Everyone was present at Euphoria's birthday, even Lucien came and apologized but the only man from whom Medusa didn't even heard a single word was Zion.
'Hey babygirl" When Rhysand cane behind Medusa covering her with a thick coat he couldn't help but feel her shivering body and pull her close to his chest.
'It has been so long Rhy and I have finally found my peace. I have forgiven dad but the close feelings have almost disappeared filled with nothing but a faint disappointment.
But still I want to meet him, want to see what he has to say and for the past few days I thought that he would come to meet our daughter…..his granddaughter but it looks like I was wrong." Medusa sighed looking at the moon and remembering the father who she had mixed feeling for.

'You cannot change the world precious princess, just adapt yourself accordingly. He will come when he wants to, things will happen with their time. Please don't worry too much." Rhysand pulled Medusa towards himself embracing her in his hold after before picking her up to go to sleep.
Zion watched the shadows of the people surrounding him. He had long left the capital city and instead came to a village in the north region. It is daytime and there were commoners doing their daily work, some sold pottery in the market under the canopy of trees, there were people who sold grains, farmers and artisans there was almost all type of job evidently present and the most important of them was woodcutting because it not only earned good amount of money but also very few people had the courage to go the monstrous woods and bring out sagnoia wood to cut.
When he first arrived he was almost dead, the words of his daughter weighing on his soul, she left her mate and everything in order to return as a better person. When has he damaged her to this extent?

It is Medusa's destiny or it might be said a blessing upon her that she got Rhysand as a mate because if not then what had he taught her that could preserve her soul..what if her mate was someone messed up like him, he had never taught her to stand up for her and she would have taken his wrongdoing too.
