I felt sick.
Nervously sick.
I needed something to distract myself.
Music?
A book?
A walk?
Sex?
Cristiano?
Okay, Rose, going off the whole topic now. .
But. . .
A hand was placed on my shoulder, my body automatically badly reacting by jolting away, a small gasp leaving my mouth in shock.
I turned to face the perpetrator, a strong, hard glare on my face. "Don't do that," I scolded, rolling my eyes and huffing a little as I turned away once more, picking up my diamond earrings and slipping the on, letting them shine beautifully in the light.
"Listen. .Rose-"
"Look, why are you here?" I asked, snappily as I faced him once more, irritated.
Helplessly, his hazel eyes gazed into mine. He parted his lips, as though he was ready to ask me something however he paused, licking his lips. Reaching over, he grabbed something from the shelf high up onto the wall, bringing down to boxes and handing them to me.
In curiosity, my eyebrows furrowed. My eyes widened a little as I unwrapped the first rectangular item and gazing at, my hands feeling the smooth, leather material of the expensive item.
I unzipped it delicately, my eyes expanding even more as they gazed in wonder at the rows of bank notes neatly filed in it, lines of credit cards and IDs caught my attention.
Oh my gosh
What the hell?
I couldn't help but smile a little, my heart warming at the sight. Reaching out my hand, I picked up the other item that was hidden by plain crimson wrapping paper.
Unwrapping it, the simple icon caught my eyes. Opening the box, the large, pristine glimmering screen stared back at me. I smiled, my eyes filled with astonishment.
Damn
"I got it especially customised red," his familiar, deep voice said with a slight Italian accent.
My head snapped up, locking eyes with a pair of hazel ones that always captivated me. My smile slowly faded and I glanced back down at the phone, turning it delicately to reveal the glossy red back.
"Thank you," I quietly replied, my eyes flickering to his once more as I licked my lips slowly, awkwardness settling in between us. "You always help me," I practically whispered, my eyes moving back to the phone and case that still amazed me. The littlest things meant the most to me.
"Of course," he responded softly, his attractive eyes startling me. "You deserve it."
I looked away once more, placing the Apple box down and facing him, exhaling silently.
"Vanessa is my ex," Cristiano told me, his eyes filled with seriousness and reassurance. "Nothing more, Rose."
I raised my eyebrow, giving him my most careless look. "What's your point?" His eyebrows raised a little on surprise, his tongue sliding over his lips.
I rolled my eyes, turning and picking up my mascara once more, about to letting it brush out my eyelashes until he gently took it away from me, placing it down on the table.
Softly huffing, I turned to face him, clenching my jaw a little in irritation. "Yes, Cristiano?"
"I'm being serious."
"For once," I joked, rolling my eyes a little. "But we're friends so why are you telling me this?"
He scoffed, shaking his head at me in dismal. "You and I both know that we've never just 'been friends'." My lips parted and my face softened, my breath suddenly hitching as I lost oxygen, my heart thumping against my chest roughly.
I gulped silently, his hazel eyes intimidating me. I averted my eyes, tense.
"And I don't want to be just friends," he added, making my heart skip a beat.
Oh
My
Gosh
I slowly licked my lips, my body fully aware of my surroundings. I realised how much more closer we were, his hand on the wall by my side, trapping me in.
I felt claustrophobic; my hands grew clammy and my cheeks reddened, heat overwhelming me. I struggled to breathe, oxygen supplies failing and my heart rate quickening as I tried to rationalise what was going on.
". .what do you want to be then?" I mumbled quietly, my eyes glancing up to his but moving away as I was faced with more intimidation.
He chuckled quietly, his eyes twinkling as they mesmerised mine. He licked his kissable lips ever so slowly, his eyes dropping down to my lips. I couldn't hold back any longer and leaned in, pressing my lips against his.
He pulled me close, our bodies gently against each other as we slowly kissed, my body melting against his as I was intoxicated by his lips.
Pulling away, he met my eyes, caressing my cheek slowly. "Don't you think so too?"
My lips parted but no words came out. I was speechless. My eyes looked up to his as my chest tightened and my mind struggled to piece together sentences.
Nevertheless, he smiled a little before moving away and walking to the door, looking at me once more. "There's my answer."
My face changed in astonishment as his eyes ran across my body before meeting mine once more. "We should get going. I have business to finally end." With those words said, he opened the door, leaving as it sir before him.
I looked into the mirror.
Ugly Slut.

The club was electric that night, everyone smiling and fast dancing, feet moving to the beats like they belonged to the music.
The music was so loud that it made my skin tingle and my lungs feel like mush. The bass thumped in time with my heart beat as though they were one. Neon lights flashed everywhere like police sirens, but much more colourful.
The song that was playing got louder, pulling me in and wouldn't let go. I move like my hips were made to sway, the sequins catching the disco ball light that twirls above, every shade of the rainbow into the darkness.
Wriggling my hips and waving my arms slowly in the air, I let myself drift away, forgetting ever single problem in my life. I smiled, taking in that happiness overwhelming me and letting myself breathe as I thought of nothing negative.
Good vibes only.
