in what seems to be his martial art.

-This bastard, since when can he use taekwondo?
