Chapter Thirty

The Maid put the tray on the small table. She did not gaze at it. She wasn't hungry at all. She wanted to be with her husband. Her throat choked with tears. She closed her eyes and breath in and out deeply. It couldn't help her. Tears streamed down her face. She brushed them away with both hands.
He'll find me. Please God, send him.
" Why the f**k are you crying? " A loud voice came from behind.
She did not turn to look at him. She never considered, she would cry for her kidnapper who compelled her to marry him and forced himself on her.
" I'm talking to you. " He rudely told her and contorted her to face him by holding her upper arm.
" Don't you dare to touch me. " She jerked his hand away and backed away from him, " Let me go, please. I'm requesting you. " She said to him with pleading eyes.
" You are mine. " He wickedly told her.
" I Belong To My Husband. " She glared at him, " He'll find me. " She said. She wanted to prove him wrong.
" He couldn't find out about me and Kattie. Why do you think he will find out about you? " He smirked, tilting his head one side and staring at her.
" Because he trusted you. But he doesn't trust you anymore. Don't be stupid. Kattie loves you. Your stupidity will ruin everything in your life. Open your eyes and respect those who love you. " She said out loudly in frustration.
" Shut the f**k up. " He snapped.
" It can't change, anything. but it'll destroy everything you have. Don't you know you brother! " She said.
" I said shut up. " He said.
" No, I won't. You can not value anyone in your life, your brother, mother and your wife, not anyone. " She snapped.
He stepped near her and glared down at her, " My brother will not come here to protect you. Watch your f*****g tongue. " He agitated.
" Truth tastes bitter. Haven't you read it? " She retorted.
" I don't give a f**k! " He snapped and held her arm. He began to haul her out of the room.
She hit him with her slap, " Leave me. You are hurting me. " She squealed.
He pulled the chair and forced her to sit on it. Maid put the food plate on the dining table. She quickened her eyes at her. Maid was shivering. She darted her eyes at Robbie. He was exasperated. His cruel glare was on her. She gulped hard. She couldn't give up so easily. She glared back at him.
" Eat! " He yelled.
" I'm not eating. " She snapped.
" You can't force her to do anything. " Kattie told him, coming from behind. She could see the maid behind her standing scared.
" Don't poke your nose in my matter." He bellowed.
He held Kattie's shoulder and pushed her away. Kattie stumbled but the maid held her instantly.
She stood up from her seat and slapped him across his face. He put his hand on the cheek. When he turned his face to her, he was murderously glaring at her. It frightened her. She whirled to run away. He gripped her wrist and hoisted up his hand to hit her. She squealed and tightly shut her eyes.
Instead she heard a loud groan and shouts from Kattie and maids. She opened her eyes. Robbie was on the ground, crouched, holding his stomach. Kattie crouched down near him and looked up with requesting eyes. He was standing fearlessly holding his gun, charged at Robbie.
" Ethan! " She gleefully squealed and jumped in his arms.
He instantly entwined his arms around her. She inhaled his cologne and smiled gleefully. They didn't break the hug for two full minutes. For a while, it felt her world had stopped around her. She felt his kisses on her neck. She pulled back to look at him, " You alright, love? " He asked.
" Yes, I'll know you'll come for me. " She smiled the biggest.
" Of course, I will, " He said, moving his intense eyes on her face, " Who did this? " He angrily asked.
" I was trying to escape. I fell. " She told him.
He turned his cold glare at Robbie. She was sure he'd shoot him. He'd kill him. It would destroy everything especially Rubina and Kattie, " Robbie, protect me from them. " She instantly told him.
" He didn't tell me. He had found you. I've seen what he was going to do to you. " Ethan aggravated.
" I wasn't eating. He wanted me to eat. I slapped him in frustration. " She told him. She wanted him to trust it. She wasn't lying, she was hiding some things, for the family.
" It's not like that. I called you many times. You didn't pick my calls. I wanted to tell you about your wife, Mia. " Kattie said,looking at her.
Robbie's eyes snapped at her. His mouth was slightly opened in astonishment.
Ethan took out his phone and glanced at it. Lifting his head, he nodded at Kattie. He stared at Robbie, " Never dare to touch my wife again. " He warned Robbie.
She glanced at him. Robbie was gawking at Kattie and then at her. He must be in shock why they were helping him, " Got it brother." He nodded at Ethan. Kattie helped him to be on his feet. Mark came ahead to help him. She gazed at his cheek.
" Mark, what happened to your cheek? It's red. Did you get in a fight with someone? " she asked.
" Ma'am, I'm um .. " He trailed. Mark was looking at Ethan from the corner of his eyes.
" Did you hit him? " She looked at Ethan in awe. He didn't reply to her.
She heard more footsteps behind her, " Mia, Are you alright? " Michail asked her, standing in front of her.
She smiled and nodded. Michail returned the smile and took a long stride. He kissed on her head, " You scared my brother. " He looked at Ethan.
" I'm sorry. " She whispered.
" Let's go home. " He tugged her at his side and sauntered out of the house.

After lunch they came back to their room. He didn't let her go away from his side. He was holding her hand all the way back, on the dining table. There was a cute little smile on his face. He reclined her on the mattress and sat close to her. His eyes were on her, only her. She pushed herself up and moved at his side. Resting her arms around her neck. She hugged him tightly.
" These past eight hours were never ending hours of my life. " He whispered in her ear, engulfing her.
" I missed you like hell all the time. I was waiting for you. " She choked.
He reclined back on the mattress, taking her with him. His feet were still on the ground. Her head was on his chest, " Ethan.. " She wanted to know about him and Lana.
" Whatever you are thinking. It's nothing like that. Our fathers want us to get married. She wasn't that girl that I wanted for me. I never want this. Michail likes her from the start. It determined me more. I never hold her hand once in my life. " He said.
She pushed her head behind to look in his eyes. Her smile was showing how relieved she was, " Really! How did you know I want to know this? " She asked.
" Yes, Michail told me. " He chuckled.
" But what if she wants you back. " She sucked her bottom lip nervously.
" Back! I wasn't her. How can she have me back? " He brushed his fingers on her cheek and tucked her hair back on her shoulder.
She blinked and stared at him. She inclined and pecked on his lips, " Thank you. " She smiled.
He was looking startled with her little action. Their gazes were locked, they let silence prevail while they lost far away from all troubles. His fingers were brushing her elbow. She knew she was blushing. Her face was hot and her palms were damp under her fist.
" You'll not step out without me or a bodyguard. " He said.
" Yes, " she instantly replied to him as she didn't wanna go away from him. More ever she wasn't sure, she would survive next time or not. Although, Robbie's intention wasn't good. But he saved her. She was hoping Robbie would realize his wife's feelings for him.
His phone rang in his pocket. She shuddered with sudden noise. " Relax, it's my phone. " He said with a smile.
She nodded. He put it against his ear and disconnected it after a few seconds. She never saw anyone talking on the phone without saying a word, " Your brother and friend are coming in the evening. Take a nap. " He politely spoke to her. He placed his hand on her one side of his face. Her smile faded from her lips.
" I told you. I don't want this. " She sadly replied to him.
" Are you regretting me? " He asked.
" No! " She squealed instantly, " I I You are a blessing that occurred to me. " She replied. She was struggling to speak her next words. But she was doubting, would he approve it or not. Rejection and his silence both would hurt her, " I um li-ke you. I couldn't st-op think-ing ab-out you. " She fearfully told him, stumbling on her words.
She knows she loves him but she was afraid of his reaction.
' What if he will reject me as Robbie is doing with Kattie. '
He was gawking at her astonishingly. It turned impassive immediately, " I thought you loathe me. " He asked her.
She shook her head, " I don't. You have always protected me. " She told him.
He stood on his feet, taking her with him, " You are surprising me, Mia. " He whispered. He reclined her on the mattress, " You need rest. I'm sure you have a lot of things to share with your friend. " He smiled.
She smiled, " Whenever I ask you anything why do you say, 'my wife' ? " She whispered.
" Ain't you? " He smiled wryly. It lured her stomach.
Her cheeks turned crimson red, " I am, " She replied shyly. Corners of her lips curved up in a huge smile.
She was looking at him to say more. But she was sure, I'd not come what she was expecting. She didn't want to give her any false hope. She was toying with coat's edge.
He leaned in and kissed her cheek, " I love you. " He whispered, pulling back from her instantly.
It numbed her for a while. Her heart began to race inside her ribcage. Her cheeks turned bright red and she could sense radiating heat from them. When she comprehended his words. She heard the click of the door. He was gone. Wave of exhilaration ran through her body. She squealed while erupted in a smile.
Door opened with a jerk, " What happened? " There was an alarm on his face.
She chewed on her bottom lip and gathered her courage. She closed her eyes, " I love you, two. " She spoke loudly with a smile.
When she opened her eyes, she was in his arms.
