Time to Storm the Castle

Merck

I don't trust this woman Diana, but Tristan and Reece seem fine with her being the one to talk to us about Kamila. I have no idea who she is, what her motivation is, or what she's really trying to accomplish.

But the other two are perfectly fine with it, so I'll be beaten. I decide to keep my mouth, and my mental link, shut for now and simply head towards the back of the castle so I can help infiltrate and attack Kane's snipers before they can kill any of our warriors.

I'm hoping that this plan of going around the back and coming up behind them will help us get rid of as many of their gunmen as possible.

It makes me sick to think of ET1 Kane opening fire on a group of ET´s. That is simply wrong! We are animals, meant to fight with teeth and claws, not shoot each other like men. If we were unable to change from our human forms to our ET forms, there would be nothing wrong with that, but we might equally not be able to change if they were to fight as men.

I run around the back of the castle, gathering many of my best troops with me as I go. It seems pretty clear that the battle here is even. We haven't sent our full force yet, but now that we are in place and we have everyone, we can do it. I just want my best warriors to run full speed towards those snipers, though.

As we run, I remind them, “These are armed and dangerous lunatics, so be very careful!” They will be shot and eliminated, no questions asked. Those bullets are huge, so it won't just be a flesh wound or a little tickle. Zigzag, stay down and avoid them. Understood?

“Yes, ET1,” they all say in unison, and we turn the corner to run behind the castle and out the other side, moving closer to be close to the brick wall that forms the outside of the castle.

When we do that, we are actually behind their forces as my men have managed to keep them at bay while we slip through a gap in their line. Running around the corner, I see that Tristan and Reece have managed to do something similar, and the three of us are converging on the line of armed snipers in front of the castle, their weapons at the ready.

We slow down as we approach so they don't hear us coming, extending to the back of their line. It's not until we're about twenty paces away that one of the commanders spots us. He opens his mouth and starts yelling something at the others when I lunge at him, pushing him back to the ground. The others reach their targets at the same time, and we hear the screams of the men in their human forms as they hit the hard ground on their backs. Only a couple of the snipers manage to get a shot off, and I don't hear any screams or yelps of pain as they do so, so I'm hoping that means no one was hurt.

I don't hesitate to rip out the throat of the man I have trapped on the ground. Normally, we would take the time to let the humans change into their ET forms before fighting, but in this case, these bastards were trying to cheat, so they deserve to die without actually being able to fight us.

The taste of aluminum fills my mouth as the man's blood spurts between my teeth. As soon as he stops fighting, I let go and move on to the next one, but all the snipers are down, so I charge into the line of ET´s that are now in front of us.

Many of them are panicking as they are now trapped between our line that managed to get behind them and the warriors we left outside. Now they come flying forward, having managed to avoid being shot at, and we can now overwhelm Kane's line from both directions.

Most of Kane's ET´s try to flee. They try to avoid us and take refuge in the castle, but we are too angry and too fast for that. I grab a big black ET by its hind leg and knock it down hard. His front paws fly across the ground as he tries to escape, but I'm not going to let him, and as my teeth tear through the calf muscle of his right leg, my teeth tear through the flesh as he whimpers and continues to claw at the ground where he now forms. a stream of blood.

I use my claws to grab him and pull him towards me. Once I have a good grip on him, I sink my razor-sharp claws into his belly and claw downwards. That gives me the opportunity to let go and tear his neck with my teeth. A moment later, he stops moving. Forever.

I stand up and look at the battlefield. We clearly have them outnumbered now, and everywhere I look, Kane's ET´s are on the ground or begging, begging for their lives as best they can without being able to really speak to their attackers since we're all in our ET forms, and They are not in the same pack.

In my head, I hear cries for mercy from ET´s who know that we ET1s can hear them even if others can't, but I ignore them because I'm looking for Kane. I don't see him anywhere, and I guess he must be in the castle then.

"Let's find Kane!" I shout to Reece and Tristan, and since they too have finished fighting their enemies, we head towards the door.

A guard is standing there in his human form, completely unarmed, and I can tell by his wide eyes and the fresh smell of urine that he is petrified. I'm not sure what good he's supposed to do, but he can cooperate with us or join his friends on the ground.

The three of us stop and growl at him, and within seconds, he opens the door for us. “I thought so,” Tristan says in my head. Behind us, I hear the sound of dozens of ET paws as our troops storm the castle. I give the instruction to my troops, —Do not harm any service personnel! No maid, butler, or non-combat member of the pack, understand?

A chorus of—Yes, ET1!—comes into my head. We move forward, scattering, listening as the ET´s behind us move through different corridors and find hiding warriors.

I smell the air and catch a faint odor that I instinctively know is ET1 Kane. I can smell the masculine scent of him like one ET1 to another.

I run in that direction, the other two ET1s with me. This needs to end now. When we find him, ET1 Kane is a dead man.
