I NEED THE RED EMERALD

Haley's eyes slightly opened to a dark dim unfamiliar new surrounding. She turns her head, scanning around as she observes the empty territory and her brain trying to process where she was. There is stillness in the environment, almost too quiet to be serene; even a tricky sound of a water drop seems almost entirely absent. The smell of rotten flesh wafts through her nose and the air has a sourness the moment she takes in a deeper breath. Something feels off about this territory which made her scared. Her eyes notice the stretching tall walls that were made of rough stone which seems to be built with gravel. It has four endless dimensions which makes it look so massive.

The cold breeze grazed her skin which made her body start to shiver as her breath released vapor coming out of her mouth. She couldn't recall where she was even after inspecting every wall of the building.

Her heart began to beat against her chest as she realized that this wasn't the castle she used to live in but a dungeon, it was too cold and quiet. She had remembered that she had passed out because of the smoke but how on earth did she get here. Was the only thought that ran through her head as she tried to serene her mentality.

Her breath becomes heavy as she tries to move. Her muscles sore from the chain tied around her wrist that were sprawled in different directions.

She turned her head and saw the two pillars holding on to the chains that were tied in her both hands. The ground was hard as rock and cold, she could feel it in her barefoot. She could only move her legs as her body was stuck in-between the two pillars pulling her back from making a move.

Her lips were cracked and dried. She moisturized her lips using her tongue before she swallowed her saliva like a thirsty animal. She needed water to cool her hot throat.

She tried pulling her arm again but in return she heard the sound of cranking steel chains tied in her hand.

"Is anyone here?". Haley cried out and her voice echoed in return. She realized that she was the only one in the empty room who couldn't recall how she ended up here.

"Haley". He heard Damond's voice called weakly and she jolted a gulp of her own saliva.

"Damond". Haley responded, she could feel his presence but could barely see his figure. "Damond, where are you?". She cried softly.

"Haley I'm right here, can you hear me?". Damond asked as he could clearly hear her voice.

"Damond I…". Haley ceased from uttering her statement when she heard thundering footsteps shambled in and a creepy shadow approaching. She began to shiver in fear, she hadn't been this scared in her life but seeing the figure of the shadow on the floor made her want to lose free from the chain trapping her and run. "How did we get here Damond ''. She cried in horror as the sound of the footsteps increased, signifying it's not too far away from her.

Suddenly everything became silent and before Damond could respond to Haley's question a light was turned on and shonned down to his own figure. He was chained in both hands and legs to a pillar. His hands were spread out but his legs were joined together and trapped with a chain tied around it.

"Damond". Haley yelled, she was curious and horrified seeing Damond without a shirt on but a long pant that barely reached his knees. His nostril has blood stained on it, it seems like he was bleeding but it was shiff. "What did you do to him, you monster". She averted her gaze to the unknown figure standing a few feet away from her.

"The light's". The man's cold voice reverberated the surrounding and within a second a bulb was turned on that brightened the whole environment.

Haley squinted her eyes due to the light inflicting on her sight. She gradually opened her eyes and averted her gaze to the figure out of curiosity. She gape-mouthed at the figure standing in front of her,`` Demoni''. She said inaudibly to his hearing and he smirked.

"That's right and I'm here for my revenge". Demoni sneered. "Guard's". He called out and ten figures of huge men came into his presence. "Untie her". He ordered and two men went towards her. They unlocked the cuffs holding her hands and it loosened.

Damond knew his brother was up to no good if he had to untie her from his trap. He tried pulling his hands from the chain but it ended up inflicting pains in both hands.

Demoni guffawed, watching his brother struggle to no avail.

The men freed her and Haley caressed her sore wrist with her palm. "What do you want?". She asked and Demoni ceased from his loud laughter before he turned to look at her.

"You!". Demoni responded which made Demond growl in rage while he tried pulling himself to Demoni's path.

Haley stared at him, confused as to why he wanted her. She's not his mate nor does she hold something special that belongs to him. It made her curious to know what he wanted.

"And what do you want from me?". She furrowed her brow.

"You see, you have something special in you Haley, something really…". Demoni said as he slowly crept his steps towards her in an approaching manner. "Something really strong, something really dangerous that is supposed to belong to me". He said with an evil smile on his lips.

Demond, who knew what he wanted, pulled the chain in an attempt to free himself. "Haley, don't listen to him". He yelled as Haley stared intensely into Demoni piercing brown eyes, trying to figure out what he meant by his statement.

"I need the red emerald Haley, the stone that could strengthen every wolf who is no match for the dire and rabid wolves". Demoni explained, dangerous matching towards her which made her staggered a couple of steps backward.

She realized what he wanted, her wolf heart. She was meant to keep it safe till when the Ultima wolf is to be reborn, it belongs to him. The last Ultimate wolf sacrificed himself to bring peace to the world. The world will be in great danger if she has to give it to him, he will be unstoppable and more brutish. The red emerald stone was taken from the last ultimate wolf, it was its eyes that created the stone. It has been given to her as a sacrifice to reunite the wolves again and bring her back to life. She's a chosen guardian angel, whose mission was to protect it power's till when a new Ultima will be reborn. Without the stone in her head, she might lose her life as she was the only one who could control its power. The power of life and death.

Demoni brought out an oak dagger from the hidden pocket behind his robe as he strode towards Haley that was cowering back away from him.

Haley eyes wide open and Demond's heart skipped, he was terrified that he couldn't do anything to stop him or to protect his mate from the claws of his brother.
