~Erica~

It's been a week since I've seen Anika after the deal we both had. Although she did her end of the deal, I fumbled and messed things up.

I mean I couldn't even speak out my mind to Xander and tell him why was the reason he served Anika the good meal after supporting not so long in class.

Cringe right? That was how I felt and had to tell him we were just pranking him, he almost got mad at me but I pretended I was taking a call and went away.

I don't want to think about how Anika will feel knowing what I asked for her to do ended up being baseless.

I noticed her absence on Wednesday; another of Master Xander's class and wasn't relieved even though I should be.

I had to stop myself from thinking about her too.

"Don't you think you're gawking too much though? You're making it pretty much obvious." I heard Melissa say beside me. The rest of our friends nodded in agreement.

"I can't help but stare and that's it. You can't see how handsome and well sculptured he is?" I threw back at them.

"That isn't a new thing. We just mean you shouldn't make the whole class aware of what's going on with you. It could turn into a big thing." Cassandra inputted.

They are right but who said I had to listen?

If only they knew how it is to be reaching for something so high you hand might never reach. I can't do this alone and that's the main reason I have been ranting to my father and I hope he interferes soon.

Before I lose my mind, that is.

"Why isn't the new girl here today? Wasn't she punctual?" Cassandra looked over at Linda and asked.

"Let's ask Erica, I've been seeing them together lately." Linda replied her with jealousy.

"You guys you should calm down shouldn't you?" I shook my head disbelievingly, "You all know my worth and that's the reason only the three of you alone can ever be my friends and that's because you're almost in the same level as me. She? Anika? I think you all should know that isn't possible."

I can never be friends with her no matter what.

My friends looked relieved too like they were scared for a second but I only wanted to kick their butts, for degrading me thinking I was going to stoop that low?

Since I have been here, many girls would want to throw themselves in our friend group but I leave Cassandra and co to go the chasing because they can't be in the same level as me.

Same thing with Anika.

I might be seen with her often but that's because of what I want from her. She's just like a use and dump for me, to be pick up whenever I need her.

She might be wanting to refuse me but a little flash of tempting offer and she'd be licking my feet in no time.

"I was thinking I was finally going to lose you to someone else. But when you came to pour your heart to me on…" Melissa had blabbered halfway before she realized the calamity she just caused.

"You went to her?" The others same time and I nodded my head at them.

"You expect me to come to your floor when the guards are always roaming about? Of course it has to me Lisa since her room is the nearest to mine." I internally rolled my eyes at them.

They can get angry at Melissa but never me, they can behind my back though, that's none of my business.

I am the one who has the say, I can choose to discard them if I so wish.

"What is going on there?" I didn't even know Linda's jealousy had turned into a noise until the voice of master Xander roared in the classroom, and everyone was silenced.

"I'm sorry, sir." I stoned her a look and she quickly rose up bowed and apologized. She knows what I don't like but here it is, she's making him having to shout.

I don't care if she was the last of these three to join friend group, I can choose chase make her the first to be out of the circle too.

The class went back to normal, when it finally ended I was storming off and none of the students dare fall into steps with me.

I can feel my friends running to catch up with me including loud Linda who couldn't find any better thing to do with her voice than yelp and yelp.

"A detailed explanation of how my visit to Melissa turned into a big noise in the classroom when we all agreed the class knowing about anything pertaining to the topic wasn't good?!"

I wiped around with a flaring nose.

"It's not like that, I promise. I was just trying to reason with Cassandra and I wasn't trying to yell. I didn't know I was shouting until he calmed me to notice." Linda filled with her fingers.

"You don't know? Should it even be a knew thing to you when you're the loudest in class? You should have just kept mute at least, baby girl." Cassandra said.

"Will you all guys keep it down for a while, I think Erica doesn't want another argument—" Melissa tried to make them stop.

She's right, I don't want an argument but I can also ledbe them to it without batting an eye and let them continue their barking since that's what they find so much passion in.

"I'm out of here." I said and cat walked away, slinging my hang bag over my shoulder as I walked the way to the dorm.

I simply changed my clothes when I reached my room; a pink colored large room that snatched everyone's attention.

It's one of the largest rooms here as per the daughter of whom I am. I have heard of now the students once complained about their beds being too small you can tip over it right from slumber.

I talk lunch and was scrolling through our friend chat group when I saw they are still bickering and arguing with themselves all because of a simple visit Melissa could have also kept her mouth sealed over.

I would have insulted her if I hadn't thought back to the little comfort she provided me in that same room of hers.

I exited the messaging app and located my gallery where there's the only one picture of him, Xander.
