Chapter 21
                    Kaiser Klef Solutions
I wore a bold black short dress with matching boots to meet Kaiser. The dress clung tightly to my abdomen and left nothing to the imagination. To increase the heat of my attire, I wore a matching set of black lacy undergarments. I didn’t know if Kaiser was going to toss me to the wolves today, but I had to be ready.
I didn’t forget my confidence as I stepped into the building. Recognising me, the male receptionist dialled the number to Kaiser’s floor. I learned that he had a special office on another floor.
“Miss Griselda would like to see you.”
I nodded and entered the elevator. There was nothing curious for me to find out about this woman who I clearly remembered as Kaiser’s partner in the plane. Probably she already knew about our hanky panky yesterday. However, I recalled how Kaiser wasn’t very nice with her on the flight. Would she take this injustice she suffered against me?
I told myself I had suffered more hardships than to be put down easily by anyone’s bullying. As I took a few long strides ahead, I saw Griselda. She made her presence known with a cough.
“Miss Taylor?”
“You can call me Piper.”
I looked maturely towards her. Griselda seemed to be a few years older than me, in her late twenties. She dressed fashionably in a tight jumper with heels, and she had pulled her hair in a high bun. She had a strong touch of sex appeal, yet, I knew from our previous encounter that Kaiser wasn’t interested in her, other than using her as a tool to satisfy his needs.
“Come with me.”
I presumed that Kaiser wasn’t coming since she was probably attending to my discussion on the job offer. But I was wrong when I followed her into the room, Kaiser was inside waiting.
“Get me some coffee, Griselda,” he howled. She immediately obeyed, leaving the room. His eyes roamed my bare shoulders, going down to my waist and then settled on my thighs.
I didn’t have to guess what would happen next. He locked the door and leaned over me. It felt good how desirous that beast was over me. Forgetting the reason I was here, I wanted him inside me right now.
“F*ck it, Piper. Did anyone tell you black is your colour? Because you’re tempting me now.”
Hoisting my dress up to my waist, he slipped my underwear off my knees and pushed me against the wall, humping me right there.
“But Griselda… your coffee…” I protested between moans.
He smirked. “She won’t be back so soon. Star Coffee is always packed at this time.”
I spread my legs apart, relishing the power of his vigorous lunges. I knew today he was just in for a quickie. Still, seeing how he wanted me desperately to gratify his libido gave me satisfaction. I knew this was the right move for me, for me to get my revenge through a man like him.
Kaiser was cold on the outside, yet burned like hot coals from the inside. I was capable of doing absolutely anything for revenge. It was not a betrayal. It was just two people benefitting from a symbiotic relationship. I was sure in this society, I wasn’t the first and wouldn’t be the last.
When Griselda returned, Kaiser was reading the papers and I was sitting at the table reading the job contract.
“Took you the whole day,” he mumbled. Griselda ignored him and placed the coffee cup on the table.
“Better drink it while it’s piping hot,” she uttered, her eyes on my black dress. I adjusted my dress before she could say anything more.
“So, I just need to sign here, am I right?” I pointed with the black pen on the line above my name.
“Uhuh.” She crossed her arms in front of her chest.
“So, when do I start?”
She looked at me as if I had asked her an obvious question. “Obviously, you are starting now?”
“I mean, formally. When do I go out and start hooking clients?” I winked at her. Her face turned black. Either she was jealous of me because I had Kaiser’s attention, or she detested young employees who were bold enough to talk to her like I did.
“You think you can go and hook clients in this state?” She let out a sarcastic laugh. “I wasn’t born yesterday, Miss Taylor.”
“Griselda,” Kaiser warned. “Be careful of your tone. I hired Miss Taylor, not you. You merely shortlisted her.”
“Yes, sir.” She looked down on the floor as if she feared him. I rolled my eyes at her.
“So?”
“I will train you until you are ready.”
This time, she looked at me hopefully. I shrugged my shoulders. It was apparent she didn’t dare to defy him, which made it hard for us to work together.
“Mr Klef, would it be possible if I could have a word with Miss Griselda in private?”
My question bewildered him. But he relented and seized his e-cigarette to head outside for a vape.
Griselda was just as surprised as he had been. She stared at me puzzled. I knew she wouldn’t have expected me to react that way after her attitude towards me earlier. I didn’t know her relationship with Kaiser, but I was sure it wasn’t that simple.
She resumed her arrogance earlier, staring daggers at me. I sat down and poised myself comfortably.
“Miss Griselda, you can take it easy now that Mr Klef is out of the room.” I smiled at her harmlessly.
“What do you want, Miss Taylor?” She mouthed, gnashing her teeth to indicate her hostility.
“First, I don’t care what your relationship with Mr Klef is and was. I’m just here for the job.” I didn’t like wasting time on unnecessary talk.
“Of all jobs, you came here… and dressed like a bi-”
I cut her off, without losing my cool. After Lenard Lee and his lackeys’ continued abuse, I had learned how to detach my feelings from my facial expressions. I didn’t need her to see my emotions. After all, who was she? She didn’t have the capability to hurt me.
“You aren’t any better. Don’t think I was really asleep on the plane.”
Her face turned black with anger, but she didn’t utter a word.
“I just want to clarify that I am not, in any way, interested in your Mr Klef. But I would very much honour your guidance in the trade. In the end, I’m just here as an employee.” She didn’t need to know what I did with Kaiser behind doors, but I wasn’t interested in the man other than for achieving my goals.
She reluctantly retreated to the back of the room and pulled out a packet that contained clothing. I assumed those were the staff uniforms. On the outside, they looked decent, but I know there was more to it than what meets the eye. I knew clearly what my job scope was all about. It was clearly detailed in the contract I had read and signed.
“Miss Taylor, here is your uniform and also a sim card for us to contact you with.”
I glanced at her casually. Her body language told me that she wasn’t believing me fully. She doubted what I had said to her earlier about my disinterest in Kaiser Klef. But her worries weren’t my concern. I had tried what I could to make it work between us since she was my trainer and superior. She was supposed to lead me.
“After lunch, we will head to the designated spots where KK Sols solicits their clients.”
“There are a few hours before lunchtime,” I said opposingly. “If you may, why don’t we have an early lunch and go over right now?”
Apparently, she had trouble believing my enthusiasm as well. After all, which girl jumps headfirst into solicitation? In other words, prostitution. I was to use my body and my wiles to seduce these men. For the benefit of KK Sols, I had to give in to their demands.
“Are.. you sure?” she questioned me in a wavering tone.
I knew she must have experienced a lot in this line for her to arrive at this conjecture that it would be uncomfortable for me. Disregarding her confusion, I started taking off my clothes in front of her and putting on the uniform. It was a little short and ended inches above my knees. The material was a little sheer and bore an emblem which was KK Sols’ logo.
“What do you think?” I lifted my hands above my head and chuckled.
She was stunned.
“Do you all young women behave like that?”
I rolled my eyes at her. “I’m twenty-six this year. Appearances can be deceiving. Trust me that I am the answer to your problems. You’ll not regret having me in KK Sols.”
“Wait. Do you really have nothing going on with Kaiser?” she started.
I shrugged. “If you don’t believe it, why don’t you ask him yourself?”
She still appeared a little hesitant. “I... I don’t know..”
Kaiser returned to the room just as we were done with our conversation. I signalled for him to pay attention to Griselda, and left the room. From the thick walls, I didn’t know what they spoke about, but my mind was a bit nervous. I had never had to cheapen myself in the past. In an hour I would be going to the darkest spots in the city, lowering myself to this state.
Neither did I anticipate that I would run into someone from my past while I was there.
