Chapter 6

Katya heard her governess and Michal conversing in the living room Well, weren't they best buddies now? Maybe Michal would get a room of his own and a place at the table- Luyeva was very generous with the people she liked But Katya knew that she would rather pull out all her lashes and stick a finger in her eye before she sat down to eat breakfast with him

*he saved you, be nice*
She was grateful, wasn't she? Grateful was taking time off making his life unbearable. She would let him do his job in peace. But on a second thought, *where was the fun in that? It was his job to watch after her, after all*

“She should be down shortly. Katya likes sleeping in, I’m sure you know that by now,” she heard her governess voice and she could not resist rolling her eyes. A girl was entitled to her sleep, wasn't she?
“I can wait. I just have to go over some things her father requested,” she heard Michal reply. His business-like tone grated on her nerves. She considered going back to her room and making him wait. But he would wait, that much she knew. So why couldn’t she have some fun instead? Harmless fun- nothing more.

She walked up to them with a polite smile on her face.

“I’m really sorry I overslept,” she gave Michal a sickening sweet smile, “I hope I did not keep you waiting?”

“You didn’t,” he replied.

She looked to her governess. “I want to take a stroll around the grounds. I don’t think Michal has been given a tour yet,” she said.
Her governess saw no problem with it and excused herself to go do other things.

“Shall we?” Katya asked him once they were alone, already walking towards the door.

“So, what do we have on today’s schedule?” she asked him when they were outside.

“You father asked if you needed to get anything. Your governess makes the trip but he was hoping I could do it… and bring you along,” he grounded out the last part.
Bring her along? More time to make his life miserable? Giving a horse a field of grass and a clear stream? Well, well, well…

"Oh. Okay, I’ll go with you. But I need to ask you something in advance. So I know what I want once we get there.”

“Which is?”

“How big are you?” Katya asked.

“What?”

She looked her him, her bottom lip caught between her teeth. Her eyes travelled from his eyes to his lips to where his hands were tucked into his pockets…
“I want to buy one in your size so I can think of you every night before I go to bed.” She watched as his face turned the slightest bit of red. She was a bit taken aback because she did not expect this much of a reaction. Was he, this man, a virgin?

“Uhm…”

“An inflatable doll. Just how big- oh sorry my bad, how tall are you? So I can put you up in my room. For company.” she clarified, trying her best not to laugh.

The color in Michal’s cheeks faded away as he tugged on his collar. Geez, was that all it took for the man to get uncomfortable? Then her work was easy-peasy.
“I’ll wait for you in the car,” he told her and walked away without waiting for a reply.

Katya stood in her room, contemplating. Did she want to let him off easy or make him lose the stuffiness that followed him everywhere? She could start by making him take the tie off.
You are treading dangerous waters, Katya she heard her subconscious say in Luyeva’s voice. But she shrugged it off. She was only having a little bit of fun, not dragging him to her bed. And even if she did drag him to her bed…
She chose a red leather mini skirt, for obvious reasons and a black crop that was more of a bra than anything else. It was cut high from below and cut low from above. She did not have ample bosom like the girls in her class did, but the U-cut did a lot to make up for it. Pink lipstick for subtlety- she wasn’t about to tell him that she was doing it on purpose, and she let her hair down because a boy she once had a crush on said that when he touched it, it made him horny.
Although her crush on him had disappeared that instant, she did not forget his words. And now, she could use them to her advantage. She wore a jacket over the crop top just in case she ran into Luyeva, who would never let her leave looking like that.

“I’m sorry I kept you waiting. It’s been a while since I went to somewhere that wasn’t school and I didn’t know what to wear,” she opened the back door of the car and got in.

“Oh?” the single syllable reply from Michal had her glancing at the rearview mirror. The look in his eyes challenged her statement. Ah yes, he would never let her forget how she threw safety into the wind and went to a shady place, got robbed and he had to save her from what would have been a night in hell.
Thank you Michal. My father was right to hire you.
But she did not reply. Best not to take the bait while he still had the upper hand.

“We should get going. There is like a thousand and one things I need to get and I am not sure we will find them in just one place.”

They stopped at the first clothing store that Katya saw. It wasn’t one that she frequented but she was not in the mood to get anything. She just wanted to get out of the house.

“Can you come in and wait for me? I promise I won’t be long,” she told Michal. Surprisingly, he did not seem to recoil in horror at the idea of waiting for her while she spent the next half-hour shopping. Maybe he wasn’t a virgin after all- maybe she misspoke.
How could a man like him be a virgin anyways? She knew that some women liked cold lovers who kept their emotions aside. It wouldn’t matter when they had sex- like a machine who knew all the steps and procedures to take but would not pull you close after and stroke your hair. Maybe he brought them shopping because the machine had been programmed to engage in the mundane things that women liked, and you really don’t need emotions to wait for someone while they picked out clothes.
What was the blush on his face earlier then? She must have imagined it. Oh God, why was she thinking about how he made love? It was none of her business.

“Katya?” his voice shook her out of her reverie.
“Yeah?” she blinked.
“Yes,” he repeated his earlier reply.
Yes? Oh yeah, to follow her in.
She nodded and walked in, with his on tow.

To her surprise, Katya found clothes that she really liked. Considering she had to go from store to mall and store to mall with Luyeva in tow complaining about how she did not have time to indulge in her whims and she had better things to do back at the house, it was really a surprise.

“Do you have all you need?” Michal asked her.

“Yeah, but I could really use your help. Can you sit outside the changing room for me? I need to know how these outfits look before we leave.”
“Okay.”

The first ensemble she had with her was a body con gown with thigh high boots. The dress was black with vertical lines running through and a slit from the bottom right side held together by what seemed to be shoe-laces knotted all the way to almost her hips.
She loved it.
“Are you ready?”
“Yeah”
She walked out, a smile on her face. “Well, what do you think?”

He nodded. “It looks good on you.”

Good? She wasn’t looking for just good. It had to be better. She walked slowly to where he sat, making sure that his eyes never left hers. When she got to where he was seated, she did a slow turn in front of him- her hands roaming down the dress to smoothen out wrinkles that did not exist. She took one step forward-
“What do you think of the dress? I really want to get it.”
Was that a sharp intake of breath she heard?

“It looks…very good,” Michal said.

Very good, that she could start with. The rest would come later. She walked back into the dressing room and picked the next outfit. If this did not do it, then nothing would.
