7CHAPTER 19
Lilith's POV
After a period of 3 months and five days, I knew that a battle line has been drawn. Shannel and I decided to increase the wolf members in our back as we started preparing gradually for the supposed war.
I was eerily curious of the unknown, and imagined how much of a regret and the loads of shame upon me and my pack members If we are being defeated in the presumed war boiling quietly.
I know Shannel is a legend, Yes! she has been fighting from her youthful wolf, but I sighed knowing fully well what my opponent was up to. "Shannel, assemble all pack members immediately, let's plan out the way forward." I said inquisitively.
Shannel assembled all pack members and I gave them a brief orientation of what will happen in a jiffy. "It's high time we build a name for ourselves by confronting our opposing rogue packs, and make them know that our quietness should never be taken for granted." I uttered angrily.
"We are going to quickly recruit more wolf members into our pack, get you properly trained, possibly immune you to resist silver weapons and get you set for the forth-coming combat contest." I spoke authoritatively.
Roxanne volunteered to get our pack members ready for the training and also promised to equip them with the necessary skills to perform well for the war. "Yes! I think I have some training kits that we could Start with at the moment, Roxanne thought, then nodded with certainty."
Tyler grinned with excitement as she beheld and observed our beautiful conversations. She optioned to supervise the pre-arranged plans ensuring that it commenced as soon as possible. "It's high-time we left here," Tyler muttered as we headed straight to execute our agreed plans. I was super excited seeing my allies, passionately in support of the growth of our team.
Few months later, we had built a strong formidable team, skillfully trained to sweep off our rivals. I led a pack, as well as Shannel. Roxanne is a Beta werewolf assisting Roxanne in her pack, while Tyler was my right-hand girl standing in my stead whenever I am away.
At this point, I could flounce away the threats that could ever come from my opponent knowing fully well that my battalion was fully equipped." but it's better we know the weak points and strengths of our antagonist to increase our chances of victory," Tyler whispered to me quietly with a faint countenance.
"Lilith, let's make proper investigations well before we embark on this journey. I don't trust Marcus, I know that guy is up to something," Roxanne added intelligently. So many questions began popping up from my team members, so I thought it wise to pay attention to them.
Shannel had strange magical powers that she could use to consult with the goddess of the moon. We took advantage of that to inquire on our new adventure, myself and my team and shockingly, we discovered that our rivals had peeped into our plans and was fully armed awaiting our coming." Mother of God! No!" I exclaimed in fury, with so many questions bubbling through my mind. "How did they get to know about this?" "Oh my!" bowing my head, I uttered with a blaring surprise.
Tyler tapped me at the back and suggested that we reinforce hastily in an attempt of not loosing ourselves to be ambushed by our enemies. Meanwhile, Shannel was ready and insisted that we proceed with our plans as usual, allowing me to stand directly between two legitimate opinions.
Shannel was so confident of herself, she was proud of all the hard work she had put into fight and conquered, undefeated 20 times in a fight row, stood kirk summerfield. She felt a sense of foreboding and waiting anxiously for that day to arrive. Her courage got me inspired and triggered my hidden powers as I became more edified from within.
I popped up with courage and went after this disgusting rascals, we journeyed for 1 Month and two days, spent several days and nights accross seven mountains and seven rivers, truly, that movement left an indelible mark upon our delicate skin, it was a whole lots of sacrifice, its was obvious that Marcus and the other rogue packs and it's members had relocated from the previous place we had met them when we came for the documents recovery mission. We only wished that the full moon never met us while trotting on this unpredictable adventure.
Roxanne was gradually becoming skeptical about our movement, as she wore a malicious look that suggested lack of interest and becoming detached from the mission, " this guy's isn't anywhere to be found, why then, should we continue, I obviously see this as a waste of time and effort, I think it's better we return at this poin and think of something else to do," she shrugged with frustration. Her drooping eyes made it obviously clear that she was tired, which led to other packs members murmuring with disdain.
I was left in a pool of confusion, without knowing what next to do, I considered how far we have journeyed and counted absolute foolishness to return at this point. I sighed in bewilderment while sweating heavily. My pack members and I decided to settled in a small rugged ancient-like tent that looks so rickety and could only be reserved a home for a nutcase. We stayed there for 3 days and later headed on with our journey.
While on the journey, I heard a family noise from behind me and I turned, observing tentatively what it was. The image of how our last experience with the rogue pack displayed through my mind, " could this be a myriage?" I thought within myself. As we approach further, from one forest to another, we began to hear some profusingly resounding echoes sifting through the air and resonating towards our direction. "Yes! we found them finally!" I affirmed with certainty. I was partially Happy to see that our mission was gradually becoming fulfilled.
Every of our pack members was actively alert at this moment to attack to ambush our opposing pack. We carefully moved closer to them spread ourselves into groups of smaller team to fight them unexpectedly.
