CHAPTER 58

Their love was never truly innocent when it began. Aurora was intensely attracted to Hector, who was the epitome of evil, yet she was never like all those females that thought he will change for her, it wasn't the demand in the first place....because she felt lust and anger radiating for his devious self.
On the contrast, Hector was drawn to her radiating self-righteousness and felt that she was his savior...that he would do anything to have her- his salvation. In past they could have never thought that all of it will come to this.
"I never intended to lie to you." Aurora had been excited for today's date yet upon reaching Hector's house the atmosphere was serious and one thing lead to another.
"Yet you never really intended to tell me the truth in the first place."
The silence that prevailed was louder than any of their voices might have been. Silver serene irises looked at Aurora and kept their burning gaze planted there without any more words.
".....If you would have told me about yourself earlier, I might have gotten the chance to express my gratitude and maybe we would have never been separated in the first place. If you have followed me for so many years as my shadow then why did you disappear later.....or was I, a charity case to you Aurora?
You bestowed your grace upon me and then thought to stop getting bothered, did you wish for me to go far away and have my own life? If I wouldn't have approached you, were you never intending to reach out to me......did you mean to let me go with anyone else."
With his every step forward the mafia princess was forced to take a step back before muscular arms clutched her shoulders.
"I never- I could never Hector-"
"You have hurt me. Why?" Pearl-like glimmering tears glistened in those platinum irises as Hector closed his eyes and nuzzled into Aurora's palm that she had kept on his face so as to soothe his pain.
"You were not a charity case Hector......you were the person I developed foreign and forbidden feelings for. I initially helped in sorting out the criminal charges that were on you, I would have never intervened if I did not believe in you or if I thought that your actions were immoral.
About me telling you about myself then, I could not have done that. As the heir to the mafia throne, me and my brother Ares maintain a very low profile, we cannot make friends outside mafia families since our identities are at stake.
In your case, I had been too immature and told the cops who I am. My brother for that matter had to stay behind in Italy and do proper surveillance of those men who came to know, if our information falls into wrong hands there are many that dream to harm us.
And about me not telling you now.....do you really want to know who I am?"
Hector earlier thought that Aurora sure must have had her reasons but did not even in his wildest dreams imagined them to be so strong that even he could not refute that the steps she took were necessary. He had never believed Xander and now his conscience just could point out why.
"S-So you liked me too right? You aren't playing games Aurora, are you?"
He had imagined meeting her mother and trying his best to impress his mother-in-law, then had thought deeply to meet her father and being threatened. His head had all those kinds of scenarios and he wanted them to come true.
Aurora upon listening to Hector sighed and went on her tiptoes to cup his face, then pulled his face down and pressed a kiss to his chin. Lips sweeter than honey trailed from chin to his cheek, venturing to his eyelid and pressing a butterfly kiss there.
"I love you Hector and I really want to be with you. My identity-"
"I don't care then If you feel uncomfortable now.....I don't want to know that, just love me okay? Let's have a deal, you love me and don't leave me plus no lying and I will cook, clean, wash and do everything for you."
Aurora laughed heartily at that and then embraced Hector.
"One day Hector I will tell you my entire truth, can you please wait for it?" Frail palm with blue sapphire was taken to his lips by those clumsy masculine palms as Hector pressed a long kiss.
"Would eternity suffice?"
Aurora could not say anymore and thus simply smiled while thinking something, both of them have encountered many obstacles yet finally, their bond was strong enough to overcome all of them now all she wanted was them to be closer.
"You would look so cute while cooking.....why don't you have a cooking competition with my brother. He has far superior skills, even better than a chef."
Hector smiled and shook his head when he felt the mushy feeling melting his heart before the movement of the neck stopped with his expression freezing.
"Did you.....did you just invite me to your house?"
"I cannot say I didn't. Day after tomorrow I will take you to my house to see mom and dad and later in the evening my brother and sister-in-law, Rose will also join us for a dinner. My dad has invited you Hector....would you like to come? To be honest, I was going to tell you about my parents today since father said that I must bring my boyfriend for him to meet."
"I will do whatever you like Aurora."
