***ISBERLT.***

I look back at Heather who shrugs, telling me she doesn't know what's happening either, and I know she finds this situation just as weird as I find it.

Why will the Alpha King send his mistress to come to take me? Why not Rio? Or any of his pack members? Why her?

A strange feeling settles at the back of my mind, but I shake my head as I drop the tray, standing up.

Heather grabs hold of my hand, and shakes her head at me, "What if it's dangerous, Isberlt?" She whispers, jerking her head towards an angry Katniss that stands by the door, and I smile at her, before grabbing her hand in mine.

"It's not. I'm sure she wouldn't dare to do anything to me. "

"You do not know Katniss, Isberlt. She's one of the most dangerous women I've ever encountered. She may seem like she's all innocent, and quiet now, but she's like a green snake under a green snake, and her attacks are always unexpected, and poisonous. "

Shaking my head, I tell her again, "It's going to be fine. She won't dare to do anything. "

She sighs, and nod, letting go of my hand.

I look back towards Katniss, and march towards her with an equal glare on my face, matching her own.

"Lead the way. " I tell her, meeting her square in the eyes, and she scoffs before walking out of the room, and I follow behind her; cautious of every step she takes.

She walks down the hallway that leads to the Alpha King's room, and I let my body relax at the thought that she isn't trying to do anything stupid, until she takes a lead opposite the path that leads to his room.

I stop in my tracks with a curious look, watching her take steps gracefully; her gown cascading to the floor, with authority dripping off her form.

When she notices me stop trailing behind her, she stops in her tracks, and turn towards me with lifted brows.

"Why are you not coming along?" She questions, and I cross my arms against my chest, jerking my head towards the direction that we just passed.

"The Alpha King's room is that way, so where are you taking me?" Katniss chuckles at my words, and turns her entire body towards me, her hands folded before her as she stalks towards me in small, steady steps.

"Are you scared of me, Isberlt?" She asks, standing before me with a smirk etched on her face, and when I give her no response, she continues, "Of course you're scared of me. You should be scared of me because I can have your whole life destroyed within a blink of an eye. " She takes another step towards me, shoving her face into mine. "But fortunately for you, I do not want to do that... Yet. So you don't have to worry, there's nothing suspicious going on. The Alpha King isn't in his room; he awaits your presence in the forest for some job that he's given you. " She knows about the Sera? And how I'm helping them? Then she isn't lying? "But if you don't believe me, then you can go ahead and check yourself. But do not waste my time as I have many other important things I have to do, and I'm already furious as it is that I have to fetch a slave. "

She ends her words with a scowl, and I chuckle before nodding, saying. "Then lead the way, Mistress. " I purposely stretch the last word, and judging by the way her face hardens, and her scowl deepens— I know I got to her.

She turns around in her stand, and begin to walk down the dark hallway while I follow carefully behind her, cautious of my surroundings.

She takes a turn that leads outside the packhouse, and the noise dies down behind us as we walk further into the darkness of the night.

Katniss stops just before we take a step onto the forest, and I turn to her, "Why did you stop?"

"This is as far I can take you. You just have to walk further into the forest, and you'll see the Alpha King awaiting you with Alpha Eric, and Beta Rio. Now if you will excuse me. "

"Thank you, Mistress. I will let the Alpha King know that you did a job well done. "

I smile at her, and she shakes her head, stepping up to me.

"Do not forget one thing, Isberlt. You are a slave here, and you'll always remain a slave. I don't know what you have up your sleeves for deciding to help them. after putting the entire wolf kind in mess, but I promise you that Theodore will find out about your evil scheme soon. "

She scowls, and I bend my head slightly to her level since I'm a few inches taller than her.

The action causes her frown to deepen when she realizes what I did.

"You do not have to know what I have up my sleeves, Katniss. I don't think your tiny brain will be able to comprehend that. " I watch as her eyes turn from the normal colour, changing into bright yellow, indicating that her wolf took over, and she raises her hand to smack me across the face, but I'm quick to grab hold of her hand; hanging it in the air.

"Don't. You. Dare."

I growl, and I can feel the anger that radiates off her.

She jerks her hand away from my grasp, and head back towards the packhouse while I turn towards the forest, walking further in.

The wind blows between the trees, having me hug my body tighter to myself, reminding me of the flimsy material I'm in.

Why do they want to meet me here anyway? Why not back at the packhouse? Is there a special occasion or something?

I cuss under my breath as I walk deeper into the forest, eyes scanning around in search of tall frames as the sound of birds chirping fills the air.

I groan as I trip over something, and I bend, soothing my finger over the injured toe.

I lift my head, and my breathing stops when nothing but complete darkness glares back at me. Turning back in my stand, the packhouse is no longer visible to my sight, and my heart pounds loudly against my chest with no sight of The Alpha King, Rio, or Alpha Eric.

Where the fuck are they?! This better not be what I'm thinking!

I start to walk back towards the direction of the packhouse, only to stop in my tracks when I hear the snap of a twig.

My inner senses kick in, and I listen to the feet that rustle against the dried grass. They are not exactly feet, but I know there's someone, or rather something here.

Judging by the scent that I pick off, it's something very big, and I only know of one thing with that size around here. Wolves. And they are not familiar wolves.

I limp towards the direction of the packhouse with the echoes of my heart beating so fast sounding so loud in my air.

I scream, and scurry back when a black wolf with bright glowing eyes appear before me, and when I try to run in the opposite direction; another jumps before me.

And as I turn around in my stand, I realise.

I'm surrounded.
