ISBERLT.
A familiar sentiment shoots through my body as I turn around in my stand to come into view with a smiling Rita.

"Of course it's you!" She laughs, her eyes trailing down my body, taking my appearance in with a too familiar glint in her eyes. "I felt like it's you! I thought you left us. How come you're here?" She raises her brows at me, twirling a strand of her hair around her fingers as she smiles mischievously at me, and I bite down on my tongue; my hands curling into fists as the memories of everything this girl that stands before me come rushing back.

You see; Rita is the daughter of Alpha Gael, my old pack's Alpha, and just like her father—Rita is one of the most horrible people I have ever met.

She's selfish to the very core. Not to talk about the fact that she's a manipulating dirty little bitch, and the things she's done to me; I can never forget.

**A SHORT FLASHBACK.**

[EIGHT YEARS AGO; THE SILVER MOON PACK. THE PACK'S SCHOOL.]

"Forgive me, Rita. I truly do not know that you gave an edict for everyone to stay away from him."

Fifteen years old I, beg as I stare into the vicious eyes of an equal fifteen years old Rita with her girls standing beside each side of her, all glaring at me with eyes that makes me want to dig a hole in the ground and bury myself in it.

"Guys," she calls the other's attention, and they both turn to her, taking their eyes away from me for a while as I tremble on my knees, lips quivering and eyes moistening. "She said she didn't know that Lucas is mine. The bitch fucking said she didn't know!" She laughs, and the others follow while I tilt my head in embarrassment, fingers digging into the skin of my thighs that aren't covered by my school skirt.

"I bet she knew, but had the guts to dare you to do something. " Taylor says from her right side, and I lift my gaze to meet hers, shaking my head with no words falling from my lips as the pounding of my heart echoes in my ear continuously.

"You think you can do whatever you want, just because my father favoured your bastard of a father?" At those words, outrage uproars in me, and I cease shuddering momentarily, meeting her square in the eyes, though the fear remains in me.

"You do not speak of my father that way."

I tell her, watching her face morphs into one of surprise as she didn't expect me to speak back to her, but there's no way in hell I'll remain silent when she speaks about my father that way."I told you," I continue, getting up on my knees, and their gazes follow me in surprise. "I was merely studying with Lucas, and that's because we were paired together for a chemistry project. Your problem should be with the teacher who paired us together, not me. Even at that, claiming a boy as yours at this stage? Isn't that just too ridiculous?" I do not know where these bold words are coming from, but I'm tired of this girl's bullshit.

Just because she's the Alpha's daughter doesn't give her the right to treat others like trash, and it's time someone talks some sense into her.

"Did you just talk back at me?"

She finally voices out; shock clear in her words, and I gulp down the fear that rises in me again as I stare around the crowd that's formed around us—curious about what Rita Crown has up her sleeves this time.

"Did the bitch just fucking talk back at me?"

She raises her voice; the words echoing around the room as everyone falls into silence—no one daring to make a sound, all too chickened and scared to suffer the wrath of Rita Crown.

"I'm not a bitch."

I tell her, earning a few gasps from the crowd, and Rita's harlequins look as equally surprised as their leader.

'Do not let anyone step on you, my daughter. No matter how scared you might be, never be too afraid to voice out your opinion on things because if you are, the world will see you as a weakling to be treated like trash. So if everyone says yes, and your opinion remains no—don't be afraid to stand out, my pumpkin.'

My mother's words echo in my ear, and I raise my chin high, my shoulders set up straight as I step closer to her, even when my feet refuse to proceed.

"Lucas isn't yours to claim, and he may be friends with whoever he wants. That stupid order of asking every girl to stay away from him is just ludicrous of you, Rita, " I tell her, words coming out in an angered tone from how long I've allowed this girl to step all over me when she's just a weakling that relies on the power her father holds over everyone else. But she's not the fucking Alpha. Her father is, and I will not allow her to treat me like trash.

"You have got quite the mouth, haven't you?"

She raises her brows at me, and I say nothing, but meet her glare, daring her to do something.

Undoubtedly, I went too far, forgetting that standing up to myself does not only mean standing up to Rita, but the rest of them. And one weak voice against thousands of voices can never win. Especially when it holds no sovereignty.

"Trash her. " She orders, crossing her arms against her chest with a smirk playing off her lips, and I shake my head as her two clowns move towards me with a menacing smile on either's face.

"Stay away from me. " I tell them, but to no avail.

Taylor grabs hold of my right hand, and Diana grabs hold of the other; pinning me against the wall, inducing me defenceless as Rita walks towards me with a victorious smile on her face.

"Never. Dare. To. Talk. Back. At. Me. You. Little. Piece. Of. Shit. " She growls, before smacking me right across the face, and that's when my suffering starts.

[BACK TO PRESENT.]

I suffered throughout my days at school and at the pack house. Rita turned into a bully that picks at me every time of the day, and excavate things to blame me for, just to have me penalized.

It came to a point where she intimidated me, and I couldn't stand for myself — not alone.

My blood boils anytime I remember the horrible things she's done to me, and not to mention the part she played in making me lose everything and suffering the death of my mother and the disappearance of my father.

"What do you want?" I seethe, and she chuckles. God, her face makes me sick. Seeing her makes me want to punch her right in the face, and I would have—if I hadn't been in a lower position too.

"I see you're still that little brat that you have always been. Shouldn't you have learnt your lesson after your slut of a mother died?" She raises her brows, purposely taunting me, I know, but that doesn't mean it makes me calm.

Calm down, Isberlt. Say nothing. Do nothing. Remember, you're supposed to stay out of trouble. Just walk away, Isberlt.

"And I see you remain that little bitch that you've always been. I don't have time for your games, Rita."

I tell her and turn around.

Just one step. Just one fùcking step and I would have made it. I just had to take one step away from her, and forget that I ever encountered her, but before I can take that step; the next words that fall from her mouth led to me making a decision that I'm sure I'll come back to regret, but right at the moment, I give no fuck about.

"Oh, that's right. I heard your pathetic shit of a father left you, too. "

I don't think before I act. Or maybe I just didn't want to. I don't think about the consequences. I'll have to suffer if I do it.

I don't.

I just turn right back, and smack my fist right into her face, making her lose her stand as she stumbles back, and falls on her ass.

"You do not talk about my father like that, you little piece of shit!"

I try to lunge at her, only to be held back by a pair of muscular arm as two women run towards Rita, raising her.

"Take her away from me! She's a fucking psycho!"

She cries, hand covering her now bleeding nose, and the sight of her dripping blood makes me even furious. I want her to suffer more than that! She deserves to!

"What's going on?"

I freeze and stop struggling against whoever is holding me at the sound of that voice. A voice that I know damn too well to not recognise, and one that makes me ten times angrier before the figure comes into my view. His back turned to me as he attends to his daughter.

You must be fucking kidding me. He is here?

"Dad," she cries like a little child, and they exchanged murmurs between the two of them before the gigantic figure of my old Alpha turns towards me; his face coming into view, and I lost it right there.

He is the one.

"Isberlt?"

He calls, sounding so unsure.

Of course, you should remember! Why shouldn't you remember the face of the girl whose life you ruined?! Whose family you destroy?!

"What is happening here?"

The Alpha King's voice cuts through the silence as he steps beside my old Alpha, whose gaze hasn't left me. His eyes trail down my body, and it makes me even more feverish at the position I'm in right now.

"Your slave," He starts, eyes pinning me down. "Hit my daughter. "

For the first time, I notice the silence that's taken over, and I look around to see everyone's eyes on me, and none of them is looking so gracious. Amidst the glares and scowls—my gaze rests upon a familiar one that's covered in pity.

Rio shakes his head with a disappointed look on his face, and I bite down on my tongue before looking away from him.

He has no right to judge me! None of them fùcking do!

"You did this, wolf?"

The Alpha King questions, drawing my attention to him, and I stare back at Rita's form before meeting his gaze and nodding. "I did."

I watch as a muscle tickles in his jaw at my response, but I make no move to apologize. There's no way in hell I'm doing that after what that bitch just said to me!

"You hit the Alpha's daughter? Because of what? What reason do you have for doing this, Isberlt?"

He questions further, his tone harsh, and I gulp down the bile that rises in my throat when Rita speaks up. A complete lie at that!

"She's from our pack. And I was just offering my sincere consolations for what happened to her mother and father. Isberlt, however, took it the wrong way, and before I knew what was happening—she hit me. "

Bitch, you were calling my family names!

"What is this, Theodore?"

Alpha Gael says, gaze on the Alpha King. Theodore. That's his name.

"I suppose this is supposed to be a peaceful event, and I honoured your invitation against my better judgement, but this is what you make me suffer? Humiliation before the rest of the Packs? How dare your slave lay a hand on my daughter?"

His voice drips with anger and venom.

The Alpha King says nothing but directs his gaze towards me, keeping his demeanour with his arms folded behind him.

"I'm sorry for what your daughter had to suffer, Alpha Gael. Isberlt," He calls, and I grit my teeth, knowing exactly what's going to come back after that. "I believe you know the right thing to do. "

Punch her once again in her face?

"Apologize to Alpha Gael, and her daughter."

He orders, and I look away from him towards Rita, who has a smile on—obviously proud of what she's done. But nobody expects me notices, of course.

"I will not apologise to her, "

I tell him, earning angry roars and growls from the rest of the pack.

'Such a disrespectful wolf'

'She dares talk back at the Alpha King. Why the hell is she still breathing?'

'Isn't she a mere Slave? Does she not know about what she's doing, and who stands before her?'

Angry murmurs and hushed whispers cut through the air, and Theodore raises his hand; silence taking over once again at the motion.

"What did you say, Isberlt? You will not apologise?"

He raises his brows at me, daring me to repeat the words, and that's exactly what I do. "I will not."

I insist, a groan following my words as whoever is holding me kicks me in the backbone, pain shooting through my body at the force.

"You, a mere Slave, " The Alpha King starts, taking slow strides towards me. "Disrupted a royal event that's been planned for weeks, and yet you do not want to apologize for your impulsive behaviour?"

"I did nothing wrong! She was insulting my family! She insulted my father, and my mother, and I will not stand by and watch her..."

"You do not raise your voice at me, Slave!"

His voice goes higher than mine, and I shiver on my knees as I watch his eyes turn darker, a strange aura radiating off him.

"I am your master, and you are my slave! You do not raise your voice at me. " His voice goes low towards the end as he eyes something behind me, and fear creeps through my body as I'm being dragged back by two men.

"And I think it's time I teach you a salutary lesson before everyone. "

"No!"

I whimper as they lay me flat on the ground, turning into murderous beasts right before my very eyes.

God, no!

"A lesson that you will take to mind next time you stand before me."

His voice echoes in my mind as the man gazes down at me with lust-filled eyes.

"Fuck her. And do not stop until she's pleading for her life. "

Roars and growls of satisfaction erupt across the hall at the order.
