Pressure

Tyler's POV
As I stood in front of the council of elders, my heart raced with fear. I knew that Lilith had evidence against us and that our careers, our status, and everything we had worked for was about to come to an end.
"What is the meaning of this?" The leader of the council demanded, his eyes fixed on Lilith as she approached the podium.
"I have evidence against Tyler and Roxanne," Lilith began, her voice steady and confident. "They were involved in my mother's death and have been plotting against the pack."
The council members gasped in shock, and I felt my knees begin to buckle. This was it, the end of everything I had worked for.
"That's a lie!" I shouted, stepping forward in an attempt to defend myself. "She's just trying to ruin us!"
But my words fell on deaf ears as Lilith began to present her evidence. Photos, videos, and recordings that implicated us in her mother's death and our attempts to overthrow the pack.
The council deliberated for what felt like hours, their expressions somber as they weighed the evidence against us. And then, the verdict came. We were guilty, and the punishment was exile.
Roxanne and I didn't waste any time, we quickly gathered what we could and fled the pack. We traveled for days, not daring to stop, always looking over our shoulder, knowing that Lilith was not far behind.
As we reached the edge of the pack's territory, I couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness and regret. I had lost everything, my career, my status, and most of all, my home. I was filled with the fear of being caught and the knowledge that Lilith would stop at nothing to bring me to justice.
But even in my darkest hour, I couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope. Perhaps, somewhere down the road, I could start anew, begin a new life and make amends for my mistakes. But until then, I was filled with the fear of being caught and the knowledge that Lilith would stop at nothing to bring me to justice.
As we made our way through the dense forest, I turned to Roxanne and said, "We need to find somewhere safe to hide, Lilith won't stop until she finds us."
Roxanne nodded, her eyes filled with fear, "But where can we go? The council of elders will be looking for us, we won't be safe anywhere."
I ran my hand through my hair, frustration building inside of me. "We'll figure something out, we have to. We can't stay here, it's not safe."
As we continued our journey, the fear of being caught never far from my mind, I couldn't help but think about the past. I remembered how it all started, how I had been blinded by my greed and ambition. I had made a terrible mistake, one that I would have to live with for the rest of my life.
I couldn't help but steal occasional glances at Roxanne. Even though we were in the middle of all this chaos, I couldn't help but feel grateful for her presence. She was my rock, my partner in crime, and now, my partner in exile.
We walked in silence for a while, taking in our surroundings, before Roxanne finally spoke.
"You know Tyler, I never thought I would end up here, in this place, on the run from our own pack."
I chuckled, "Me neither, but I guess it's just the two of us now."
"Yeah," she said with a small smile, "But at least we have each other."
I took her hand in mine, "I'm grateful for that, Roxanne. I don't think I could have made it this far without you."
We continued walking, lost in our thoughts, before we finally came upon a small cabin. It was isolated and hidden away, the perfect place to start our new life.
Suddenly, Roxanne grabbed my arm, pulling me to a stop. "Tyler, look!" she whispered, pointing towards a small cabin in the distance.
I frowned, "What about it?"
"We can stay there, it's perfect. It's remote, hidden away from the pack. No one will find us there," Roxanne said with a glint of hope in her eyes.
I hesitated, unsure if it was the right decision, but then I nodded. "Okay, let's go. We'll take our chances there."
As we approached the cabin, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Was this the right decision? Were we walking into a trap? But, it was too late to turn back now.
We pushed open the door and stepped inside. The cabin was small, but it was cozy and seemed safe. For the first time in days, I felt a sense of relief wash over me.
But, I knew that it wouldn't last long. Lilith was still out there, and she wouldn't stop until she found us. I just hoped that we could hold on long enough to start a new life, far away from the pack and the horrors of our past.
As we settled into the cabin, we spent our days talking, laughing and enjoying each other's company. We talked about our past, our hopes and our dreams. And as the days passed, I realized that I was falling in love with her.
One evening, as we sat by the fireplace, I mustered up the courage to tell her how I felt.
"Roxanne, I need to tell you something. I-I love you. I know this may not be the ideal situation, but I can't imagine my life without you by my side."
She looked at me, her eyes soft with emotion, before she leaned in and kissed me.
From that moment on, we were inseparable. We started our life anew, together, building a future filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
No matter what the future held, as long as we had each other, we knew that we could face it together.
As we lay in each other's arms that night, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the turn of events that had brought us together. I never would have imagined that I would find love in such dire circumstances, but I was glad that I had.
"Tyler," Roxanne whispered, tracing patterns on my chest with her finger. "Do you ever think about the future? What will our life be like?"
"Of course I do," I replied, kissing the top of her head. "But as long as we have each other, I know that we can face anything. Together, we can build a new life, one filled with happiness and adventure."
She smiled, snuggling closer to me. "I couldn't agree more. I love you, Tyler."
I pulled her closer, cherishing the feeling of her warmth against my body. "I love you too, Roxanne. More than anything in this world."
As we lay there, watching the fire die down, I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. Despite our circumstances, I knew that we had found something special, something worth fighting for.
And I promised to do just that, to fight for us and our love, no matter what the future may hold.
