42. Passionate Nights
After spending a couple of days with their daughter, Steve and Christine had headed back to their hometown last night. Marley really enjoyed those days, and cherished the time spent with them, even though they both kept her nagging with the questions about Eden. After Going through the traumatizing ordeal that involved the lycans and the knights, she craved her parents' affection and the homely feeling that came from being with her family.
Steve and Christine, after inspecting each and every corner, had agreed for Marley's move in to the pack house, or as they assumed 'the hostel facility for teens'. However, a few emergency calls from their firms had cut their time short with Marley. Christine, in particular, was annoyed as she didn't get to help her daughter with her moving. But after few reassurances from Martha and Catherine, she calmed down.
Before leaving, Christine and Steve had helped their daughter in packing most of the stuff. Remaining was done by Marley herself in the morning.
Now, only one thing was left to do: **Knocking some sense into the boy who was driving her mad with his absurd acts!**
"*Vincent couldn't hold it anymore when the naughty temptress was seducing him in more than a million ways.*" Eden recited the words from the book in his hands. His tone turning sultry to taunt Marley. "*His desire burned like a fire as he saw Lyla licking her lips, an invitation for him to let go of all sanity. He-*"
"Eden!" Marley roared. "Stop!" Once again, she made a futile attempt to catch the annoying werewolf, but he sidestepped easily dodging her and jumped to the other corner of the small room.
Marley cursed his supernatural speed.
"*He wanted her. Right now*." Eden continued, and added an exaggerated moan to tease his mate. "*Finally, Vincent threw all caution out of the window and latched onto Lyla hungrily. His lips claimed hers, their tongues more tangled than a knot. Lyla's hand traced his bulging arms, prompting him in return to grope her ass.*"
Eden lowered the book slightly to look at the red-faced Marley. "Ooh, that's hot. Some heavy stuff that you're reading. Huh?" He commented.
"You jerk! Give it back to me!"
"The good part is just starting Marley." Eden laughed before fixing his eyes back on Marley's book. "Where was I? Yes, here. *She gasped when Vincent's big, erect bulge pressed against her own needy pussy. They...*" Eden went on, riling his mate with every word.
Marley could only glare at the rowdy boy, because her previous efforts to stop him had resulted in tired heaving from all the chasing around. She regretted the moment when she had let Eden come to her house and help her with the packing. He did everything but help!
"*Lyla wasted no time in unbuckling the belt and pulling down his jeans. She was starving too. Her palms cupped the throbbing erection of her lover.*" Eden wheezed, immensely enjoying teasing Marley. "*Vincent moaned, his hand kneading her plump breast, meanwhile the other one spanked her ass.*"
He looked up from the printed letters, and saw a fuming face of his human. He pictured her as an angry kitten. One adorable kitten. Even if she could turn into a dangerous lioness, for him she'd always be a harmless kitten.
Eden's eyes unconsciously slid down to Marley's breasts, a grey sweatshirt was covering them. It was heaving up and down because of her heavy breaths. The sight was quite arousing. He couldn't help but wonder what it'd be like to treat them just as Vincent was treating those of Lyla's.
*Don't stare*, his inner conscience warned. But the devil inside him rationalized that if anyone who had the right to stare at her round fleshy chest, it was him.
Obviously, Eden listened to the devil.
His brows knitted in confusion when her breasts started to become bigger. It took him a few seconds to realize that his area of interest wasn't getting any bigger, but Marley was stomping toward him. He was about to bolt but it was too late. She was already standing right in front of him, blocking his chance of escape.
"Give it back!" Marley glared at Eden.
She lifted her hand to snatch the book from him, but this time Eden had seen it coming. He raised his hand high with which he was holding the book, keeping Marley's treasure out of her reach.
Eden laughed. He loved playing with her. "You cannot beat my speedy reflexes- Oww!"
Marley elbowed Eden hard on his waist, making him drop the book. She immediately grabbed her novel, and pressed it against her chest. She watched as her mate clutched his waist, and groaned in pain. But she didn't allow herself to feel guilty. He so deserved it!
"You're not a harmless kitten." Eden concluded under his breath, rubbing his stomach. He winced when it stung.
"What?"
"Nothing."
"It was a mistake letting you in." Marley huffed, and walked back to her bed where a carton filled with her books, and two other bags were kept.
"Oh c'mon, it was a good book. You should share good things with your boyfriend." Eden leaned against the wall, watching Marley's back as she shoved her book into the box and started fixing things inside her bags.
"A big box full of books. You're such a nerd," Eden commented light-heartedly.
"And you're such a jerk!" Marley fired back, her back still facing him.
Once again without any knowledge, Eden's eyes lowered themselves and dropped on Marley's bottom. He had to wonder for a second why he was feeling extra horny today. *Must be the book.*
His mate looked so enticing in those navy blue pyjamas. The werewolf tried his hardest to not look, but it was difficult given that she was almost swaying her butt right at his face. Ooh, the things he could do to that perky butt. Only the thought was enough to arouse him.
Marley, who was oblivious to the wolf's inner turmoil, accidentally dropped her comb. She bent down to pick it up, enhancing Eden's view. The latter gulped, hardly keeping his animalistic instincts at bay and not jump at his mate right then and there.
*Have some shame!* His conscience interrupted again, but the devil was ready and threw back, *she's yours.*
The devil won.
Besides, Eden was totally blaming Marley's book 'Passionate Nights' for adding fuel to his already corrupted mind.
"Stop standing there and be useful." Marley turned around, breaking Eden out of the sensual trance. His eyes immediately darted to her face.
"Huh?"
"Come here." She ordered, before spinning back to her things.
Eden very painfully restricted himself from letting his view slide down again and followed as his mate commanded.
"Look at you, we haven't even started living together and you're already ordering me around." He joked, but beginning some conversation with Marley was also his way to distract his mind of other things.
"You're the one who showed up at my doorstep 'wanting to help me'," Marley replied, "and also we're not going to live together. I'll be staying in the pack house, and you'll continue to live at your home."
Eden smiled lovingly, looking down at her. "You're so cute to think that way."
Marley frowned. "I'm going to hit you again."
"Aren't you getting violent?" He chuckled, and plopped down on the side of the bed. "Where are those days when you were scared of me?" He smirked, watching her face changing expressions.
"I was never scared of you."
"Really? If I remember correctly after I told you that I can change into a gorgeous wolf and you're my mate, you always looked at me like I was going to eat you alive. You feared me." He taunted.
"Well, your way of revealing things wasn't very nice. Who picks someone right off the street and drive them to the forest just to say 'I'm a werewolf'?"
"And also show. I showed you I'm a werewolf," Eden added. "You know, I had this whole thing planned: ask you out, take you on a date, get to know you, spend some weeks together, and then drop the bomb. But you didn't agree for the date. So..." He shrugged, when Marley turned to glare at him. Eden really wanted to do that, but his wolf instincts couldn't keep up with his mate's constant rejections.
"That is some lame explanation." She shook her head. "I said 'no' because I didn't like that you and your friends used to beat around people in school."
Eden groaned. "Didn't I tell you what it actually was?"
"Yeah, I know." Marley mumbled, and returning her focus to arranging things.
During the whole ordeal with Jason, Marley had once accused Eden of bullying. The false accusation had jerked him badly, making him explain his side of story.
Eden and his friends were always kind of feared by others because of their dominating aura, which came from their supernatural side. But beating other students for no reason wasn't their thing. It was usually Oliver and Callum who were the most aggressive ones, but there was a explanation, or more like excuse, for it.
They only hit those who made some very insulating homophobic remarks towards Oliver. Usually Oliver tried to ignored them, but if someone targeted Sanjay, it was enough for him to lose his cool. Callum joined his friend in beating offenders because... well, he was Callum.
Sanjay for a time being had remained ignorant about it, thinking of Oliver same as Marley did of Eden. But once he had learned about the whole situation, he sat all those wolves down and gave a long speech about bullying and non-violence, and also educated them about the process of reporting offenders to the school authorities. It did have some effect on them, especially Oliver.
"Pick up the bags." Marley instructed Eden, lifting her carton of books.
"I think I should carry your books," he said, seeing his mate struggling with the big box. It looked way heavier than the two air bags combined.
"You're not coming anywhere near my books." She huffed, and after a few seconds of stumbling she finally managed to hold her dear books steadily. Before Eden could protest further, she was already out of the door and going down the stairs.
Eden, sighing in defeat, carried the bags and followed her out.

After saying goodbye to Mrs. Sherman and promising her to visit from time to time, Marley and Eden drove to their territory. And it was a long ride for Marley, as Eden couldn't keep his mouth shut, teasing her with his ludicrous remarks. However, if truth be told, a giddiness was also whirling inside her at the thought of almost living with her boyfriend. She was just as excited as Eden.
When the car stopped in front of the pack house, Marley saw Nicholas and Catherine already waiting outside for them.
"I sent him to bring you." Nicholas came to the couple who were getting out of the car. "He didn't trouble you. Did he?" He asked Marley, looking at his son.
Eden glared at his dad, like a kid reprimanded for something he didn't do.
"As always, he did," Marley replied with a small chuckle, and began taking out her stuff from the backseat of the car.
"Honey, what are you doing?" Catherine frowned when she saw Marley trying to drag out a heavy box. "Eden will take care of that. It's too big for you."
"I am not allowed to touch it." Eden shrugged, and chose to carry the bags.
"I don't even want to know why." Catherine sighed at her son before turning back to Marley. "Give it to me." She picked up the box effortlessly, ignoring the teen girl's objections. "Don't worry Marley, I'm not going to open it. I'll just carry it to your room."
Marley gave a hesitant nod, even though on the inside she didn't like Mrs. Brown carrying her load. It wasn't just about someone helping her, it was more than that. After being part of the pack for months, she noted that all the werewolves, whenever around, treated her with some sort of special care, not letting her do regular chores that required even the slightest of physical strength. They considered her weak.
Marley knew that her pack hadn't had humans for a long time, and right now she and Sanjay were the only ones. She couldn't really blame the werewolves -who naturally were a lot more physically stronger than their human counterparts- for considering her weak. It was the way things were. But sometimes it got tiring to always be treated as a fragile doll.
"What did you put in them?" Eden grumbled, looking at the bags in his hands. "They're heavy. You should carry your own load." He tossed one of them to his mate, who caught it at the right instant. He walked on, leaving behind a small smile on Marley's lips.
Nicholas watched the whole thing play out in amusement. He still found it fascinating that how the nature worked in strange ways. It was not only capable to put two polar opposites together, but also give them the ability to understand each other like no one else could.
After walking up a flight of stairs, they all reached Marley's new room. Even though the human had already seen her new crib when she visited with her parents, a small gasp left her mouth as she entered through the door. It looked a lot different than the last time. The queen size bed, a study table and chair, two bean bags, a white chest of drawers, bookshelf and a lot of decorations like bedside lamps, sculptures, an acrylic rug on the shiny wooden floor gave the room a whole new charm.
"Do you like it?" Catherine asked, depositing the box at one corner of the room. She looked expectently at Marley.
"It's beautiful," Marley answered, "but you didn't have to do this all. It must've cost you a fortune."
Catherine smiled. "Honey, it didn't cost us any fortune. And your parents will be paying us 'the rent' for your stay even though we asked them not to. This is the least we can do."
"My parents never in their lifetime can pay for all this," Marley whispered as her eyes scanned the whole room. Everything looked so posh and expensive.
Eden's mother gave her a disapproving look. "You shouldn't care about all that. Marley, when I said you're basically my daughter, I meant it. Plus, anyone who can put a leash on my hot-headed son deserves the whole world."
Eden rolled his eyes. "You were doing so good mom, but in the end you have to drag me into it. Didn't you?"
Before Catherine could reply a young teenager showed up at the threshold of the room.
"Alpha, I am-" He began but Eden cut him off immediately, gesturing him to move outside to the hallway. The boy did as his Alpha commanded, and Eden walked out too, making sure to close the door behind him.
"Alpha, here are the keys of the room." The teenager handed Eden a pair of keys. "We've cleared it. It's ready for you."
"Thanks Seb." Eden patted the boy's shoulder. "I hope you and Jackson didn't mind moving."
"We really didn't mind. Our new room is so much bigger." Seb gave a funny boyish grin, making his Alpha let out a small laugh.
"Good. But don't enjoy too much," Eden said playfully. The boy nodded before running back to where he came from.
Alpha smiled to himself as his eyes fell on the door of the room right next to Marley's. It was going to be his new habitat, closer to his mate. And taking them one step forward to creating their own *passionate nights*.
