Chapter 32

Darwin’s POV

“Minerva is sleeping soundly in my car after our two rounds. Too bad we can’t get beyond that. See for yourself.”

The God of Anger seemed to possess me with every word that the bastard sent to me, especially when Kevin read it in a deep voice that seemed to resemble the voice of Gyzell’s brother.

“Seriously, dude. It looks like she’s just casually sleeping in his car,” said Kevin.

“So you’re now against your bestfriend, huh?” I challenged. Kevin snorted, as if this was all just a joke.

            “I’m serious, Kevin.”

“Yeah, yeah. Of course you are. That’s your new name.” I stood and he immediately backed away.

“Calm down, Darwin!” I sat back on the chair again, muttering an apology in front of the bartender. The bar has so many customers right now, and my head aches even more.

“Okay, let me explain to you bro…” He pointed at my phone, to where the picture of her was indeed sleeping. “If he and Minerva really did that in the car, why is that her hair is still fixed smoothly? Why didn't her clothes show any sign of wrinkles or being grabbed? You know that when people do it on the walls of their car, they will definitely be outrageous. And judging from my investigative skills…” I snorted, as if he didn’t flunked at Criminology. That’s the reason why he resorted to managing the Gray Co. anyway. “Minerva just recently arrived at his car and maybe he offered her a ride and Minerva, perhaps tired or just pondering, closed her eyes that eventually made her slept.”

“And do you think I believe you?”

“I didn’t force you to believe me. I just gave my insights on why you should believe me.”

“Wise man, huh?” He was still holding that sheepish grin.

            “Aye aye, Captain Darwin!”

Kevin and I clink our beers. I was about to bring the beer onto my lips when I spotted that hideous woman that caused Minerva to run away.

“Gyzell…” I uttered her name that made Kevin quickly turn around to where I was looking.

The way he looked at her, stared at her…I knew then. Some feelings are best spoken in a silent manner.

But as they say, revenge is a dish best served cold.

“Kevin…” His eyes were still on that wretched woman that I had only thrusted once, during a drunken night. “Make her drunk.”

Kevin immediately whipped his head to me. “What?”

“Make Gyzell drunk. And then filmed her as the two of you did it.” I don’t know what made me think of that. Maybe because I was angry, or because of the beer, or perhaps due to a headache that even clawed deeper in my brain.

“Go now.” I urged Kevin. He stood, then sat again. I can clearly see his hesitation.

“This is wrong brother.” Kevin only used that endearment to me when he’s so desperate.

“I know,” I answered. “That’s why I want you to do that to her, Lushan’s sister, so that we can exact our vengeance.

“We? I—” I shot him a look that made him just close his mouth.

Kevin shook his head. I cannot tell if it’s because of dismay or maybe because he didn’t expect me to do this, to command him to do that.

“Go,” my voice is now more commanding, more stern. More demanding.

I watched him stand and walked towards her. She pouted and frowned at first. But when Kevin put his hand on her back, it’s like watching an erotic romance movie about a one-night stand.

I finished my beer and was about to head outside when my phone beeped. It was a message—from Mariella, Minerva’s bestfriend.

“I forgot to tell you earlier but I just saw Lushan offering Minerva a ride after our coffee time. Hope you two will get well soon.”

            Damn. Kevin is indeed right.

Lushan is lying and I immediately fall into his trap. But before I can chase after Kevin and Gyzell, they have already vanished.

Right into the rooms where people usually feast on each other’s bodies.

Kevin’s POV

Darwin asked me to teach Lushan a lesson—by doing his sister.

It might sound weird, it might sound atrocious, but I will do it. Unless Gyzell says no.

            “You know your hand…handsome…Levine…”

“Kevin,” I clarified. “My name is Kevin.”

            “Right…” Gyzell breathed. “Devine...”

She is clearly drunk, considering that she’s using a straw in drinking a beer. Gosh, I’m crazy for this woman.

Her hair is luscious, the color of a moonless night. It was untied, yearning for me to grip it. Her lips are maven in color, not too pale. Probably it’s because of her lipstick or is it really the natural color of her lips. She has white skin, despite her Latina descent. She’s half Latina, and my heart beats faster when my eyes slid down into her blouse. The first three buttons are unbuttoned, she has declared earlier that it’s hot in here. Little did she know that I didn’t turn on the air conditioner. I forgot about it as my mind is too busy admiring her bed-perfect figure, and the fact that I am one of the victims of love at first sight—three years ago.

I tilted my head and grabbed the glass of liquor from her hand. I can’t risk making this VIP room untidy. I heard that their luxurious and intricate carpets are brought from Turkey.

            “Gyzell?”

            She didn’t answer.

“Gyzell?” I made my voice louder, firmer. “Do you want to go to bed?”

Well, it’s the question I threw at her as it can be ambiguous. She can sleep atop the bed, and I can also put her to bed—while both of us unclothed. Dancing in a rhythm where our bodies are the only ones who know the movements; our sensual moans serving as the music that accompanies our convergence.

“Hmmm….” It was the only thing she said. She softly moaned as I lifted her from the couch. Though a bit guilty, I tell myself that it’s my CEO that ordered me this—to serve as a  revenge and as a way to find out if this woman is really carrying Darwin’s child.

Gyzell even said yes, so it’s called a consensual one.

I placed my tie on the table, then I unbuttoned my suit.

My eyes are still on her body as I threw the very last of my clothes on the floor.

Then, slowly but surely, I began undressing her.

Darwin’s POV

The devil who goes by the name of Lushan Angeles owns the club, this club that I am drinking at. And to where his sister and Kevin are probably jackhammering by now.

Ten seconds later, I erupted—like a dormant volcano that had never erupted for years. Anger devoured me, rage guided my fist in his face. I am swimming in the sea of envy that I couldn’t even breathe properly. They say love is blind. But anger…it has no eyes at all. It just bites anyone’s head off that made it trigger.

He punched me back. Good. I don’t want to fight with a chicken man who only knows how to screw women but has no balls.

It had been a long time since my nose bleed, since I made someone else’s nose bleed.

I grunted, struggling to stand again. Wiping my nose with my bare hands seems to be nostalgic for me. Damn, college days indeed.

I swing my other fist into Lushan’s face. He docked, avoiding my left hand’s punch.

But he never saw my right one coming.

And it landed straight to his nose.

It was a  knockdown. He was holding his nose like how he held his cock when it was kicked by a woman with heels.

And, just like I thought, I indeed kicked him where his dick is resting. Too bad I’m not a woman with sharp heels.

The people stared at me. Some threw curse words, some whispered to their companions, and some…didn't even take their eyes off from their dates and food.

I don’t care if I'll be banned from this bar. As long as someone touches the woman I possessed, one will always get his egg cracked.

Just like what I did to Lushan Angeles.
