CHAPTER 52
Draft/ Not edited~
HECTOR- 28
AURORA- 25
XANDER- 22
Silver irises were molten platinum mirrors of the soul when he had stared at her with such intensity that made an unspoken request that he wished to be left alone. Hector at that moment was insecure and vulnerable, looking between her and Xander as if the entire situation was straight out of a drama.
He did not convey it in words yet those eyes told that somewhere deep down, in the darkest corner of his heart he was burning with a question: In this play of life, Aurora was the female protagonist and according to how sacred she was, Xander was perfect to be her male counterpart....then who was he?
He was a villain, the antagonist.
And the moment Xander compared Hector with Gregory Asis, the angelic aura was as if dipped in tar ink, Hector's entire being was wounded, all that pain coming back in full force that he had buried deep under his skin, the man turned around looking at Xander with incredulous eyes as if he could not believe his ears but before the trembling lips could utter a single syllable a melodic voice replaced his own in so such rage that the drunk man who was smirking felt a bucket of cold water was being poured on him and all the alcohol consumed now seemed to leave its effects.
"How foolish, Mr Asis carries so much envy in his heart yet not an ounce of common sense to distinguish that he is at the end of the day only an outsider who knows nothing what he is talking about." Aurora had sensed the room earlier thus agreed to leave yet since she had left her phone in the place there was no other option than to return and for what? To listen to the tragic past being used to manipulate the one she wished to protect from all evils.
Hector considered himself a villain then so it be, in this life she will follow along the villain only and change the story to the one she wished to write.
"W-What did you say?"
"How much Mr Asis knows about Hector? For a person to compare him with that monster, you surely are ill-informed." Those words were graceful and the manner was utterly elegant, yet the more calm Aurora looked, the more Xander had a face of a lowly person.
"I am his brother! Do you know who I am-"
"I certainly am. Xander Asis, the CEO of Asiatics and 6 year younger than his stepbrother Hector Valadros. A person who did not have a penny to his name yet now considers himself a bigshot since he was given a property belonging to someone whom he considers lower than himself. " The man about whom the entire fiasco was about did not speak anything and just stared at her with irises that were crumbling and yet brightened.
Xander on the other hand was so furious that no words left his mouth for a moment.
"Have you been there with him? Do you know about him? How dare you.." The seething tone was greeted with sweet laughter.
"I have been there Xander, saw him at his worst but always was aware that he was the best.
I have been there when he cried and was there when I did, beside him.
Was there even in hatred and there in desire and need.
Hector is not Gregory Asis since he does not manipulate and plays with people's mind......that is who you are."

Midnight brought the calm after the tsunami had passed. Hector sat on the bed with his face all pink looking at the cup in his hand filled with warm milk having floating chocolate chips on the surface. There were teddy shaped cookies and colorful cupcakes that seemed to have appeared out of nowhere.
He looked at the cookie and then at the door from where Aurora had disappeared off to, it was only for a moment before she brought in a strawberry cake with herself.
"Are you a magician? Where are you getting these from?!" Aurora blinked at the man for a moment before opening her mouth.
"My friend brought all of this since she was passing by."
"B-But the shops must have closed down by now." When he tilted his head looking at her as if waiting for her to answer, the mafia princess melted down.
"Ah well.....the shop owners know me."
"But they have the best confectionary in the city so they must be busy-" A spoonful of cake was inserted into the mouth of the man who was not allowed to ask any more. Seconds passed and the man just looked at the woman he was obsessed with.
"Aurora do not...do not get mistaken by my harmless appearance, you don't have to do all this for me....I am not worthy of such compassion."
"Are you refusing my feelings for yourself?" Hector whose lashes were bowing down fluttered in astonishment as the silvers clashed with pools of chocolate.
Callused trembling palm was held by her dainty hands and brought to her cheek as she nuzzled into it.
"Am I not pretty enough...do you hate me for being as such?" The teasing was there but then the voice also contained so much emotion as she hoped that he would hold her near his heart.
"How can you....how can you even think like that..you are the most beautiful woman in this entire world for me Aurora. I-I can never reject you....lord how can I ever...."The man stumbled across his words yet held the fragile wrists and pressed a kiss against them before he burrowed his head in her neck.
"Please don't hate me Aurora......please keep me by your side."

The guards standing outside shuddered as the princess's demand was getting more and more eccentric day by day. The ones meant to have guns strapped in their belt were holding take away Chinese noodles with extra soy sauce and some chocolate bars just in case. Parking the car outside the villa they dialed the call.
"Bring strawberry cake and some cookies too."
The guard who had previously brought a cake just in case felt like the world was conquered.
