My eyes widened with annoyance when I saw that null gleam in Katherine's grey eyes, why was she looking at Derek like that, I couldn't help but clench my fists and throat clearing.

I knew Derek was cute, and knowing my sister, she seemed to have noticed it too.

"Nice to meet you, miss" He said, winking at Katherine.

Fuck, I felt my heart was racing with anger. But before I could say anything, she spoke.

At that moment Violet and Marcus walked towards us, and my gaze focused on them. I didn't know what those bastards were doing at the meeting, but I couldn't make a fuss at that moment.

"Katlyn" Marcus murmured softly.

I heard his voice and felt a surge of anger run through my veins.

"Marcus, Violet, I didn't expect to see you together again, in my family's house" I muttered coldly.

Violet rolled her eyes as she grabbed Marcus's arm and smirked.

"Katlyn, I hope you don't mind, I invited them. They're my friends" Katherine said with a pout on her lips.

"Well, I guess it's going to be a nice evening. I thought I'd never see that girl again, but the world seems to have other plans, doesn't it?" I said pointing at Violet with my eyes.
She didn't even dare to answer, but looked down and frowned silently.

That girl never dared to talk to me after everything that happened. It was obvious that she didn't feel remorseful, which made my hatred increase with each passing day.

"Katlyn... we can talk" I heard Marcus' voice, who dared to take my hand while looking at me with regretful deer eyes.

When I felt his skin collide in my hand, I immediately pushed him away with a shout "Don't ever touch me again!"

Marcus opened his eyes in surprise at my scream as he begged me to hear him.

If I had only known that Violet and Marcus were at dinner, I would never have come to this damn place.

"Please, I need to explain things to you. Give me my chance to tell you what really happened," Marcus said, pulling Violet away from his hand.
Marcus tried to grab my hand again, but at that moment my eyes froze as a strong hand struck Marcus in the face, knocking him to the ground.

"Keep away from my wife!" growled Derek angrily as he bent down and grabbed Marcus by the neck and pulled him up hard.

Marcus spat out a mouthful of blood as he raised his hand to strike back, but his effort was futile as Derek punched him in the face again.

"What the fuck is wrong with you? I want to talk to Katlyn!" Marcus shouted, breaking out of Derek's grip before punching him in the face.

Derek's eyes turned dark and his dangerous aura was surfacing. At that moment, I snapped out of my trance and ran towards both men.

"Enough of this shit! stop it now!" I shouted before looking at Marcus, "I don't want to talk to you, how many times do I have to say it? there's nothing to resolve, I'm married now, and this man is a fucking alpha!" I exclaimed.

"I don't care who the hell he is! I'm willing to die for you, so if I need to take a thousand blows, I will, but please, I want you to listen to me" Marcus said as he knelt down in front of me with his bloody lips "Katlyn, I want you to come back to me, please"
I stood there staring at him, I didn't expect this man to say those words, but before I could say anything, Violet's voice was heard.

"God Marcus, you shouldn't beg that woman. Look at her, she doesn't even care about you" She hinted.

When I heard her, my attention went to her lost eyes, as I tightened my stitches "Dare you speak? you know what? I wish I could kill you right now. I still can't forget what you two did to me, you humiliated me in the worst way!" I hinted in frustration.

My eyes reddened, as I felt a pang of pain in my heart. I didn't know why, but I still had feelings for Marcus, and that made me feel completely devastated and worthless.

Violet had betrayed my trust, while Marcus had taken advantage of my innocence by sleeping with my best friend. They were both in my mind like the bastards they are.

"Come on, Katlyn, stop it" Katherine said, taking my hand.

I looked at her and instantly pulled my hand away from her and frowned, "I can't tell you how much I regret coming here," I said before turning and walking towards the entrance of the house.

I could scream at Marcus and Katherine all night long but I just shook my head and continued on my way.

At first I walked towards the house, but at the thought of seeing my parents, my heart fluttered and I turned towards the garden. I didn't know where my legs were taking me, but I didn't want to be near either of them.

"Shit!" I shouted to myself as I kicked the ground.

Fuck, I was so furious, I should never have come to this place. I should never have fallen in love with Marcus, and most of all, I should never have married that arrogant Derek.

I wanted to stay away from Marcus and Derek. They were both causing me a huge headache. So I walked as far as I could until I stopped in front of a bench and banged on the table next to it.

The booming sound of the blow reached the ears of a couple of men gathered there who seemed to be a little drunk.

At that, I opened my eyes and got up from the bathroom to sneak out of there, but, at that moment 4 of the men approached me with a cynical smile on their faces.

I swallowed dryly as I looked at them out of the corner of my eye. I sighed and kept walking, but just as I was about to turn one of the corners, I saw 3 men come out from behind the big wall and walk towards me.
