Derek leaned in and was about to press my chest against his, when suddenly I heard the door to the room burst open.




"Alpha!" Garvin's voice rang out.




At that moment my eyes opened wide as my cheeks flushed.




"Fuck!" I said to myself.




"Oh shit... alpha... I'm sorry..." Garvin said, lowering his eyes in shame.
"Garvin! I'll kill you!" Derek shouted, turning towards his beta.




I immediately buried my face in Derek's chest, as I tried to cover my nakedness from Garvin.




"A thousand apologies my alpha..." Garvin uttered again with a trembling tone. He bowed his head and sighed.




Derek on the other hand took the towel quickly and covered my naked body. I couldn't believe Garvin saw me naked. I wanted to run away, but I was weak from the previous night's drinks.




"What the hell do you want, Garvin? don't you have a fucking hand to knock on the door first?" Derek growled in annoyance.


Garvin looks down, avoiding Derek's angry eyes. It was obvious that he was scared "Sorry my alpha... I was just informing you that everything is ready, your car is waiting for you" Garvin said nodding.




"What? where are you going?" I asked, seeing Garvin's nervous expression.




"Where are we going? It's the day where you will meet the world. Remember, you are my wife" He said with a playful smile on his face.




"I'm your surrogate wife" I emphasized, making Derek let out a deep sigh.




"Whatever, I'll wait for you downstairs with your friends. You have 10 minutes Katlyn" He muttered walking towards the door.




As soon as I was alone, I let out a deep sigh and looked at myself in the mirror. My cheeks were completely red, and my lips were swollen.




I just opened my wardrobe and looked for some comfortable clothes. After all, I didn't know where Derek would take me.





When I was finally ready, I quickly left the room. In fact, I was afraid that my friends would talk to Derek and tell him everything that had happened. After all, I didn't even remember if I had mentioned anything about him.




I walked down the stairs, feeling my heart pumping inside my chest. Hopefully my friends wouldn't remember what I had told Riley.




As soon as I got to the living room, I saw my friends sitting on the couch turning to look at me.

/ Fuck, Katlyn, you scared the shit out of us. How are you feeling? Do you have a headache?/




/Yeah, you slept for a long time,/ Mandy added.




I hadn't even looked at the clock, but judging by the sun, it was probably already noon.




/Yeah, I'm fine now/, I said softly.




/That's great/. We should get going, by the way. We have a lot of work to do. I hope I can visit you again/ said Mandy.




/Of course, only if alpha Derek agrees/ Lulu hinted looking at Derek.




He gave a slight smile and nodded /Yes, you're welcome. But next time I'll go with Katlyn to look after her/ said Derek looking at me with determination.




I swallowed and frowned. I couldn't believe what he had said.




/It will be our pleasure to have you join us, Alpha Derek/ said Brianna.




Soon the three of them said goodbye and Derek chauffeured them off to their jobs. After that, I looked at Derek and sighed deeply, how could a man be cruel and adorable at the same time?




I didn't even have time to wander in my thoughts when suddenly I heard someone had arrived.




I quickly turned around and was met by this handsome figure with the face of a Greek god. My cheeks flushed red from everything that had happened the night before.




/What are you doing here? asked Derek with a serious expression as he grabbed my hand tightly.




I opened my eyes in surprise. Derek had never held my hand like that before. I swallowed dryly and faked a smile.




/Aren't you going to introduce me to your wife,’ Riley hinted with a soft smile.




For a few seconds our gazes met as my body shuddered. This man was stirring all sorts of things inside me. I shook my head and looked down in shame.




I only remembered how I caressed his perfect face while my eyes detailed his full, pink lips. Fuck! I was so drunk...




/It's not necessary, you can go. I'll mail you the papers/ Derek said pointing to the exit to his friend.




My eyes widened like two plates at Derek's attitude. I was kicking him out of the house for no reason.




/Hey, why are you kicking him out, are you jealous?/ I asked in a mocking tone.




Derek heard my question and looked at me dangerously /Silence Katlyn. I'm not jealous, and that will never happen/ he said.




I just smiled bitterly and frowned. I didn't even know why he had asked that question. That man had no feelings for any woman.




/Well, I'll go thank your friend for bringing me here/ I hinted with a smirk.
