~Anika~

I can see the shadow of one the guards who was probably roaming around to hit his hand around any one he comes across skipping lectures like me. Like her?

One snatch at her hand and I was dragging her inside, gently clicking the door shut to not arose suspicion from the guard's end.

As her hand went on her neck probably not expecting that, I hit her with the who are you again.

She's saying she's my classmate when it ain't anyone's face I attend lectures to go and look at. Other than Erica who I only got to know because of her oh-so-high ego and rushing mouth, I don't know anyone of these people.

"I'm Mabel and I know you might not know." She explained. "I ran out of a room to hide since my dorm is at the last floor and since I knew you're inside…"

That was how I quit scrunching up my face. I can't hear her. What did she say?

"How did you know?" I whispered quietly. I made sure sneaking in and out were done without anyone in sight but could I have missed her? Crap.

"Of course because I saw you and you didn't." She shrugged indifferently and walked past me to take in my room. I could have stopped her if she hadn't said, "Your room is just as small as smile." piquing my overall interest.

"You can take your seat on that wooden chair or rather on the floor." I evilly stated as I sat down stopping her from doing the same as me.

She nodded not quit surprised as she complied.

She resolved into looking around my room like someone detective who's failed to derive the necessary evidence, while I straight out stared at her face, keeping a hand at akimbo on my waist.

She's pretty. Her face a really perfect structure, nothing is missing and I can say I'm jealous of her.

This was the first time a person will approach me- I won't be including Erica cause that one isn't even human- and I feel amused and surprised.

I couldn't chase her out of my room either because I guess I could use some company.

If she rats me out, I do the same do her. I don't know the meaning of mercy.

"How are you doing?"

She met my eyes and I looked at her without a word. What's she driving at? That's the first time someone will ask me such.

It's ridiculous but even my birth parents, I've never heard the four words come out of their mouth at me. They must hate me that much- which they will always deny, but it ain't their fault.

"Don't ask me." I rudely said.

I don't want to make the atmosphere awkward for us but she's giving me no choice. How will the response feel to my mouth? Foreign? I bet.

"Sorry." She laughed while I scoffed not finding anything funny.

"I always knew you were like this but you doing it to me directly makes you even more cuter." She complimented not minding I didn't fancy anyone saying those things to me.

Is she saying all this out of boredom or she wants to see me tick?

"Stop at that or I won't hesitate to throw you into those men's arm." I told her, pointedly at the door and she raised her arms in surrender.

"I didn't mean to. I just meant to say the obvious—"

"Stand up and start going." I moved towards her. If I let her stay any more minutes I'm going to lose control of myself, I can feel a tiny blush raising on my cheeks that any more and it'd bloom.

I'm not letting her turn me into something I never was. I'm different from other girls and she should understand that.

"I won't speak anymore for real." I tried snatching her out of her seat but she was more stronger than I can imagine. Hissing through my teeth, I blew hot and left her to reoccupy my position on the bed.

She truly stopped speaking to me and I wonder why it got me angry. Was I too harsh on me? Well it ain't my fault, she knew that yet the only room she could enter was mine.

Something caught my interest. If truly all the girls in this school views master Xander as the most handsome in here, why is… Mabel skipping his class?

"Why are you here?"

"Why are you skipping today's lecture?" We both asked at the same time, our questions clashing.

"I asked first." She inputted and if only she can press her mouth close and stop smiling at me.

I met her smile with one of my very own frown, "I am because I am sick, can't you see?"

"I see nothing." She shook at me.

"Still seeing nothing?" I flared my arms for her to check me out only for to squint her eyes and still shake her head negatively, "You should go for an urgent eye test, Mabel darling."

"If you weren't lying perhaps I could have considered." She sheepishly laughed, once again.

I cocked a brow back at her.

"It's nothing really. I just didn't want to go because I don't want to see…" she paused blushing hard and looking here and there as if looking for whether she should trust me with her long time buried secret.

"Master Xander?" I bit in curiousity. Is it positive we are here for the same reason?

"Master Xander? No. Not him." She said only to look at me and become so serious, "Is he the reason you're here?"

I didn't answer her. "Don't answer my question with question, ma'am."

"Okay, it's Jordan." She leaned forward from where she is and mumbled in a whispery tone. I'm no relationship expert but I can see the way her eyes lits up at the mention of name.

She didn't attend the lecture because of Jordan? Wait a minute, wasn't he the playboy guy I saw at the hallway with different ladies flanked at his sides weeks back?
