124: Ada’s POV

*Fae blood?*

What the fuck were these two idiots trying to suggest? As far as I knew, the members of my family were full-blooded werewolves. I mean, sure, I had learned *a lot* about my lineage that I didn't know until recently. But *fae blood?*

My eyes widened, my hands trembling slightly. The magick. Werewolves were tied to the Moon Godess and her magick only. The ability to shift was given, and most royal bloodlines were distinguished by the ability to shift anytime. Nik was the exception amongst the Ashford brothers because of his unique birth. But my abilities? My fathers abilities? His apparent alliance with a Fae Queen? Fae blood made the most sense.

I hated every bit of this information.

My mates remained silent, but each of their bodies had tensed and their eyes had locked on Dagger-- and his easy-going smirk that radiated seduction. Yeah, Lilith was right. The Kings were definitely not going to like these fae warriors.

I cleared my throat, "Let's say I believe that. What does it mean?"

He sighed, his dual-colored eyes grazing over my face and body slowly, "It means we need to figure out just how much of you is fae."

"How do you do that?" Nik questioned, positioning himself between Dagger and I.

"Well," it was Blade that stepped forward with his arms crossed over his chest and an incredibly serious expression on his face, "The easiest way for us to tell is to drink her blood while fucking her. But something tells me that's not a possibility."

My face heated. Darius scoffed, "I don't see how that would help anyway."

"Carnal pleasure makes a part-faes fae traits come forward. Fae are a lot like vampires with the blood cravings, and the two of us are old enough to distinguish a lot about a person when we drink from them," Dagger's smirk turned into a full-blown grin, "Us fucking her instead of you while doing it would simply be for our enjoyment."

Phoenix growled, the sound low and menacing, "It definitely won't happen."

"We'll see," Blade shrugged, eyes locking on mine, "The type of hybrid she is are quite insatiable. She may need someone to satisfy the magical parts of her blood."

Silence rang through the room. The tension was palpable, and a nervous laugh rose in my throat. I cleared my throat to keep it down, standing up, "Is there another option for determining how much fae blood I have?"

"Testing you."

"Testing me in what ways?"

"Magickally. There are things your magick would be able to tell us."

"I'll do that, then." I sighed, turning to look at my mates, "Why don't we have Cade give them a tour of the castle while the four of us talk?"

It took less than thirty seconds for the beta to arrive once the words left my mouth. Blade and Dagger bowed deeply at the four of us and exited the office. The second the door shut behind them, Darius sighed, "I don't like them."

"Neither do I," Nik nodded in agreement, leaning against my desk, "But they've already given us a lot of information to work with. The alliance with them will be a necessary one."

The three of them spun to look at me. I shrugged, "It is what it is. Why don't we talk about how we want to handle the sleeping and living arrangements?"

"As long as those two are here, you'll always be with one of us," Phoenix stated firmly, looking at each of us like he dared us to argue, "I'd say you determine where you want to sleep each night and who you want to be with."

"I agree that it's best if you call the shots on a day by day basis," Nik nodded, "We're all bound to have disagreements and a set schedule could complicate that even further."

Darius clucked his tongue, "I do think we get rid of her individual quarters and construct her a wing within our quarters."

"I can get behind that," I smiled, "How will the three of you be approaching traveling and work for each of your roles with me having to be with each of you?"

"Easy. You'll simply tag along to anything we have to do," Darius stated and the other two nodded quickly, "We can start working on plans for the construction right away. Now, let's talk about your coronation."

I groaned, "What about it?"

Nik smiled, draping an arm over my shoulder, "Let's just settle on a day."

"Two weeks from today," I tossed out firmly, "Now, how about we let somebody else worry about the details-- Like maybe Gwynn or Mariah," I leaned into Nik's side, "That way the three of us can do some less savory things before the three of you get back to work?"
