34. PERFECT ENDING
The grand hall was bathed in soft, ethereal lighting, casting a magical glow over the elegantly decorated space. The theme "Ethereal Elegance" was brought to life through delicate drapes of pastel hues, shimmering fairy lights, and an atmosphere that exuded sophistication and grace. The excitement in the air was palpable as guests mingled, eagerly awaiting the start of the summer dress collection reveal.
Taliya stood near the entrance, her eyes wide with wonder and pride. This was her moment. She had poured her heart and soul into this collection, and now it was time to share it with the world. Haroon stood by her side, his presence a comforting anchor in the whirlwind of activity.
"Everything looks perfect," Haroon whispered, his voice filled with admiration as he shoved his hands in his pockets. He was dressed in a black button down shirt which complimented his complexion. "You've outdone yourself, Taliya."
"Thank you," she replied, her voice tinged with a mix of excitement and nerves. "I just hope everyone loves it as much as I do." Taliya was wearing white floral formal suit with stilettoes.
"They will," he assured her, giving her a supportive smile.
The lights dimmed, and a hush fell over the crowd as the first notes of a soft, melodic tune filled the room. The spotlight illuminated the runway, and the first model appeared, gliding gracefully down the platform in a flowing, pastel gown that epitomized the essence of ethereal elegance. The audience erupted into applause, the sound reverberating through the hall. Specially, the V.V.I.P. in the front seat gave their approval nod making Taliya's eyes shine brighter with pride.
Taliya watched with bated breath, her heart swelling with pride as each model showcased her designs. The dresses were a testament to her creativity and dedication—delicate lace, soft silks, and intricate beadwork all coming together to create pieces that seemed almost otherworldly. The collection was a symphony of grace and beauty, and the audience was captivated.
As she observed the scene, Taliya couldn't help but scan the room, her eyes subtly searching the faces in the crowd. She was looking for someone, someone whose presence would make this night complete. Haroon noticed her glances, the slight flicker of disappointment that crossed her face each time she realized that person wasn't there.
"Are you okay?" he asked quietly, his concern evident.
Taliya forced a smile, nodding. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just... wishing everyone could be here to see this."
Haroon understood. He knew how much Taliya had hoped that a certain someone would show up tonight, to share in her triumph. He placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "You should be proud of yourself, Taliya. This is your moment."
She squeezed his hand, grateful for his support. "Thank you, Haroon. I couldn't have done this without you."
The models continued to grace the runway, each dress more stunning than the last. The crowd's applause grew louder with each step, a testament to Taliya's success. She watched with tears of joy in her eyes, realizing that despite the absence of that special someone, this night was still magical. Her dream had become a reality, and nothing could take that away from her.
As the final model made her way down the runway, the audience rose to their feet, giving Taliya a standing ovation. The sound was overwhelming, a tidal wave of appreciation and admiration. Haroon beamed at her, pride evident in his eyes.
"Take a bow," he whispered.
With a deep breath, Taliya stepped onto the runway, her heart pounding with emotion. She walked to the center, acknowledging the applause with a graceful bow. As she stood there, basking in the adoration of the crowd, she realized that this was only the beginning. Her journey was far from over, and she had the strength and determination to continue, no matter what.
Haroon joined her on the runway, standing by her side as the applause continued. Taliya's eyes once again scanned the room, but this time, she felt a sense of peace. She knew that with Haroon's unwavering support and her own inner strength, she could face anything that came her way. Ignoring the emptiness bracing her, she sighed and began.
A confident smile gracing her face as the last model exited the runway. The audience, a mix of fashion enthusiasts and industry insiders, clapped and cheered. With a nod of appreciation, Taliya raised the microphone to her lips.
“Ladies and gentlemen, thank you so much for joining us this evening. It has been an incredible journey bringing this collection to life, and I’m honored to share it with such an esteemed audience. Each piece reflects our passion and dedication, and your presence here means the world to us.”
She gestured to Haroon, who stood nearby with a warm smile.
“Before we conclude, I’d like to invite Haroon to say a few words.”
Haroon stepped forward, taking the microphone from Taliya. His gaze swept over the audience, radiating a genuine sense of gratitude.
“Thank you, Taliya. And thank you all for being here tonight. As we wrap up this wonderful showcase, I encourage you to take your time exploring the fabric pieces up close. Feel free to experience the textures and details that make each design unique. We’ve prepared a delightful after-party for you to unwind and celebrate with us. Enjoy the evening, mingle with fellow guests, and let’s make it a night to remember!”
Haroon handed the microphone back to Taliya, who gave a final nod to the audience. The applause grew louder as the guests began to rise from their seats, excited to explore the collection and enjoy the festivities to come.
As they descended the platform, Taliya was soon taken away for the questions from the special guests she has invited.
"These was one of finest collections I've ever seen." Matthew, the retired designer who was now living with his son applauded her with his genuine smile.
"More to come!" He cheered making her smile and shake his hand.
Haroon stood afar from the crowd while looking at his watch, the peaceful environment around broke with the words which stole his breath and the attention from Taliya too.
