ISBERLT.

I stand before eyes that once judged me, and I believe are still doing, with hands that have been raised against me, and mouths that have uttered words is disgust to me with my heart pounding against my chest.

Moving my gaze across the room; I easily find Rio next to one of the scary-looking Alpha, and he raises his thumbs at me with a smile—encouraging me.

Returning his smile, my gaze moves to the Alpha King standing beside him, and I nod at him to signify that I'm ready.

He responds with a nod before raising from his seat, and walking towards the rest of the Alphas.

"Isberlt. Are you ready to provide us with everything we need about the Sera?" He questions, and I nod, before saying, "I'm ready to enlighten you on the research I've made. I never knew of the creation, so I don't know the entirety of its process, but so far, what I've got should help. "

"Then proceed, " he spreads his arm towards the rest of the council, and I nod before moving to stand at the centre with my laptop in hand.

"At first, I thought the Sera was only meant to kill the wolves, provided it was laced with a powerful chemical that's capable of doing that. It would slowly eat them up from inside, and trap them in their beast, losing all forms of control. But then it got weird, " I gaze down at the laptop, and the words that stare back at me from across the screen. The big revelation. What doctor Zion was planning all these while, and if I'm right about this theory... Then that man is far more dangerous than I ever thought.

"Where did it get weird?" Theodore's voice pulls me out of my thoughts, and I hum before turning back to the rest of the council.

"I knew something was off. Why will Doctor Zion go through all those troubles just to kill them? Why make them die slowly when he could just do that instantly? Why have a pack of wolves he experiments on, when he could have had them killed the minute he got hold of them? It didn't make sense. Then it finally occurred to me, " I have to say. He's smart with what I think he's come up with. If I'm right, which is about ninety-nine per cent out of a hundred. "He didn't want to kill them. He wanted to control them. "

I finally let out the words, and low growls of anger erupt in the air.

"What do you mean he wanted to control them?" Eric asks, silencing the rest of them.

"The Sera was not only made to kill them slowly from the inside? Why do you think he trapped them in their beast form, and made them incapable of decision making?" I lift my brows at them, and Rio raises from his seat at that.

"I see it! Oh, that fucking bastard. With them unable to control their decisions, he could have them do whatever he wants. They would be under his control, and listen to anything he tells them. He will be their master, and they will worship him. " He concludes, and I nod with a snap of my fingers.

"That's exactly what it is. But why he does this is what I do not know. Why dominate over them? What exactly does he want? Why will he..."

"He's trying to make us his fucking slaves!" An alpha I recognize to be the one who almost killed me at the moonball party says with a scowl directed at me for a reason I'm not too sure about.

I know you hate me, but like... Back the fuck off.

"Yes! He's trying to turn us into puppets that he would have at his command. We will have no fucking idea what we are doing, and we'll be under his command. I refuse to be under a filthy human command!" Another one roars, supporting the first one, and I slowly back away from them; moving to stand beside the Alpha King.

"All these is your fault, slave!" The third one growls, with a finger pointed at me, and I bite down on my tongue to halt the harsh words that are about to slip through my parted lips.

This is not the time to be stubborn, Isberlt. Just keep your mouth shut.

"If you hadn't stepped foot into their world, then this won't be happening! How can we be so sure you didn't help them?" Oh, God! Here we go with this again.

"You shouldn't blame her. She just explained the whole process of the danger that's coming ahead, and we should be working towards a solution; not fighting against each other. " Rio speaks, standing up for me, and the alpha next to him shakes his head.

"Of course you want to support her, Beta. That's the only thing you do nowadays after being offered her little dirty cunt, uh? You no longer know your duty towards the pack, and that's the fact that your pack fucking comes first before any other!"

Don't lose control, Isberlt. Don't lose control.

"Okay, that's fucking enough, Andrew! No more! You've already said more than enough!" Eric bangs his palm against the desk, silencing the irrational Alpha, but it's only for a second before he speaks again.

"I will speak when I've got things to say, Eric, and you will not stop me! I have every right to speak as much as you do. I am an Alpha, and you will not disrespect me. " He spats, and I roll my eyes. An Alpha, indeed. You're barely acting like one, man.

"No one is disrespecting you, Andrew, and no one is asking you not to speak, but you're making false accusations against the innocent, and that has to stop. I will not sit by, and watch you insult her any further than you already did. "

Andrew scoffs with a shake of his head; his gaze moving towards me, and I see it all. The anger that blazes in those eyes for me, and the hatred flaring through them... Directed at me.

"She's brainwashed you. All of you! Right below us!" He stomps his feet against the concrete, "Are wolves that have been forced against their will by a human she once worked with. Why you think she's innocent is fucking beyond me. For all you know, this might be a scheme of hers to get out of here, and return to..."

I'm about to speak, but another voice stronger than mine cuts through the air; halting all their words.

"Enough!" Theodore snaps, followed by a roar; one that sounds so fucking inhumane, and I know his wolf has taken over.

They all stand still, staring at a particular spot, and I turn in my stand; flinching when I'm met with a view of an enormous black wolf.

Oh, my fúcking Hades! That's his wolf? He's so fucking big!

He's literally half the size of me, and he's staring at me! Oh my god! Why is he staring at me?

The silence stretches in the air as Theodore's wolf stalks towards me, and I freeze in my stand; my heart pounding hard against my chest.
