Chapter Twenty Six
AMIYA'S POV
I entered through the hall behind Lana and Martino. They stood in front of me. I ran my eyes on the interior. The wall was painted cream white and bright blue. There were sheer gold curtains covering large windows. It resembled me of Rubina' house back then. I did not get the time to admire the house in my grief. I was waiting for them to move on, I wanted to explore the house before meeting another family member.
" Hey! Make your feet move. " I tapped on Lana's shoulder.
I frowned when she didn't stir. I passed through them and it startled me, making my feet froze on the spot. My heart began to pound behind my ribcage, ready to hop out.
" We are dead. " Lana said.
" I told you Gorky and Tim are not trustworthy. You don't wanna hear me. We are dead. " I told her in a slow whisper,
' I don't wanna create any scenes. They are reckless and ruthless. '
" We are in f*****g hell now. " Lana yelled slowly so only we could hear her.
" Your brother is still alive. You both calm down. " Martino said.
" Why didn't you tell us? " I scolded him.
" I didn't know anything about it. " He retorted.
" I'm with Mia. " Lana whispered and stared at her brother.
" I'll not let them harm you. " Martino promised.
It was quite a relief to hear it. Though, I was well known about the fact that no one could keep me away from his wrath. I was wondering, what had compelled him to cling to the seat?
His amber eyes were deadly glaring at me. I gulped hard and took my steps back behind Lana and her brother. At least, I was safe for now. I dared to peep through the crack of them and found him staring at me deadly. He continued to look at me, he wasn't even blinking. He was regally sitting like a king, hands on couch arms. I sighed, but not with fear. I didn't notice but he was looking dashing in his black suit.
' Lana was right, he's a born king.' I thought and lowered my eyes.
I was on my best behavior, perhaps this sneak out had spoiled everything. I saw him through the corner of my eyes. He was still looking at me. I was fearing he would kill me with his cold withering glares.
" Here you are! I'm waiting for you in your room. " A sweet feminist voice poured into my ear.
" Mom, " Lana ran at the woman like a five year old little girl.
I was trying to decipher his expression, I didn't bother to see Lana and Michail. I could bet it would be worse than their situation. I glanced at Jenna. She was taller than Lana in her heels. Her cheeks were slightly pink. I could say, Lana must have learned to love makeup from her mother. She was in a red gown and her hair was in a neat bun.
" Svetlana, " Then a male heavy voice grabbed my attention.
Ethan was not alone around the glass table. Michail was sitting next to Ethan and there was a elder man, I could see some grey in his dark black hair. He must be Lana's Father, Stefano.
" Dad, " Lana quickly paced at his father and hugged him. He returned it immediately.
" Mia, You ok? " Martino asked me, putting his warm hand on my upper arm. I ran my sight in Ethan's direction, his hands fisted and his glare concentrated on Martino.
" I'm fine. " I plastered a fake smile and took one step away from him. It was a worse idea of inviting him to attack.
I couldn't get a chance to look at him when someone called me by my name. I darted eyes, " Jenna, " I genuinely smiled this time. It was she, who compelled me to take all this risk. I wanted to feel, did it feel to be around my mother? She hugged me. I hugged her back instantly. She kissed on my temple. I smiled and pulled back, " Hello, nice to meet you. '' I said smilingly.
" I'm glad you are gracing us with your presence. " Jenna smiled.
' She is really a softhearted woman. I couldn't utter a word in reply. '
" She's overwhelmed, mom. She wanted to meet you. " Lana said, standing behind her mother.
I was standing like a dumb their and smiling. I caught his eyes on me, " We should go. " Ethan suddenly said, standing up. My heart collapsed hearing it from him. He sauntered at me and placed his hand on my waist.
" Next time, you'll stay for longer. " Jenna said.
" Yes, I'll. " I told her but I wasn't sure. I would be breathing or dead after stepping out of this property.
We took our leave. Lana stayed as she was meeting her parents after months. Michail was walking beside him.
He opened the door for me. I stepped out first. I sauntered toward the car. Michail got on the passenger seat. " Ethan, I I... m, " He rested his finger on my lips.
" Shh, " he thunderously shushed her.
* * *
Her body was trembling under his touch. She backed up instantly as her lips were still trembling. He was looking dangerous. His lips were pressed in a hard line. His horrible glares were sending shivers down her body.
She pressed her lips together but couldn't lessen the tremor. She instantly got in the car. Astonishingly, he shoved inside next to her. Her heart skipped a beat almost on the verge of giving her a heart attack.
Mark was the one who was on the driver seat. She kept her eyes in the lap. Her dress was approaching her middle of the thighs. She couldn't glance at him in her fear. It was feeling dread, sitting next to him or fighting with the question itself, what would he do to her?
She looked out at the passing trees. They were almost blur. She reluctantly and cowardly swivelled her neck at him. He was looking like the king of hell himself, handsome but the most vicious and horrible person.
" Et.... " Her words stuck in her throat when his right hand crept on her left thigh, making her icey frozen on her seat. He slowly rubbed his hand on my thigh up and down. He began to tap his index finger on her skin Tap-Tap-Tap. .. means silence silence silence.
She bit her lips and looked out of the window. He didn't remove his hand. He stopped tapping but didn't remove it. She was frightened, what if he would dig his fingers in her skin and wring her skin in his powerful grip, leaving marks behind.
Luckily he didn't, but she was counting time. Her mind wasn't working at all. It paralyzed her. Tears were piercing as she was biting her inner skin of the mouth. She didn't comprehend at first when the car halted. Her heart dropped.
" Michail! " He said out loudly.
" Okay boss. " She heard from Michail.
She was shocked at his words. Her heart began a race to go nowhere. They left them in the car alone. It is the most homicidal part of her life. She was dreaded the moment when she would be alone with him, thinking. Now, here she was.
She felt the hot breeze brushing her skin. She darted her eyes, he was standing, holding the door for her. She couldn't gather courage to move and looked at his face.
Abruptly, he scooped her up, making her yelp. He walked fast, reaching into their room. He propelled her on the mattress with a little harshness. He inclined in, giving her no opportunity to escape. He was quick. When she understood, his one hand was on her tight to pin her down and second near her right ear.
" How the f**k dare you to lie to me, hide things to me. " He darkly said his words in a curt tone.
She tried to push his hand away from her but it was fixed there. Tears welled in her eyes, rolling down fastly. She opened her mouth but couldn't make anything. He wrapped his hand around her nape, lifting her slightly from the mattress and kept his face inches apart. She could feel his hot breath coming normally. " Damn the answer to me. " He seethed, " Stop your f*****g tears. "
" Leave m.... " She hardly could speak, pushing herself up to the headboard. She hugged her knees, turning herself into a small ball. He turned showing his back. He took off his coat and flung it away. When he turned, his face was carrying the deep frown, eyes deadly staring at her, lips crushed firmly. Her body started to tremble at his posture. There was no way to escape and make herself safe. Taking her wrist he pushed me up to his hard chest.
" F**k the answer me. " He harshly demanded.
" I I I'm so-rry. Ple-ase For-giv e me. " Her voice was cracking. She was sobbing. He was scaring the life out of her.
" That's not the f**k answer. " He snarled.
" So-rry " It was all she could manage in her fear and placed her head on his chest.
" I'll take out every single f*****g drop of blood from your brother and dear Gretta's body if you dared to do this shit again "
Her body jolted witnessing the cruelty from his mouth. Her sobs grew louder. He growled, " Stop this right now. " He said out loudly
" You'll no-t do any-thing to them. " She glanced up at him with obscured eyes, tears falling down unstoppable.
" They are safe until these f*****g tears are away from your eyes. " He said it under his breath but it was clearly audible to her.
She swiped it away with the back of her hand. She clasped her hand over her mouth to suppress the sobs.
He was glaring at her with scowling expressions. Her body was trembling. He dropped again but softly on the mattress she pushed herself immediately up, sitting. He settled in front of her with his laptop. She could hear click click and just click. It seemed to her like sweet music. She could guess from his expressions he was controlling his rage or his hands not to strangle her.
' I'll be more comfortable with him if he'll make himself calm. '
Her back was aching, her legs were paining. Her eyes were getting heavy, she wanted to sleep and forgot all this.
" Ee-Th-an.." He stopped his hands, " I want to sle-ep. " She told him. She could see at the clock on the wall that it was midnight.
He pushed the laptop away, as he was waiting for it, in a second he was on his feet. He climbed up on the mattress. He slid her heels out, throwing it on the floor. She could hear the hit of his shoes on the floor too. Engulfing her, he turned her upper body, lying on the mattress. He gave a long kiss on her forehead, but he did not say a word. It was enough to tell her, he did not mean to scare her, perhaps sorry. Without any delay she slipped her arms under his arms and closed her eyes, inhaling his cologne.
