Chapter 35
Kevin’s POV
The weather is cloudy outside.
But for me, it’s like the sun has never left my soul.
There she is, sitting on the very corner of this fine dining restaurant, wearing beauty as always. She’s wearing a ruby blouse with a garnet brooch and blue fitting jeans. Her belt glints like diamond as the light of the chandelier cast upon it.
But Gyzell herself is more than any jewel. She’s a diamond in the rough.
I inhaled and exhaled, then proceeded to walk towards her. A waiter bowed before me and I requested a bottle of champagne for two on table fourteen. He said the young lady had already ordered a bottle of rose wine, along with two wine glasses.
Rose wine…. I thought. She is now the one who proclaimed this meeting as a date. A freaking, sweet-with-classical-music date.
I was wearing a simple plain white polo shirt. It looks sexy, at least according to my mother. I lied to her that I am finally dating someone. Well, it seems my lie is not so much far from coming true as she turned her head on me.
I smiled at her from a distance. Gyzell just crossed her arms, pouting her crimson-color lips. I wonder how soft it is now if I rest my lips atop hers.
“What took you so long?” That’s the question she quickly throws at me even if I didn’t have the chance to fix my chair.
“I…I’m having second thoughts about bringing Darwin.”
Gyzell frowned on my lie. Damn, I couldn’t even count how many lies I’ve uttered this day, including the one that I told the receptionist that we’re having our first date so that we can get a discount.
This restaurant is offering discounts for first-time daters as sort of a holiday season gift. Heavens praise to whoever has thought of that marketing strategy.
“It’s a good thing you didn’t.”
Yeah…” I pretended to drink water so that I wouldn't look like a young boy who's more of an amateur at spitting lies than truths.
“Have you dropped by his office?”
I nodded. “Yeah. In fact, he wished me luck in our meeting.”
Her lips curled upwards. She uncrossed her arms and leaned closer to me, a few inches from my face. I can feel her warm breath that could’ve sent me an instant release just by the feeling of the tip of her breasts brushing on my arms. “You are clearly lying, Mr. Wolff.”
Speechless is the right word for me at this moment. I blinked. She smiled.
I blinked again, and this time, she poured me a glass of rose wine.
“The Gray family are at the beach now, including some of the employees. It’s their company outing.”
Shit, why could I forget that? But Darwin told me it will be moved next week…
He clearly left me so that I can be with her. It’s the second time around that he laid me frankly in front of her feet. Well, I’m not angry. I’m just a little embarrassed for my bestfriend leaving me out on a beach vacation so that I can be with a girl.
Darwin should be a matchmaker.
“So tell me, Kevin….What took you so long?”
My throat bobbed. She didn’t blink her eyes in anticipation of my answer. “I was busy looking at you.”
“”Oh?” She hoisted her brows. “I bet you already undressed me in your imagination, huh?” She said it as if she was just joking.
“I did.” She almost choked on the wine. “In fact, I am still on it now.”
I can see her cheeks turned red amidst her mocha skin.
Gyzell cackled. But it drowned as soon as the rhythm of the falling rain began to be heard.
We looked outside and the glass windows began to be steamy due to the cold weather. The two of us also begin to be a bit steamy here as well.
“I only did Darwin’s request because I did it for us. I loved you, Gyzell. And I always will.”
She knew what I’m talking about as soon as she moved a bit away from me. But, I inched closer.
I don’t care if I chase her. And to whom between us is the lion and the sheep, I simply don’t care.
“I just want you to carry my name, Gyzell…and our child,” I declared.

Gyzell’s POV
I can’t deny that Kevin is handsome.
In fact, I can’t resist him—I can't resist the urge to take him in one of the secret rooms of this lavish restaurant and make love with him.
Make love, not make fondue. Because the beating of our hearts also serves as the melody of the intricate movement of our undressed bodies.
I watched him walk towards me with a grin on his face. I tried so hard not to smile or I’ll end up French-kissing him in this luxurious place.
“What took you so long?” I asked with a voice of thunder, but not that could rattle the glasses. It’s like the voice of a wife demanding the whereabouts of her husband.
Damn, why am I thinking about this…
“I…I’m having second thoughts about bringing Darwin.” He answered with a shaking voice. Do I frighten him? Or is it because of the chilly temperature inside?
“It’s a good thing you didn’t.” I replied while circling my fingers on the mouth of the wine glass. It’s my excuse to sound and look more intimidating and in-charge of the situation, to show that I am more of an Alpha-like.
I know he's lying. I can smell his lies like the scent of a grilled steak that is frankly very redolent in my nose now.
“Have you dropped by his office?”
He nodded. “Yeah. In fact, he wished me luck in our meeting.”
Kevin is definitely not a good liar.
I curled my lips upwards while I uncrossed my arms. I leaned closer to him as I can no longer hide my excitement in getting near him, so much from keeping my feelings while facing my dream boy. I brushed the tip of my breasts on his arms. He smiled. Good.
At least I am not going to make a man my boyfriend because of his lack of sensual reaction to my flirting.
“You are clearly lying, Kevin.”
I glanced at the bulge, at the snack, between his thighs.
Perfect…I mused.
Smiling at him, I can see he is pretty speechless. As if his tongue has been bit off by my frank words.
I poured him a glass of rose wine while I talked. “The Gray family are at the beach now, including some of the employees. It’s their company outing.”
Silence just answered back at me. Well, it was his silence as the people around us are not so fond of the word ‘silence’. I can’t blame them, it’s lunch time anyway.
“So tell me, Kevin…” I asked, eager to squeeze him why he let me wait here for almost an hour. “What took you so long?”
“I was busy looking at you.” There, he said it. The words I know he will soon utter.
”Oh?” I couldn’t hide the heating of my cheeks. “I bet you already undressed me in your imagination, huh?”
“I did.” Gosh, this man made me almost choke on the wine.
“In fact, I am still on it now,” added Kevin.
I cackled, not because I am anxious, but because he’s no longer ashamed to lay his feelings on a platter before me.
We looked outside, to where the rain was pouring heavily.
“I only did Darwin’s request because I did it for us.” I blinked at his words; I almost forgot to breathe. “I loved you, Gyzell. And I always will.”
I moved a little away from him. I want him to chase me, go after me.
As I was anticipating, he inched closer. Closer.
“I just want you to carry my name, Gyzell,” Kevin breathed. “…and our child.”
Our food suddenly arrived, and I looked straight into the server’s eyes. “Can we have it taken out, please? I have something important to go to.”
Then I left. I went outside. Straight into the rain.
“Gyzell!” Kevin yelled out my name as if it was some sort of a sacred prayer. “Gyzell!”
I didn’t stop even if he called me twice, thrice. I kept walking towards where my car was parked, ignoring the pouring rain.
“Gyzell!” Then just as I was about to open my car, he grabbed my arm to face him.
I breathed in his warm breath. I feasted my eyes on his wet body, his white polo shirt didn’t make any difference in hiding his body from my eyes. Kevin is good as naked with the sky’s tears.
“You’re insane…” I murmured then brought my hand to his face into a slap, a powerful one. I am cold, and this setting of ours…it’s much colder.
“You’re insane for just telling me that now.”
Then, I kissed him.
And just like that, kisses turned to petting. Petting turned to necking. Necking turned to our bodies joining.
Here, in my very car, I did him. Naked, wet, and utterly, madly, deeply in love.
“Yes, Kevin.” I said as I was about to bring the tip of his meat between my mouth. “Yes, I shall be your lover.”
Then I swallowed him.
