CHAPTER 40 (The Forever)

5 years later

MARINA

As Helios fumbled around for his shoes, I whispered to him, "Hold on, let me just comb your hair first," and then I proceeded to do so.

"I'm sorry, Mom, but I'm no longer a baby. I can do it myself, "he answered with a gleaming grin over his teeth.

I said, "Okay then," and handed him the comb. He leaned down and planted a quick kiss on my cheek before walking away to check his appearance in the mirror.

"Where are my two tiny twin infants at this very moment?" I yelled, despite the fact that I was aware that they were only hiding behind my back. When I heard them laughing, I turned around to face them.

While I was mending their clothes, I said, "Oh, there you are!"

Sky winked at Ice as they both smiled at me and said, "Mom, it takes a long, long time until you will look good, like us." Ice and Sky both smirked at me.


They were so similar to one another that it was almost as if they were the same person. They had the same mannerisms, the same manner of speech, the same facial expressions, and the same actions.



Even if Adam is the owner of their eyes and nose, it seems like our facial features are bound together. Helios has already reached the age of seven, and he is quickly maturing into a young man right now. When I looked at him, it made me grin to see how he had styled his hair. Even though his hair was a mess, he managed to appear quite gorgeous. They are identical in every way.



I couldn't have asked for anything else that would have been more suitable. At this point in my life, the fact that they are a part of it brings me inexpressible delight.



Helios encouraged me, his mother, to hasten our departure and get out of there before it was too late, and I nodded in assent to his request.



"Adam! Already! Let's get underway. Our kids are so impatient, "I was only joking, but Adam quickly laughed and rushed down the stairs after I sobbed.



"What took you so long?"



"It takes a long long time to look this nice," he remarked while winking at me and planting a kiss on my lips. "It takes a long long time to look this good."



My twins always say in unison, "See mom."



I have nothing more to ask, being with them is such a blessing already for me that I will treasure it until my last breath. To think that only a few years ago, since I was a kid, my fondness for Adam was as good as I thought it was. And to think that so many adventures came into our two Adams' lives and we almost lost hope that we were still for each other, we all endured because of the love we felt.







NARRATOR'S POV

Although it is common knowledge that not all marriages are successful, there is little doubt that Marina and Adam have a more stable partnership. Just hang in there, and regardless of the time of year or the weather, there will eventually be a break in the clouds and a rainbow will appear. We all have hope, whether it be in love or in something else. Let's just trust, have faith.



Even though it was only a dream, all that Marina had hoped for in her love for Adam turned out to be true, and even more was bestowed upon her. Believe in them and there is still a chance they will come true. There are some people in the world who are in a worse position today, while there are others who choose to terminate their life rather than put up a battle. Some people try everything, but in the end, nothing works out for them because perhaps it is not the appropriate moment or it is not God's plan. Let us all simply wait it out and see what kind of miracle and gift is coming our way in the meantime. It's possible that we can't see or feel it. Let us trust Him.



Helios was married to a doting woman, and the couple welcomed two children into the world: a son named Alexander and a daughter named Alexandra.



And Sky and Ice did all it took to make their dreams come true. Sky had become an accomplished painter and artist by this point, while Ice aspired to follow in Marina's footsteps and become a chef. You can't stop either of them from achieving their goals, but at the same time, you can't stop women from pursuing them.



When Adam and Marina reached their twilight years, they were both still going strong despite having reached the age of 85. Even though they were much older now, Adam continued to play a cruel joke on Marina by delivering her flowers every day. They never leave the apartment without first going out onto the balcony and staring out at the night sky, where Adam always serenades Marina with a song.





"Adam, I cannot express how grateful I am that you are a part of my life. I love you, "As Adam and Marina gazed up at the night sky together, Marina spoke to Adam.







"I want to express my gratitude for being the love of my life. When you said "yes" and "I do," God gave me you, and since then, I have not been able to ask for anything better. I love you most Marina, "In addition to kissing me, Adam gave my hand a gentle squeeze.
