135: Ada's POV
Dagger and Blade were waiting in the gardens for Darius, Nik, and me to arrive. The two of them looked striking in well-tailored linen suits. Blade was wearing a light blue linen suit, with a white dress shirt tucked in, but unbuttoned halfway down— revealing his broad, muscular chest. Dagger was in the opposite— a white linen suit with a light blue dress shirt, unbuttoned halfway down. Both were in tan loafers with their hands in the pockets of their pants. In short, they looked fucking edible.
I was alarmed that the thought had come into my mind and quickly shoved it away.
As we approached them, both of the fae smirked. Blade’s smirk grew into a full-on grin as Nik glared at the pair. Blade’s voice flitted into my head, *Have you told your mates you can communicate with us?*
I shook my head with a smile as I said aloud, “How are you two settling in?”
They glanced at each other, then Dagger nodded at me, “We’re fine. You’re aware that you’re—” he motioned at Blade, “What the hell do wolves call it?” He motioned in the air while he was thinking and then snapped his fingers, “*In heat*. That’s what you all call it.”
My smile fell. Nik and Darius both turned to look at me, eyes wide. I shrugged, turning to face them, “No, I’m not. I don’t have any of the signs that the pack doctor—”
“You’re not a normal wolf,” Nik cut me off, running a hand through his hair with a groan.
Darius tapped his fingers against his thigh, giving me a soft smile, “Makes everything make a lot more sense.”
I pointed at Dagger, “So what are the signs then?”
Blade was the one who answered, motioning up and down my body, “I can smell your arousal— it’s been constant since we arrived,” his eyes roved over Nik and Darius, “Don’t tell me your mates can’t smell that.”
“We can,” Nik snapped, “She won’t have any of the fevers and delirium?” Dagger shook his head, and Nik sighed, “Okay. Well, that kind of changes plans for the next few days to a week.”
“Why?” I cocked my head to the side, “We can still work and train. I’ll be alright.”
“Actually, you won’t,” Blade sighed and chuckled, “Female wolves get violent if they aren’t satisfied every few hours, and female fae have been known to have magickal fits.”
“So, you’re telling me that all I can really do until this is over is fuck?” I swallowed as heat flooded between my legs at that thought.
“And eat and sleep,” Blade grinned as I raked my eyes up and down his body, biting my lower lip, “I’m happy to let you give us fae men a try if your mates are willing to share.”
Growls erupted from Nik and Darius. Darius’s voice was a snarl, “Absolutely not.”
I couldn’t tear my eyes off Blade and his well-sculpted bare chest. What the hell was wrong with me? Dagger leaned forward, “Your mate seems to have other ideas. She’s most likely in her peak of the period.”
Nik’s hand wrapped around my elbow and jerked me toward his side, “What does that mean for fae?”
“I’d lock her up and keep her away from other males. Fae don’t mate the way you wolves do— we’re all very fluid.”
Darius crossed his arms over his chest and turned to Nik, “Take her inside. We’ll rotate every few hours,” he sighed, looking at me, “I’ll loop Phoenix in.”
I planted my feet firmly on the ground, sending a spiral of ice and fire shooting out. All four of the men around me jumped out of the way of any bolts and flames. As my face grew hot with embarrassment, I croaked out, “Don’t I get a say in any of this?”
Nik shook his head and grabbed my elbow again, “No. Let’s go.”
He pulled me back inside, marching down the halls quickly. I stumbled after him, muttering under my breath about my lack of independence. When I looked up from my feet, I realized Nik was turning the handle to the shared living suites of him and his brothers. He continued dragging me inside, beelining for his room.
My eyes widened when he pulled a key from his pocket and released my hand. He unlocked the door to the room we’d only been in once more, and my heart leapt with excitement. Nik stepped into the room and hooked his finger, motioning for me to come with him.
I stepped into the room, looking around and taking it all in again. My mouth watered as I looked at the benches and toys lying around. Nik shrugged off his jacket and rolled up the sleeves of his shirt before crossing his arms over his chest.
Slowly, I reached back and undid the zipper to the dress Nik had put me in. The thick material fell off my body and to the ground around my ankles. He smirked and motioned for me to twirl. I followed the instructions, feeling his eyes rove over the lace thong and bra I was in.
Nik motioned to a seat that was shaped like a saddle on the opposite end of the room. As I approached it, I noticed that the center of the seat had a little nub on it that raised up about an inch off the seat. I cocked my head to the side before turning to look at Nik.
He grinned, “Oh, we’re going to have so much fun together today, dove.”
