EPILOGUE 1

"So what happens now? Nothing seems to have changed." Sybil dared to ask Hades in the deafening silence. Talia's body was cold and rigid and without much of a miracle, Sybil couldn't believe anything had changed.

Hades stood over Sybil, his darkness spreading across the room until everything and everyone in the castle was covered in liquid blackness. His ink-black eyes had a scathing effect on everything he looked at but this time he looked at his daughter, blue and cold as a corpse. Did he take pity on her fate or was it just mere curiosity? For a man who looked like the epitome of darkness himself, Sybil couldn't read his face but if he had been so obsessed with Persephone, there was a freaking high chance this man was capable of love. Sybil guessed he just never had love for the girl whose life he took. Her eyes then flickered to Solomon who had been quiet all through. His mind told a different story. Sybil could feel his grief like it was hers. He was broken. So broken that even if all that ran through his feral mind was the urge to rip Hades by the throat or die trying, he couldn't even bring himself to do it. In his own words, He was still Talia's father.

"Why don't you look closely?" Hades said to Sybil.

Sybil noticed his spread-out darkness retracted towards him and pouring in the back of his three-piece black suit like they belonged there. The darkness then soared upwards, covering his entire body before it sank into the floor, and just like he had come, he was gone. All that remained was his signature divine energy and Sybil got the answer she was looking for. A survivor of the attack, Sybil was guessing a witch, suddenly vanished. Zeus next then Hera. The future was changing.

"Solomon," Sybil tenderly said, gaining the shifter's attention. "You don't have to grieve anymore Solomon Garner. It looks like he has gone to fix things."

Solomon looked around and learned she was telling the truth. Now there was a chance for Talia to live again but he was also dejected. I'm simpler times, Roman was dejected that he would be losing the mate he just got and for Solomon, the fiery personality with the biggest heart.

"Do you think we will all be like this if the past gets rewritten?"

"I don't think so," Sybil answered honestly. "Which is why I can do this and not be afraid of the consequences." Sybil took his chin in her fingers, turning his head toward her face, and smiled, quite unable to speak. Solomon’s face turned red, and his eyes dropped to Sybil's lips. He knew what she was about to do but he was patient.

"I like you very much, Solomon Garner." She said, leaning in to kiss him. In that kiss was the sweetness of passion, a million loving thoughts condensed into a moment and then the surge of true divine magick enveloped them whole. against my skin.
The air smelled of moss, wood, and vanilla. A rumored scent of the old god's abilities.

"I love you, Sybil." Solomon Garner promised right before the brightness claimed them both.
