Chapter Twenty Nine

She slowly opened her eyes, sighting an unknown environment. She blinked several times, confusion still clouded her features. There was pain in her head. She closed her eyes for a few seconds and then flung open, she hardened her gaze on the ceiling.
She touched the left side of her forehead and found something rude on it. Fraught memories covered her thoughts, she straightened up with a jerk. She wandered her eyes around and an unfamiliar sight, silver and blue interior welcomed her. She quickly stood up on the floor from it. She glanced at her clothes. It was changed. She was in black gown. It frightened her. Someone else's touch on her body made her hate herself, " No! No! No! " She squealed. Tears made its way out without warning.
The door slammed open, showing Kattie. There was a deep frown on her forehead, " I changed it. Relax. " But her voice was calm.
She blinked, making tears fall down. Questions were hovering over her brain. Why did they kidnap her? What was Kattie doing here? She shook her head and felt the pain.
" What do you want? Why are you keeping me here? Please, Let go of me. My husband will be waiting for me. " She said.
" Believe me, I also want this. " Kattie said with a fake smile.
" You do? " She shockingly asked.
" Yes, I Love Robbie. I don't want you around him. I'll help you but you'll keep it to yourself. " She said sternly.
' Whatever she wants, it doesn't matter to me. I want to get out of here, away from him. It's not important who helps me,' she thought.
" Okay." She replied.
" Kattie, what are you doing here? " Robbie asked.
Both turned to look at him. His eyes moved on her, " Babe is awake. How are you feeling now? " He asked.
" None of your concern. Just let me go. " She snapped.
" Not a chance. Brother will forget you. He has many options. Kattie wants him back. " He said looking at Kattie.
" Shame on you. She's your wife. How could you talk like this, how could you think this? " She said to him loudly.
He smirked and shoved his hand in his pocket, " I thought... none of your business. " He turned to Kattie. " You want this right? " He smiled at Kattie.
" Yes, of course. " She smiled back.
What the heck this is? Was she telling the truth before his arrival?
Kattie was talking in a whisper with him. When, maid knocked on the opened door, " Lunch is ready, sir. " She said.
He nodded and paced ahead, " Girls! Ain't you hungry? " He asked.
" We are coming. " Kattie said.
She was still perplexed with her saying. Was Kattie trustworthy? This question nagged her.
' No, I can't trust her. If she could betray Ethan, why not me? Whatever she is planning. I'm not gonna trust. I've to pretend I'm with her. It will give me some time to plan my escape. '
" I've to pretend. I know it's hard to trust me. I've betrayed Ethan. I'm not regret it. I don't love him. " Kattie said.
She astounded, " You don't! " She winced as questions were written on her face.
" I love Robbie, I've told you. I can do anything for him. " She told her.
' Okay! Her eyes are saying, she's telling the truth. '
" Why are you pretending then? You should contradict it. " She said.
" You don't know him. " Kattie shook her head, taking one step back.
" He's a monster. " She blurted out.
Kattie glared at him, " Watch your mouth. He's my husband. " Kattie wrinkled her lips, " Come now. " She jerked her hand at the door.
She knew Ethan wouldn't have eaten anything. And he'd not until he found her. She looked at Kattie who was frowning at her, " Make him realize, you love him. Explain your love to him in your doing toward him. " She told her.
" What do you mean! " Kattie frowned.
" Show him how much you love him, by taking care of his needs and happiness. " She smiled.
Her face fell, " I did. " Kattie replied.
" Oh! Then you should try the opposite things. " She said, pointing with her finger.
She narrowed her eyes, " I did not get it? " Kattie asked.
" Stop caring about him. Prefer yourself instead of him in every small and important thing. You should try this from lunch. Good luck. If he gets angry and scold you for ignoring him, then he loves you. Then you have to do something which will realize his feelings for you. " She said and sat on the mattress.
Kattie nodded in understanding, " Maid will bring your food to the room. " Kattie said.
" Yeah! " She managed a smile and hoped to get away from here soon.
