I needed to stop what I was feeling for him. I don't want to fall in love with that man, not as long as I can help it! I will do everything in my power not to fall into his trap. 

I will beat him at his own game! 

Alpha Derek and I walked to the car. I had absolutely no idea what our destination was. He mentioned earlier that we are going to walk through the pack lands, that made me a little nervous. I just hope I can play my part well.

While we were on our departure, I avoided talking to him and kept busy. I tried not to make eye contact with him.

After a while, the car finally stopped...right in the middle of the road. My eyes scanned the surroundings in amazement as I saw numerous houses everywhere.

"This place was the territory of the rogues" Derek explained, I quickly nodded my head.

Rogues, was a term used for those people who... belong to a lower class of the herd.

We got out of the car and I couldn't help but take a deep breath mentally preparing myself.

Seeing the life of rogues, I felt so discouraged. 

However, I come from the middle class of the pack, but, I still felt sorry for those who belong to the lower class. Werewolves and humans live in the same town. I'm just an ordinary human being, but... I can also interact with wolves.

"Come on, let's visit them". He said and starting to move his legs.

I started to follow Derek, and I couldn't help but feel annoyed with him. Derek was walking too fast and I couldn't catch up with him, something told me he was doing it on purpose.

Suddenly someone grabbed my hand and I heard a loud sound.

"Katlyn!” a strange woman exclaimed, I don't know at what moment she approached me... it made me nervous. 

Looking at her dirty face, her shabby attire and her droopy eyes, everything seemed peculiar. The way his hair was messy and scraggly, he looked like he was in a lot of misery.

“How do you know my name?” I asked her, but she looked at me looked at me as if she was trying to read my thoughts or figure out all my sins.

“My name is Analia, the prognosticator” She answered confusing me more than I was. 

I couldn't understand her. She was acting so weird.

"Oh, uh..." I really didn't know what to say "Hello, Analia..." I tried to answer trying to fake an awkward smile "What can I do for you?" I asked her.

The woman pulled me closer to her, I saw her eyes big and deep ..

"Pain, hate and truth will change your life. People next to you will betray you and hurt you. Please be careful. Protect yourself and also secure your heart because someone will break it" He said leaving me totally dumbfounded and bewildered. 

I could feel my heart pumping in my chest because of what Analia had just mentioned.

“Wait... I can't understand, what do you mean by that?” I asked her.

"It will hurt you, but at the same time, it will make you happy. You'll go through so much pain and struggles... but finally you'll get your happy ending" My brain seemed to be spinning from what she stated. I couldn't digest it well.

"Analia, please could you be more specific, what do you mean by that?" I asked her in my calm tone with a slight generous smile.

She just stared at me and didn't utter a word. It was an awkward moment of silence.

It was then when someone called out to me behind my back and I immediately turned my head to see who was calling me.

"Katlyn, at what point did you become so slow? I realized that it was Derek who was calling me insistently.

When I turned my head back to where Analia was, I realized that she had already disappeared.

"Damn it, where is she?" I asked and tried to shift my eyes around, but Analia was nowhere to be found.

"Are you okay, who are you looking at?" Derek asked as he kept walking towards me. 

I took a deep breath before answering him.

"Did you see the girl I'm talking to earlier?" I asked, which made his eyebrows arch in a strange expression.

"She left" He said curtly.

Her cold response made me shrug my shoulders. She seemed to be angry that I didn't follow him. He turned to go back.

"I'm sorry if I didn't follow you. It's just that I was talking to Analia" I uttered, feeling a little confused even by my own words.

"Analia? you mean the forecaster? he asked, stopping his step, I looked at him immediately.

"Do you know her?" I asked, a bit confused, but interested to have an answer.

"Yes, she is the prognosticator. I heard rumors that she is very hard to find and every prediction she said was true" He answered dryly.

For the second time, I was dumbfounded. I couldn't even believe that there was someone here who had such powers to know with certainty what will happen in the future.

The words that woman had said were very complicated to understand. It was difficult for me to understand. The only thing I still remember clearly is something very specific... the people next to me will betray me.

Who do you mean by that?

It seems that I wanted to see her again. So I could ask her everything she told me before, but where could I find her?

And then, suddenly... my mind made a connection, my soul almost leaving my body. I couldn't process it. Derek... I couldn't believe Derek would probably do that to me. My heart jumped with nervousness.

"That will bring you back to your senses". He said and winked at me.

He caressed my mouth because I could still feel Derek's lips pressing against mine. He stomped me in the middle of my imagination. Damn, he was right.

I came back to my senses when I felt him against my lips. Damn, he always takes me by surprise. I tried to wander with my gaze to the surroundings, and no one saw what he did.

"And what are you waiting for, Katlyn? Come on, we have to move on" He said and which made me bite my lower lips and blush slightly.

Derek and I kept walking. We talked to some local rogues, and Derek offered them something that would help them with their daily needs. Truth be told, I was surprised at what he did. Not bad at all.

We finished talking to the rogues. It was kind of nice actually.

When Derek told me we had to go home. The feelings of interacting with his pack members made me happy. I was kind of enjoying being his surrogate wife.
