Chapter 38

**Nova**

When we arrive at wherever Aziel has taken me Charles is there as well.

“What-“

“I thought since the dragon has had his time with our mate that it was time to show her what we’ve been working on before you guys leave.” Aziel tells Charles.

“What is this place?” I ask.

“It’s your room.” Aziel says proudly.

I step away from him and turn to see the entirety of the room. It looks like the dug out the center of a huge tree and built a room inside. There are branches weaved through the room to create nooks for storage and there is a second opening that looks to lead into a bathroom. Flowers are blooming in random sections and I’m not sure how they managed it, but there is a small waterfall on one wall as well. I walk over to the small pool the waterfall is falling into and see colorful fish swimming around and even a few frogs.

It’s so odd but also the coolest thing I’ve ever seen!

“This is…all so beautiful. I don’t think I could have ever thought of having a room like this.” I turn to face my two Mage mates and walk toward them and pull both of them into a hug. “I love it. Thank you.”

They each wrap an arm around me, and I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been mating so much in the last few days, but the simple touch of this hug has my body heating up. I don’t think they will be able to sense it since they aren’t a shifter or Succubus, but either way I should put space between us. I do catch a glance at my bed over their shoulders and that doesn’t help at all.

It looks so soft! It’s huge and looks like it’s covered with very soft blankets and there are tons of pillows. It’s calling for me to cuddle into it and sleep for a week. Which is impossible with everything we still need to do. I hope when the time comes and we all make it out alive that we can settle down and actually enjoy this home.

“If this is my room…how big is this place?” I ask them.

Aziel smirks and grabs my hand. He tugs me over to a door and pulls it open. There is a stair case, you guessed it, made of wood. He leads me down them and we end up on another floor.

“This is the second floor and where all our rooms are.”

This floor is similar in shape to mine, a circular shape and there are doors all along the wall. The house must look massive on the outside. Wouldn’t that make us a target? There would be no way someone wouldn’t be able to spot a giant tree house especially from the air.

“There are rooms for our future little ones as well.” He points to a row of doors behind the stairs. “They have their own staircase that connects to your room as well.”

Wow!

“Down here is the main floor.” The staircase continues down in the center of the room.

I follow behind him again until we reach the bottom floor. Same as the others, it’s circular and has several doorways but without any doors on them.

“This way is the kitchen.” He leads me to the first doorway, and I see Eli cooking inside.

Wait…when did he get here?

“This is the living room area.” The next room is huge with large couches, and a TV on the wall. “This is the bathroom.”

This room does have a door but it’s very large as well. There are actually several smaller rooms with their own doors inside.

“There are individual stalls with their own toilets. That was more than one person can use the bathroom and still have complete privacy.”

Smart.

“So, what do you think?” He asks.

I’m a little lost for words. “It’s incredible, but won’t it be too visible? I mean it’s huge.”

“That’s the best part. Come on.” He leads me to a section of the wall that is blank. “Press your hand here.”

I place my hand on a small darker section of wood. When I do there is a ripple of color that slowly makes a door appear.

“Only we can access the entrance to the house. Our individual biometrics are added to the house’s energy, and it will only open to us.” He explains.

He pushes the door open, and I follow him outside. Once we’re out I turn to look at the house and gasp at what I see.

“How?” I ask because that’s all I can manage to get out.

“Charles and I working together, our abilities are practically limitless.” He says but that’s definatly a simple explanation for what they’ve done.

The tree looks like a regular sized tree from the outside and blends perfectly with the trees surrounding it.

“This is amazing. What happened to the old house?”

“We’ll keep it there as a security post. Each of us will take turns keeping an eye out for any more portals or attacks. It will also prove as a distraction as well.”

“I guess you guys thought of everything then.”

“If there is anything you want to change just let me know and we can fix it.” He sounds a little worried, but he has no reason to be.

“It’s perfect the way it is Aziel.” I move toward him and wrap him in a hug again.

He makes a humming sound and rests his head on mine.

“Charles says you should take another day or two before going on your trip. You still seem to be healing.”

I look up at him confused. “I’m fine. We can leave now if he wanted.”

His eyes are fixed on mine and there is a warmth there that I haven’t seen in him before. He is always so playful and now he looks almost like he’s hurting.

“Can we not persuade you? Charles and I have not shared a night with you yet.”

Oh, I see now. They want to mate as well.

“I suppose I should bond with all my mates before leaving.”

He reaches up and brushes a strand of hair from my face. “You don’t need to to do anything you don’t wish to, but even if we only slept I would like to be with my mate.”

I swallow at the sincerity and need in his words. Who am I to deny him such a small request?

“Okay. I’d like that.”

He smiles again but this one isn’t his usual playful one. This one is sincere and genuinely happy. I think I like this smile the most.

“Come on. Let’s start our one-on-one time now. Unless you want Charles to join us.” I say and he makes a face at the suggestion.

“I do not want to share time with my mate and have him lurking around. He’ll put a damper on all our fun.” He winks at me, and I shake my head.

“Okay then.”

He keeps his arm secure around me and pulls us through a portal and back into my room. Charles is working on something and doesn’t seem to notice us return.

“Charles old boy! Our mate wishes to have time alone with me, you’ll have to finish your project somewhere else.” Aziel calls out.

Charles lifts his head and looks between us. “I see. Of course, I will give you time, but I will need my time with our mate tomorrow. Is that acceptable?”

I smile at him and move to stand directly in front of him. He looks down at me and I lift myself up on my toes slightly and place a soft kiss to his lips. When I move back his eyes have shifted in color and it makes me shiver.

“That is more than acceptable. I look forward to it.” He nods.

I expect him to leave right away but one of his fingers tucks under my chin and he leans down to cover my lips with his. I immediately melt into his touch and cling onto his shirt. The kiss is soft and painfully slow but I can feel electricity dance through my veins and my head starts to feel fuzzy and light. Then he’s gone. I blink my eyes open and look around me but there’s no sign of him.

“Bloody wanker.” Aziel grumbles.

Charles has churned up the heat in my belly and only Aziel is left to fill the need. He must see my desperation for more in my eyes because he smirks and raises a brow at me.

“Do you need something little mate?” He asks.

“I need you.” I say breathlessly.
