21.

I disgustedly stared at the body parts lying around in the crimson sea on my once white oak floor, still breathing fast and hard, almost entirely bathed in god blood.

Fucking bastards.

They surely must’ve reincarnated in Olympus already and ran to Zeus to bitch about me by now.

Good.

After that stunt they pulled on us, they surely deserved everything that was coming their way.

Fooling me like that, just so they could take her away from me...

My gaze trailed back to that same spot I lastly saw her, the sound of her frightened call upon my name still ringing in my ears over and over again, making me feel so fucking guilty for not ensuring her safety before anything else.

Fucking moron!

I angrily drove my fist into the nearest wall, causing a light vibration travelling throughout the entire building, soon leaving a trail of shattered objects and entirely destroyed furniture in my wake as that pure rage kept pulsating inside me like a wildly beating heart until nothing was left to shatter or destroy, finding myself in a sea of utter destruction.

Oh Abbadon would definitely have a fucking orgasm if she ever would’ve seen this mess.

Lightly shaking my head in dismissal at those stupid thoughts I then took a seat on the bloodied floor, leaning myself against the wall as I pondered over and over again, every single damn time getting to the very same outcome.

No matter how hard I tried to deny it, I needed him. I needed his help.

After all, he is the only one who can truly help me.

So with a heavy sigh I finally got up from the floor, totally hating what I was about to do next.

After a relatively short flight, I finally landed right at the location of one of Hell’s many portals throughout the human realm, not even wasting another precious moment as I hastily dragged the silvery dagger over the skin on my palm, letting a few drops of dark red fall over the marked ground.

Here goes my freaking freedom.

Watching the equally dark red light shyly peeking from between the small cracks as the center slowly opened, I then spread my wings and took a leap, diving to the very depths of my dear brother’s home.

And as soon as my still bare feet landed on the deserted path, I took a moment to adjust my vision to the endless darkness, guiding myself after that unmistakable faint trail of scent and dark aura afterwards, easily finding that wretched castle after only a couple of moments.

As the two hideous guards’ entirely black eyes fell upon me, they instantly stepped aside, clearing the path, obviously recognizing me as now one of their superiors since I was a fallen too, just like their ruthless master.

Not even sparing them a second glance I flew past the wooden doors, hurriedly roaming around the large place until I have finally found the throne hall, finding my elder brother throwing some profanities at some random demon, apparently chiding him for something he did, until the demon’s charcoal eyes accidentally landed on me, unintentionally coaxing Lucifer to do the same.

One moment.

One short moment was all it took Lucifer to fully take in my current state and appearance, before I suddenly found myself being slammed against the nearest stone wall, his breathing fast and hard as he forcefully held me by the throat, menacingly growling,

“What did you do to her?”

I defiantly held my ground, staring him right in the eye, my fingers firmly curling around his wrist as I seethed between gritted teeth, “I need your help.”

**Daya**

“Mmm...”

The sound of a weak, raspy voice reached my ears, feeling something cold and wet lightly touching my cheek from time to time, forcing me resurface back to reality.

My eyelids slowly fluttered open, blinking a few times as I struggled to adjust my blurry vision, ultimately noticing the dimly-lit, cold and damp stone-built space I was currently confined in.

Feeling once again that cold wet drop falling over my cheek I rose my sight to the ceiling, watching small beads of water form on the mold-covered stone block, falling right over me.

I quickly tried to get up to my feet, only to be roughly tugged right back down, feeling something thick and rough restraining my arms’ movements, realizing I was actually chained to the wall right behind me, the hard metal digging into my skin with every tug or movement.

What is this place?

I once again tugged against the thick chains, vainly trying to free myself, my gaze landing on the single wooden door right on the opposite wall.

“Hello?” I weakly called, my raspy voice echoing across the room, watching the flickering light shyly peeking from beneath the door, that same tiny light igniting a small flicker of hope inside me.

“Is anybody there?” I tried yet again, wobbly rising on my knees, feeling the stone floor harshly pressing against my skin as I breathlessly waited for an answer, only to receive nothing.

“Please...”

Once again I was greeted with silence, my whole body finally slumping against the wall in defeat.

Why am I even locked in here? What happened?

I furiously wracked my mind for answers, failing to even remember how did I even get here in the first place, struggling to remember those last moments before I simply plunged into darkness when the startling sounds of heavy footsteps approaching suddenly pulled me back to reality, my breath stopping in my throat as I waited, rendering completely silent.

The sound of the old metal lock squeaking in protest as it was yanked open followed, the tall, imposing silhouette now standing in the entryway forcing me to squint my eyes for a better view as the blinding fire light from behind its frame darkened its features, its voice startling the living soul out of me as it came out so raspy and grave. Yet what really frightened me were his words,

“Time to wake up, Princess of the Underworld. You are ought to be present at your own execution.”
