"Well. . ." I began, completely surprised by her dilemma. "Uh. .this has never happened to me but. . .I'm sure everything's okay if you guys, clearly, have been dry humping or something this morning-"
Tori gasped, throwing a pillow at me which made me laugh. "What? It's the truth, right!"
"I am not answering that!" Tori bursted, her cheeks going deeply red. I smirked at her, waggling my tongue at her. She rolled her eyes at me, a small smile forming on her face.
"I don't know, Rose," she softly started, her smile extending as she chuckled softly. "He's just. . .everything to me and it feels like I didn't move away and my feelings for him are still there. We just connect and. . .I still love him. He was my first love - is. I love him more than I loved Riley, and I know he's a good person to Mira. He treats her like his own and sometimes I can't help but wonder what life would be like if she was his."
"But she's not," I reminded her benevolently, with a warm smile. "So it's up to you to decide whether you want Dax to a father figure to Mira or not. Do you know what happened to Riley?"
Tori shook her head, her smile faded at the mention of her ex. "No. Dax refuses to tell me so I stopped asking. He's not my concern anymore and I don't want him anywhere near my baby anyway. So. . .I think I want Dax to be a father to Mira if the time ever came for our relationship to build up to that. That's if he wants to, of course. But I feel guilty at the same time because Mira already has a dad."
"To be called 'dad', you have to earn it," I told her seriously, our eyes directly locked. "He hit his eight month old daughter. He lost that title as soon as he did that. If anything, Dax is earning it."
She nodded slowly, biting her bottom lip as she looked down at Mira who was too busy playing.
"I feel - know I - Mira and I have a future with Dax. But I'll see how our relationship goes first then I'll decide."
I nodded, giving her a reassuring smile. She cleared her throat and gave me a beaming grin. "So? How's it going, baby momma?"
I groaned softly, burying my head in a pillow which made her laugh. I sighed, putting the pillow down and meeting her eyes. "It's hard being pregnant, Tori! I'm only a month in and already, I'm exhausted."
Tori chuckled lightly, shaking her head. "I remember being pregnant. Geez, it's got ups and downs but it's all worth it in the end," she informed me, cuddling Mira. "I got my beautiful baby and you will too. For any name ideas?"
I shook my head, sighing. "I'm not sure. I never really thought I'd ever be pregnant because all my relationships went downhill. I was really pessimistic. I don't mind which gender either. I just want the baby to be safe and healthy."
She smiled knowingly, agreeing. There was a knock on the door and I turned as Tori called out, "Come in!"
Gage walked in wearing some black jeans, a neatly ironed, white, button-up shirt and some expensive trainers. His hair was perfectly combed and he looked good - clean. His skin was practically glowing. In fact, he looked handsome.
He was fixing his cuffs and came in saying, "morning, ladies and princess. May I please steal the pregnant red head?"
"You may," Tori replied with a smile. "I gotta breast feed anyway."
I rolled my eyes and bid a goodbye to Tori and Mira. With a sigh, I followed Gage out of the room, closing the door behind me.
"Yes, grey eyes?"
"I have an appointment with Genevieve today. They're gonna try and wake her up and I could really use your support, Rose."
My face changed and I immediately felt sympathetic towards Gags. I nodded, licking my lips. "Yes, okay, I'll go with you."
"Thanks, Rose," he said, giving me a kind smile. "I'll meet you downstairs in the car?" I nodded, giving him an assuring smile. "Yeah, just give me five minutes."

When we arrived at the hospital, I noticed how nervous Gage got.
In the elevator, he drummed his fingers against the wall, tapping his foot impatiently and looking around swiftly, exhaling loudly and slowly a few times.
"So. What's it like being pregnant?"
A soft laugh left my mouth as I glanced over at him. "Interesting. It's not easy but it's gonna be worth it in the end. Gage, stop pacing around."
He froze and leaned against the wall, sighing and rubbing his eyes. "I'm sorry. I'm just anxious. Last two times haven't worked and. . .they're saying that if this time doesn't work, maybe it's time to turn off the plug."
"Don't give up on her, Gage," I seriously advised him, our eyes locking. "No matter what, I don't want you to." He nodded, giving me a small smile as the elevator doors opened and we walked out.
He was nervous.
His hands were practically shaking and he ran them through his hair, realising he had messed it up and patterned down his hair, exhaling slowly to calm himself.
"Rose. I'm shitting myself. I'm so fucking nervous."
"Gage," I softly said, stopped him and looking into his eyes kindly. "Just breathe in and out slowly and calm yourself. Everything is going to be alright. You have to think positive." He nodded, inhaling deeply before exhaling slowly. He did this a few times before nodding once more and licking his lips. "Alright. I'm good."
I nodded at him before pushing the hospital door open to reveal Genevieve in the bed, a man and a woman sitting in the seats beside her bed.
The man was tall and muscular - bigger than Cris and the idiots' muscles. He was older and in a way, he actually looked kinda handsome. He must've been more attractive when he was younger. His face was strong and hard, emotionless yet authoritative. Once his eyes landed upon us, his scowl grew and his wrinkles were exposed.
"Get the hell out of here, you mongrel, before I call security!"
