Chapter 41
"Alright, stop talking about this. I won’t die, and you certainly won’t either." His eyes were slightly moist. No, it would be too embarrassing to cry from being moved! He blinked away the tears and showed a mischievous smile.
"So, we’ve reached a consensus and agreed to have a child, right? Then we don’t need to worry about whether we have 'protection' or not. Let’s do it now—"
"Wait! That’s a different matter!" She quickly grabbed his wandering hand. "Besides, Mrs. Lenny is still waiting for us for breakfast—"
"How is it a different matter? Are we having communication issues? To me, it’s clearly the same thing. As for breakfast, if they don’t see us downstairs, they can probably guess what we’re doing." He pressed her down, whispering intimately in her ear, "I don’t want to have breakfast; I want to hold you..."
"But, your..." Her breath became fragmented. "Your body isn’t up to it..."
"Who says it’s not up to it? Do you think I haven’t been holding you lately because I’m losing stamina? It’s because we don’t have protection, and I don’t want you to get pregnant, so I’ve been holding back. After your recent enlightenment, I’ve had an epiphany and think having a child is not bad. Now you don’t want one?"
"So, I said it’s a different matter. Deciding to have a child doesn’t mean we have to have one right now—" Her lips were sealed by him, and her arguments gradually softened.
As passion ignited inside the room, footsteps sounded outside. They were too absorbed to notice until the footsteps reached the half-open door. Emil realized someone was there and quickly pulled up the blanket to cover the disheveled Sarah.
"What’s wrong?" She peeked out from the edge of the blanket and saw the handsome boy who had given her chocolate in the morning standing at the door, looking at them with a strange expression.
She was extremely embarrassed and quickly hid back under the blanket.
Emil, however, remained composed, his chest half-exposed, and calmly addressed the heartbroken boy in German, "Do you need something?"
She hid under the blanket, listening to their conversation. The boy spoke in French, sounding both angry and anxious. Emil responded in German, his soft, lazy tone, no matter the language, always carried an enticing charm.
She couldn’t understand a word but secretly admired him. Over the past two years, they had been to many places, and no matter what language people spoke, he could communicate fluently with them. He said it was because, before settling down for drug experiments, he had traveled almost everywhere on Earth, so no language was difficult for him.
After finally sending the boy away, Emil locked the door and grumbled as he returned to the bed, "That’s why I don’t want kids. When I want to hold my beloved wife, the son suddenly bursts in saying he tore his clothes, followed by the daughter screaming for snacks. The mood is completely ruined."
Sarah was amused by him, "What did you and Claude talk about?"
"He was threatening me." This made him even more annoyed. "That brat! I’m older than his entire family combined, and he dares to threaten me."
She was very surprised, "He threatened you? Why?"
"He’s in love with you and wants to marry you."
"What?"
She hadn’t noticed the boy’s feelings at all. He explained, "He fell in love with you at first sight and said he must marry you. He even said he doesn’t mind you being with me now because he’ll grow up soon. In ten years, he’ll be a handsome and accomplished young man, while I’ll be an old geezer, and you’ll naturally prefer him. Such thick skin, to call himself handsome and accomplished."
She was initially stunned, then found it increasingly amusing, "So how did you respond?"
"I said that before he grows up, I’ll take you far away, and he’ll never find you. He got very angry and said that if he can’t marry you in this life, he’ll do it in the next. I told him to give up because not only in this life but in the next and the one after that, you’ll always love me." He pressed her soft body again, looking innocent, "Since I’ve said that, you wouldn’t mind helping me save face in front of that brat, would you?"
"Aren’t you forcing me to win the prize?" She smiled sweetly, letting him undo their clothes.
"Even if it’s forced, it’s still a prize. Winning the prize of my devoted and passionate love isn’t a loss." He took the opportunity to extort her promise, "So, what do you say? Let me make a reservation?"
"Can I answer with actions?" She wrapped her arms around his neck, showing him her most beautiful smile, and proactively kissed his lips.
Outside, snowflakes slowly fell, while inside, the lovers indulged in their passion, extending their fiery love until the end of time.
