28.
I still couldn’t understand why, or how...
Maybe because she’s half-angel,
My mind whispered as I watched her escape another giggle as Meliae gently rubbed the side of her muzzle against her cheek, her hands caressing the sides of her long neck.
Taking a glance at my brother, I noticed how he silently watched too their so close and intimate interaction, my eyes only widening as I then turned to look back at them, shocked to see how Meliae’s mystic energy slowly seeped out and right through Blake’s skin, vividly glowing as it traveled underneath, through her whole body.
Her eyes fluttered almost closed as her half-human fragile body struggled to contain and digest it, noticing the seemingly pleased smile now forming on her pouty lips, surely overtaken by the energy’s euphoric current.
“Wow...What is this?” She so slowly said, almost dragging her words as she then struggled to stand from her kneeling position, my brother quickly moving to catch her as she was just about to fall right on her bottom.
I let out a small giggle, mildly amused by the effect Meliae’s energy was having over her mundane system.
“It’s just Meliae’s energy transfer. She once in a while gifts it only to the purest souls, taking your negative energy away and giving it to Mother Nature, so she could consume it and then turn it into positive energy again,” I calmly explained, watching how she slowly nodded, her entire body lightly wobbling as she once again struggled to stand, her hands holding fistfuls of Rem’s shirt for support.
“Mother...Nature...” She lightly slurred, letting out a small giggle as she wobbly raised her chin to look up at Rem, her eyelids still half-closed as she watched him for a few moments, letting out yet another giggle.
“Yes, Mother Nature,” I said as I then moved to give Meliae a goodbye caress, feeling myself so amused as I kept listening to her letting out small giggles here and there, saying some incoherent words and sentences as she kept clinging against Rem, only to even try and climb on him like a little koala.
“Come on, let’s get you back inside and in your bed,” Rem calmly said as he then slid one arm under her knees and effortlessly cradled her in his arms, earning a small squeal and another giggle from her.
“Nice...smell nice...hello there mister elf-man...” She mumbled as she once again gazed up at him, trying to pull his left ear. He only kept a straight face and gave her a single glance as he then started walking back towards the house.
I quickly started walking and followed them too, watching her once again act so peculiar as she repeatedly pressed her index finger against the tip of his nose for a few times, surely irritating him to no end.
“Boop! Boop boop!”
Yet he stoically endured her small “assaults” and carried her all the way towards the glass door, momentarily stopping as he waited for me to step forward and slide it open for them.
I quickly complied and proceeded to open it, walking ahead as I heard Rem’s footsteps trailing right behind, accompanied by her mumbles and giggles, making me smile myself.
Only just as I was a few steps away from the stairs a sudden squeal echoed across the large hallway, feeling myself being stumbled over and pushed right on the marble floor, falling on my palms and knees. But just as I was about raise myself back on my feet and ask Rem about what just happened a so familiar pair of army boots suddenly appeared in my line of vision, watching how they took an abrupt halt just a few inches away.
Slowly raising my chin, my eyes met those piercing black ones, my breath momentarily stopping in my throat as I could only stare, completely frozen.
“Raph, please wait, I...” My father’s voice suddenly echoed across the whole hall, instantly snapping me out of that trance, quickly averting my gaze, noticing how he stopped just a few feet away from us, his silvery gaze quickly switching between us.
“Raphael, please, if you would just listen-”
“No. You can take your mind away from this. I said no, it remains no. I’m not doing this,” The fallen archangel now standing right in front of me so coldly said, those black eyes giving me one last glance before suddenly side-stepping me and storming away, once again leaving me so empty and heart-broken, the haunting image of his so cold gaze imprinting to my memory.
“Luuuuuc!” Archangel Michael’s daughter suddenly screeched, only now noticing how she wobbly struggled in Rem’s arms as I quickly got up from the floor, seemingly trying to reach him as her arms stretched towards him, like a little rabbit bouncing up and down as she kept cheering,
“Luci! Luci! Luci!”
“What happened to her?” My father worriedly asked as he quickly moved to reach and gently grab her, cradling her in his embrace.
“It w-was a forest spirit. Sh-she gave her some positive e-energy,” I lightly stuttered as I hurriedly explained, biting my lip as I so inexplicably felt a little guilty, maybe for allowing such thing to happen.
“How did she manage get to a forest spirit?” He then curiously asked, my gaze lowering as I so quietly answered,
“It was Meliae. She’s my friend so she followed me here...”
“I understand,” He replied, surprisingly calm, his brows furrowing as she suddenly started her peculiar assault on him too, pinching his cheeks and giggling as she let out another few incoherent words, only just as he was about to turn and walk towards the stairs a booming voice startled the soul out of me as it called out,
“Blake?”
“What the hell happened to her?”
My entire body lightly trembled as I watched Death rapidly descending the large set of stairs, not even wasting another moment as he so gently held her so vulnerable body close to his chest, his stiff and menacing posture now resembling to a lioness fiercely protecting its cub.
“What did you do to her?” He seethed between gritted teeth, those midnight gems only turning even darker, my breath hitching in my throat as I widely stared back at him, already feeling like a sinner on the verge of receiving its punishment.
“I-I...” I incoherently stammered, quickly noticing how Rem moved to stand closer to me, his posture also stiff and defensive, seemingly ready to block out any incoming threats.
“Hey, calm down you mama bear, it was just a forest spirit,” I then heard my father rather monotonically say, his words apparently having zero effect on the so menacing Archangel of Death as his harsh gaze never left mine, his tone still so accusing as he then asked,
“How did she manage to get to a forest spirit?”
“It was Daya’s friend. She was visiting her,” My father quickly answered his firing questions once again, his answer though seeming to only enrage “the demon” even further as those midnight skies momentarily turned pitch black, my lips escaping a small gasp as I widely stared now utterly petrified, shaken to the core, even though my father and brother were obviously still present and ready to protect me.
“I want you, to stay away from her,” He lowly seethed, his tone so dark and frightening, to the point where I had to cling to my brother’s arm for support, blinking away the tiny tears gathered at the corners of my eyes.
“Okay, Azrael, stop. You’re-”
“No no, no, Razzie upset,” Our attention quickly averted as Archangel Michael’s daughter suddenly slurred once again, pinching both his cheeks, her still wobbly arms then clinging against Death’s broad shoulders as she pushed herself upwards, struggling to reach his height. Curiously watching how she unsuccessfully tried a few times, my lips suddenly parted as she eventually reached and slowly touched his lips with hers for a few times, almost purring in utter delight.
“Mmm...yum-yum...”
“Sweeeeet...like candyyyy...” She lazily mumbled, touching his lips with hers for a few more times, feeling heat creeping up my cheeks as her initially “innocent” kisses only deepened, seemingly unaware of the present audience.
“Yummm...I want. Moooreeee...” She then so breathlessly said, feeling the urge to turn my sight away as she so shamelessly tugged against his shirt, ripping all the buttons off, almost completely exposing his broad chest, right before his big hands suddenly curled around her fragile wrists, abruptly stopping her.
A small whine quickly escaped her lips, ready to protest when his arm swiftly wrapped around her thin waist, giving her a gentle kiss right before his index and middle fingers touched her forehead, her body immediately falling limp in his arms, completely unconscious.
My jaw hung open, unblinking as I widely stared, too shocked to even move, watching how he carefully cradled her inanimate body close to his chest and with a last cold gaze he then started climbing up the stairs, simply leaving us standing there, in complete silence.
“Come on, let’s go rest now,” My brother’s warm hand gently wrapping around mine quickly pulled me out of my trance-like state, feeling him lightly tug in his attempt to coax me to walk away with him when another hand suddenly touched my shoulder, abruptly stopping us both as it briefly turned me around, my eyes meeting those silvery grey ones.
“Don’t worry, I will find a way,” He so quietly said, words only for my ears, his tone so determined as he then took a brief glance right over my shoulder, towards the grand staircase, right before his lips so gingerly touched my forehead, planting a feathery kiss, followed by those last two words,
“I promise.”
**Blake**
That oh-so familiar, fresh and absolutely delicious aroma tickled my nostrils as I took another breath, gently lulling me back to reality.
“Mmm...” I lightly purred, feeling the hot and smooth surface underneath my palms, my mind coaxing me to move them in a gentle caress, my fingertips touching the perfectly even two swells.
“Blake?”
A breathless whisper called my name, only humming in response as my hands kept exploring, moving further up against the heated skin, not even bothering to open my eyes as my tactile memory kept giving me clear hints about the owner, my own body already yearning to experience even more, eager to once again be touched back by the one currently lying so close to me.
Feeling one palm gingerly glide up against my back, my lips curved up in a light smile, my fingers finding their way in between those soft, short locks, using my every other sense -besides my sight- to guide myself closer and closer until my lips touched those soft, so divine ones, moving in a deep, intense battle of dominance, to the point where all the air left my lungs, absolutely desperate to feel more and more. And with a harsh tug his pure raw masculine weight almost crushed my own, my lungs taking in a greedy breath of air as it quickly lifted itself off my chest, now barely touching, taunting the two sensitive peaks.
A small whimper escaped my lips as that certain masculine part of his painfully slow rubbed against my most sensitive area, my breath now coming out in short, labored pants as my need only intensified, to the point where I almost lost my sanity, my body practically begging his to ravage me, once again take me to those oh-so familiar peaks of pure ecstasy.
Warm, soft lips touched the skin on my collarbone, that single, so delicate action practically sending me into overdrive as without any other warning or a single ounce of control my hands found their way over his broad shoulders, forcefully pushing his body against the mattress as my own so gracefully shifted right over his, like a hungry lioness lusting to taste its fresh prey licking my lips, firmly holding his thick wrists pinned against the edge of the bed as my eyes finally met those beautiful midnight ones, only to notice the deeply shocked and equally anxious expression instantly crossing his features as his gaze so intensely held mine.
“Blake...” He breathlessly said my name once again, blinking a few times, only this time his voice no longer held that hint of want.
Instead, it sounded so thickly filled with worry.
I simply stared back at him, failing to comprehend what just happened when he suddenly removed himself from my “restraints”, quickly rising himself into a sitting position.
“Blake, your eyes are glowing again. What’s going on? And how did you do that?”
“Do what?” I simply asked back, utterly confused as my fingers unconsciously moved to touch the skin on my cheekbone, quickly getting off the bed as I ran to my make-up table, my lips escaping a shaky breath as two vividly glowing green orbs stared back right into mine, scaring me to no end.
A frightened noise went past my lips as I stumbled a few steps back, almost touching the floor with my butt if it wasn’t for those two strong arms quickly wrapping around my waist, preventing me from doing so.
“W-what’s going on? W-what’s h-happening to me?” I lightly cried out as those two glowing orbs once again met mine through the mirror, my entire body lightly shaking in terror as I blinked a few times, to make sure it was me who I was watching through that silvery glass.
Feeling his fingers gingerly grabbing my marked wrist my gaze then averted to look at it, watching his thumb lightly glide over the symbol, a troubled expression marring his features as soon as my gaze quickly darted to look at him through the mirror, right before he suddenly spun me around, finding myself now facing him.
Grabbing my shoulders to capture my complete attention, a determined look crossed his beautiful features as he so seriously instructed,
“I want you, to hit me as hard as you can. Can you do that?”
“What? Why? Why the fuck would I do that?” I incredulously shouted, staring at him utterly dumbfounded.
He let out a tired exhale, leaving further explanations for later as he then simply said,
“Just do it.”
My brows rose, blankly staring back at him for a few short moments as I wondered why the hell would he request such thing, but shrugged it off nonetheless and with a roll of my shoulders I finally prepared myself, ready to grant his wish.
“Ookay, mr. kinky pants,” I jokingly muttered, earning an eye-roll from him but before he could even prepare himself, my fist violently connected with his chest and to my utter shock and horror, it forcefully sent him flying straight towards the nearest wall, creating a small vibration in the whole building and a large dent in it.
“Holy shit!”
“Are you okay?”
