19. Go Out With Me
"Eden, I-mmmph," Marley was once again cut off as Eden smashed his lips on hers. She placed her hands on his shoulder to push him away but her efforts were in vain as Eden only took it as a sign to continue more intensely. He placed his one hand on the back of her head- ceasing her chances to escape- while his other one firmly held her waist.
His mouth worked passionately against hers, his tongue letting no part of her mouth remain untouched. Once again, unconsciously, Marley melted into his alluring lips and kissed him back. Her fingers gripped his shoulders and pulled him toward herself, making Eden growl in pleasure.
For past half-hour, they both had been lounging on a couch in Marley's living room, reveling in each others presence. When Eden had dropped Marley off, he invited himself into her house. Five minutes later, Marley had found herself pushed against her couch with a lusting Eden hovering above her.
Finally, Eden pulled away allowing both of them to breathe. He let go of her head and held her waist with both hands.
"God! You taste so good. How did I survive this long without you?" Eden mumbled, his intense gaze at Marley.
His lust filled eyes forced Marley to bury her face into his shoulder to hide her heated cheeks.
"Stop staring like that." Her voice came muffled.
"Or what?" He mused.
"I-I don't know."
He chuckled, placing his palm on her back and rubbing it in a soothing motion. "You are so cute."
"I am not cute!"
"Yes, you are."
"Shut up!" She sighed defeated.
Eden laughed and his laugh sounded like a beautiful melody to Marley's ears. She still couldn't believe that Eden apologized to Jason just for her and moreover, without getting into another fist fight. But then again he wasn't really humble about that and kept ranting of his great deed throughout their car ride from school.
It baffled Marley how in such a short period of time her feelings blossomed for him. His teasings and indecent remarks now didn't seem so bad, although it still made her flustered. All the stolen kisses sent butterflies bubbling down into her stomach, making her feel fuzzy. Marley never dated before and had no experience to compare these new symptoms with but she also knew she wouldn't feel the same way with anyone else but him. She was getting more and more trapped into his bewitching charm but she wanted to.
"Eden-" Marley pulled away her face from his warm shoulders and looked into his eyes which were already staring into hers. "I was talking to Rachel and she asked me if..." She trailed off. Her face turned red, thinking what she was about to do. She didn't know that it was going to be this difficult but then again everything with Eden was difficult.
"If." He mimicked, smiling at her adorable red face.
"If... we ever went out. So, I guess I am asking will you go out with me?" She finished hastily.
"Huh?"
"Will you go out with me?" She repeated slowly and her eyes immediately found her palms lying on her lap. She waited for a whole minute and when no reply was heard, she gingerly took a glance at Eden.
Werewolf was just gaping at her with a parted mouth. He was on cloud nine but also a slightly disappointed with himself for not asking her out before. Eden had always wondered about taking Marley on a date but squashed the idea in the fear of rejection and throwing her over his shoulder against her will to go for a nice outing didn't seem that romantic. So, he wanted to give her time. Sure, he kissed her and all as he knew Marley wouldn't be able to resist it because of the bond, but she was still capable to say 'no' for a date.
"It's okay if you say no." Marley said, embarrassed. She became nervous when no reply came from him.
These words were enough to bring Eden out of his high. "Hell yes! I'll go out with you. Man! You are something. Aren't you?" He thought for a moment and then playfully narrowed his eyes at her. "Wait, are you asking me out because of Rachel?" The truth was he couldn't care less but making Marley stutter in nervousness gave him some sort of sadistic pleasure.
"I-I" Marley stammered because in reality Rachel and she never had any talk about their date but for some unfathomable reason she mentioned her. "Not really," she mumbled softly, hoping Eden didn't hear her but of course he heard it.
Eden shook his head and grinned. "So, where are you taking me? It better be some fancy restaurant and you'll be paying the bill." He joked.
"Stop before I regret it." Marley groaned.
"Stop being so cute!" Eden mocked.
"For the last time Eden, I am not cute."
"Fine, you are hot." Eden smirked, seeing Marley flushed. She was so cute and all his. He ran his knuckles softly on her soft red cheeks, treasuring the simple touch. "So, where are you taking me?" He grinned.
Marley looked at his excited face with a wide grin plastered on it. She couldn't help but smile. He was breathtaking. "It's a surprise." She smiled even though she herself had no idea where she was going to take him.
Eden let go of his self-restraint and once again connected their lips, ravishing every inch of hers.
************
The Friday night came too soon and Marley was fidgeting with nervousness. She was taking Eden out on a date. *When did that happen?!*
She looked in the mirror and saw a curvy girl staring back at her in a floating knee-length navy blue dress. It fitted her on all the perfect places, enhancing her curves. The features of her face were more vibrant. She didn't know a light make up could do this much wonder.
"You look so beautiful." Kiara said, coming up to her. She stuck Marley's strayed hair behind her ears and looked at her admiringly. "You are my masterpiece, Marley. Damn! I am so good."
Marley smiled. "Thank you so much, Kiara. You are amazing."
When Marley had told her friends about her date with Eden, Rachel and Kiara took it upon themselves to get her prepared for her very first date. Besides school, her last two days were spent at mall, salon and hunting down all the perfect spot for dates. She really wanted to make this day special for Eden and her.
Marley's nerve went raging at the thought of Eden not liking her plans. She shook her head at her unwarranted doubts. He was going to like it. She reassured herself.
A low flirty whistle brought Marley back to reality. She turned around and saw Rachel leaning against the doorway. "If Eden doesn't pounce on you tonight then I must give him a thousand points for self-control." She smirked.
Marley internally gave Eden negative 10 points for self-control.
Kiara rolled her eyes at Rachel but then gave a wicked smile. "We should've booked a hotel too for you guys."
Marley groaned and tried to keep cool but her pink cheeks betrayed. "We are not going to do anything like that. It's just a simple date."
"If that's what you say." They both chirped together teasing her. Marley only glared at them, making both burst out in laughter. She huffed and plopped down on her bed.
"I never thought that Eden will let you take him out on a date. No offense but the guy's ego is bigger than America. Doesn't that hurt his manliness and all." Rachel voiced her thoughts.
Kiara once again rolled her eyes. "Rach, it's the 21st century. We are not in medieval times."
"Yeah but from what I gathered he come off as a really dominating man. You know Marley, in reality, I was scared for you because dominant guys are controlling, like massive controlling and Eden seemed like that." Rachel shook her head and grinned. "Nevermind, he's so cool. You guys look so cute together."
Marley thought over Rachel's word. Eden was a dominating man since he was the alpha of one of the America's largest pack but he could never control her, but tried to with whole Jason incident and failed. After spending time with him for a month, Marley concluded two main things about his personality: 1. He was over-possessive. He couldn't even tolerate any other guy going after her and sometimes it was overbearing. But she excused this flaw owing to him being a territorial wolf. 2. If he wanted to grope Marley, not even Satan could stop him from doing so. It was also sometimes (most of the times) overwhelming.
But somehow they didn't seem like flaws to her, instead she, unknowingly, came to cherish his loud, boisterous and possessive personality. *She was going insane.*
The sound of a car pulling into a street broke Marley out of her thoughts. Her heartbeat sped up a little.
Rachel immediately rushed to the window and giggled. "Your date is here Marley!"
Few seconds later, the doorbell rang.
