CHAPTER 12 (THOUGHTS)
ADAM
The glimpse of the sun touches my skin; I walk into the veranda to feel the heat of the sun. My phone rang and I immediately searched for it.
"Scott," I said as I found my phone, he's the only one I'm waiting to call.
"Adam, I found something," he said in a serious tone.
"It's not right if we talk about this on the phone. We should talk privately. I'll message you the place and the time," I said, and ended the call.
Not that I didn't trust Mirana. But there's something that tells me that she is not Mirana and I want to know that.
She was still sleeping and I got the urge to see her naked back, as if there was a birthmark. I was careful when walking so she wouldn't wake up.
I nearly looked at her face, and she was fast asleep. I slowly rolled up her blouse she was wearing to take a better look when she woke up.
She stared at me meticulously and my forehead started to sweat.
"W-what are you doing?" she asked, pulling the sheets and sit.
"I w-was just g-gonna leave you a love bite," I scratched my neck, indicating my shyness.
She didn't seem convinced of my answer, but he just smiled at me.
"You're dressed," she said, staring at my head to feet.
"Yes, I'm going to a friend. Sorry to wake you up sweetheart," I apologized.
"Why didn't you tell me or just wake me up to prepare you breakfast," she stated as she held my hand.
The way she holds my hand, it feels different. I love the way she holds my hand. Her hands were small like they were easy to break. She's fragile and I am so crazy about her.
"You're a tired sweetheart," I answered as I kissed her lips.
"Adam," she blushed.
I again kiss her lips and it looks like a strawberry.
"Adam enough already," she mumbled.
"I can't," I said as I stared at her lustfully.
"And why?"
"You're so addictive," I stated firmly as I slammed her on the mattress and kissed her hard. She moaned and grabbed my hair.
"A-adam y-your friend i-is-waiting," she said, catching her breath.
"He can wait," I said as I sucked her lower lip.
He pushes me to cause me to look at her surprisingly.
"Don't be silly Adam, just go to your friend and call me when you're going home already and I'll prepare dinner and, of course, myself," she purred, causing me to smirk.
"Naughty brain, you have my woman," I winked as I tucked her hair in her ear.
She shoved me to go and I gave in. I kissed her again before saying goodbye.
"I'll look forward to it my woman!" I shouted as I was already near the door.
She looks at me from the stairs and laughs.
"Go now before I change my mind," she shouted back, making me laugh heartily.
I got my keys for my car and headed out as I was driving. When he and I were going to meet, I pulled out my phone and dialed his number.
In just a third ring, it was immediately answered no doubt that he is an agent not wanting to wait for his caller on the phone.
"I'm here," he spoke up.
"You're always early," I laughed, causing him to chuckle.
"Yes I am and I am not surprised that you are not here yet," he mockingly answered.
"I'm already there in 5 minutes," I answered as I took the right way headed to our meeting place. I ended the call as soon as I saw a parking space.
I found him standing while crossing his arms. I tapped his shoulder, causing him to jump and I chuckled at his reaction.
"Hmmm, too much coffee?" I asked.
He didn't reply, instead he gestured to me to take a seat and have a coffee. His expression was serious and I doubt that this information would be so important.
"What did you find?" I asked, looking him straight in his eyes.
"Before she landed here, she was with a woman who may be in her late '40s and her name is Emilia Brooks," he stated.
"Mirana doesn't mention anything to me."
We stood in silence because we were thinking deeply about this information.
Why didn't Mirana tell me about this? Or maybe I don't have to know that.
"That's all the information I got," he said, placing his fountain pen in his suit.
"For now," he muttered.
"Thank you for telling me, maybe it will not be answered for now," I said, and I fixed myself.
"No problem. Okay, so, I have a 3 pm client so I'd be better early so I can check my things," he stands ready to leave.
We said goodbye and headed to our car. Despite this, I can't help myself to think who this Emilia would be. And what was she in the life of Mirana? If I tell this thing to Mirana I think she will not give me what answer I want. I'd better find the answer. I know it's away.
My phone beeps informing me that I have a new message. I looked at the sender and it was Keiro.
"Hey man, mind hanging-out? Call me up."
"Hello," I said as he answered the call.
"You call immediately. Miss me?" he chuckled in the other line.
"Idiot, so your back? What happened in your company?" I asked.
"I'm here at my house, we'll talk here c'mon," he ended the call.
"That idiot," I muttered in the thin air, causing me to smile at his foolishness.
CAVALLARI SUBDIVISION
As I was at their gate, I saw an old maid waiting outside.
"Manang Yesha, it's you. Is Keiro inside?" I smiled at her.
"Yes, he has been waiting for you. Come in," she kindly answered and gestured to me to enter.
"She is in the garden, just go and let me prepare something to eat," she offered.
"Thank you Manang."
"Go ahead and perhaps he's already annoyed waiting for you," she laughed.
I walked into the garden, seeing Keiro peacefully sitting in the wooden chair while drinking pineapple juice.
"Hey," I greeted him as I was near him.
"What took you so long?" he said, taking his glasses off.
I comfortably took a seat when I saw Manang Yesha walk in our direction with a tray in her hands.
"Take your snacks," she warmly said.
"Thank you manang," I and Keiro answered in unison, causing her to laugh.
"All right, I'll be in the kitchen first. Just call me if you need anything, okay?
"Let's hang out," Keiro offered while eating his cake.
"Hang out? Aren't you married to Dora?"
"Dora?" he laughed harder.
"Dude, do you know the last name of Dora?" Keiro asked out of the blue. I shrug while munching the cookies that Manang bakes.
"Is Dora supposed to have a surname? It looks like she doesn't have a surname," I asked in confusion.
"She has," he actively answered.
"What?" I eagerly asked, wanting to know what it was.
"Dora Aunor!"
We stood in silence, we could only hear the wind and the rustle of the leaves.
"Seriously?" I asked in a mocking voice.
"You're shaming yourself, many women will go off to you," I chuckled as I looked at his face.
"How can you make sure that no one laughs when they hear my jokes that call for a sense of humor, unlike you. In situations like mine, hot guys, we have a sense of humor," he proudly said.
"It's not Aunor," I answered him. I couldn't believe I would be writing his jokes.
His face lightened up on what I had said, interested in what I would say.
"It's Moon," I said expressionlessly, puzzling him.
"Moon?" he asked.
I just ate the left cake on my plate till suddenly he laughed hard and it was obvious that he was just faking it causing me to outbalance myself.
"Seriously? DoraMOON?" he chuckled.
"Dude you're so corny," he pats my shoulder, showing his pitiful expression.
"So are you, dude," I said as I pat his shoulder.
"Serious now, you know what?" Keiro asked.
"What?"
" We're talking nonsense," he laughs.
"You started it," I mocked.
"What! Me? You brought this Dora up," he spat as he stood up, arguing with me.
"Yeah, yeah sure," I said as I picked up my phone, I needed to message Mirana.
"Sweetheart, I'll be late in a minute. I'm here now at Keiro's house but I'll be coming home already, so wait for me, okay? Love you so much, see you."
Just as I was sending it, I saw Keiro reading the message, so I punched him.
"Man, why so harsh!"
"It's private," I said as I lifted my phone.
"Ohhh, okay dude. I love you so much, see you," he said in a chipmunk voice.
"If I, Mirana, I would reply, I love you so much, sweetheart, can't wait to see you tonight," he said, acting like a slut girl.
"If you were my husband? Every day, maybe I would ask myself why I had a relationship with you? Are you serious?" I shouted at him mockingly.
We laughed at our nonsense conversation, it'd been a long time that we hadn't bonded like this.
"So I heard from Scott that you're suspecting Mirana. Is that true?" he seriously asked, looking at me.
"No, well it's not that I'm suspecting her, but there's this thing running in my mind that she's not Mirana. I know it is crazy but she's different from the Mirana I used to know," I answered him.
"Don't jump over Adam, don't lose her again. I've witnessed all of your pain and your miserable life without her, so please don't jump over," he seriously said as he patted my shoulder.
I nodded at his statement.
♪I just like the way you are♪
"Hello?" Keiro immediately answered his call, signaling me to "wait, I have to answer this phone call" and I just nodded.
"Okay, I'll be there," he deeply sighs.
"What's that?" I asked as I saw him rub his forehead.
"There's someone who wants to meet me," he muttered.
"Ohhh, don't tell you that's one of your women," I jokingly said.
He just rolled his eyes and smirked.
"I guess our bond will end up soon," he said as he fixed himself.
"Yeah, I guess so. Goodbye man, Mirana's waiting for me," I said as I stood up.
We bid goodbye to Manang Yesha, thanks for the sweets she had served for us.
Just as I was in my car, someone flashed and made me blink. I looked at the surroundings and found nothing but a black Bugatti Veyron parked. I ignored it and just got in my car. I was near the highway when I was seated in the side mirror, a man in black with a mirror and looking at me as if to leave.
