Judgement day

The heartache and rage that silently consumed me seemed never ending . Layla was laying in a room in the hospital waiting for us to bury her . How was I meant to do that or even think about that . ?
We were meant to grow old together she and I.

I sat in the hospital holding Layla’s hand starring at her . Her beautiful face looked peaceful but empty . Normally it would house a smile and deliver the most perfect voice.
My wolf was raging inside my head .
He wanted to kill !

A knock at the door caught my attention . The only person who would approach me now would be Lucas.

I’m sorry alpha he said and looked down .
I starred at him until he looked up seeing every ounce of pain I was trying to hide .
I will wait close by for you Lucas said and removed him self from the room.

I sat holding Layla’s hand for hours not wanting to leave her . But as the hours went on my sadness turned more and more to anger . The need to avenge her death was what I needed to focus on right now. I wanted to tare everything to pieces . I wanted to sit and cry and hold Layla forever . I wish I had stayed in bed with her this morning and she would be alive now . So many wishes I should have done .

I left the room and saw Lucas standing waiting for me . Our eyes met and he lowered his head again . Such a sign of respect however right now I needed my beta and warriors that stood beside me .
My office Lucas , now !

We walked to my office , wolfs scattering in our path, heads lowered not uttering a word .
No one dared approach me right now !

In my office I sat down and looked at Lucas .
Well? Did you find any thing ?

Lucas took a deep breath before he spoke of what he had seen and heard . He felt guilty, the target was his mate not mine . This was neither of our faults and I told him so . He still looked concerned and saddened . Layla was not only my mate but a good friend to him . I could see the pain that all of this was causing him. He hadn’t returned to his mate yet, the conflicting role of beta and mate written across his face .

“Lucas “ get some warriors I said and collect the 2 wolfs involved . Bring them both to the pack house and tie them to the large oak tree out front . Ensure every wolf can view them.

My wolf was trying to take over and rightly so. I held him in and let him know that the kill would be his . No mercy would be shown to either person involved . Tonight the sky would rain down the blood of those 2 wolfs the traitors .

Lucas left the pack house and tracked the scent of both the wolfs , it was evident they were exactly where i had left them . Anger flooded through my body , my heart was beating fast and Like lucifer i struggled to hold onto my wolf . I wanted so badly to let him out , the thought of it being molly laying there was even more terrifying for me .

I couldn’t let caydon out , there would be nothing left of Bella or Mathew and this kill was lucifers .
My self and ten other wolfs closed in on the cave at speed but concealing ourselves to ensure the element of surprise .

They were sleeping on the floor of the cave as I approached . A small fire crackling next to them lighting my path. I walked towards them with the other wolfs behind me .
A startled scream came from Bella as one of the wolfs grabbed her body and threw her naked over his shoulder .
Mathew jumped up fully surrounded . Every one was in human form and I hoped it stayed that way . The pack was linked and knew that their alpha was in a lot of pain . Any one of their wolfs would kill him in a heart beat if they got control .
I approached Mathew ..... I know what you did !
What he said , I did nothing . You are crazy , where are you taking my mate he shouted .

Bella had disappeared out of the cave but her cry’s could still be heard .

You !
You killed the alphas mate !!!!

The look on his face said it all, the colour drained and the once cocky fucker looked half the wolf he was thirty seconds ago.
I never knew she was the Luna he stuttered.
Bella said that she had stolen the beta from her sister and I .......

Shut the fuck up !! I don’t want to hear anything you have to say .
You have killed our Luna and you will answer to the alpha ! Had you have killed molly you would be answering to me ! Either way , you die tonight !

I turned and walked away leading the warriors and the prisoners back towards the pack house and our territory.

Walking back I thought of molly , I wouldn’t know what I would do if she was gone . I wanted to hold her right now. I hadn’t seen her in hours and was worried about her . She had been with Layla and i wasn’t there to protect her.

Bellas pathetic crying pulled me away from my thoughts .
I thought you were her friend I almost spat at her !
I am I am she cried , this is a big mistake .
I approached the wolf carrying her and whispered near to her ear . I watched you fuck your wolf friend this evening and I heard every word you said bitch !
Save your pleas for your alpha , but he will show you no mercy !

We approached the pack house a gathering of wolfs had appeared all growling and sniping at the prisoners as they passed . Bella was placed onto the ground and then tied to a tree.

Bella continued to sob begging for help . Mathew stood and said nothing eyes to the ground .

Lucifer walked out and approached the 2 wolfs . As soon as he began to speak I knew his wolf had control .
Yellow liquid ran down bellas leg as she pissed herself at the site of him . Mathew continued to keep his eyes to the ground .

Lucifer approached Mathew and with out a word he extended his claws and tore them across his throat near separating his head from his body . It hung there on his lifeless body blood starting to fill the grass .
Bella let out a piercing scream now more terrified then before . Lucifers wolf didn’t want to listen to any reason behind their actions .
His mate was dead and so would they be .
There wasn’t a word that would make this ok .

I watched as lucifer approached Bella starring into her eyes . You dare to look at me she wolf he spoke in a low venomous tone !
Bella averted her eyes down standing in the piss that had escaped her body .

Lucifer looked at her again and raised his hand, claws extended for the second time . Silence filled the wooded area for a second before a loud “no” was shouted from the doors to the pack house .
Heads turned and lucifer stilled his hand .
A large black wolf came careering through the pack to block lucifers blow .

I knew the wolf but no one else did , in that moment molly had put her self in danger . Lucifer might think she was a male .
I jumped forward before lucifer could react .

Molly what are you doing I shouted !
She is not your friend !

Lucifer watched on before lowering his hand for a fraction of a second .

Move her now Lucas he said , today is no day for any one to challenge me friend nor enemy .
I shifted quickly allowing caydon to dominate Athena . In the brief time caydon took control he had told Athena every thing. Athena lowered her body to the ground whimpering.

Lucifer stepped forward and approached Bella again .
Was it worth it he said ?
She lifted her head slightly but said nothing .
Was it worth killing my mate or even trying to kill my betas mate !
Was It what you expected it to be .

A moment passed and then Bella shouted through her tears “he was meant to be mine “
And looked at molly .
He was meant to be mine Molly and you took him from me !
Molly started at her dumbstruck .
Far too much information to take on board in such a small amount of time .

I wanted him and you ..... a swoosh went through the air and her throat was severed . Lucifer couldn’t stand to listen to her god awful voice for a second longer .

The gratification he thought he would get from killing them both was hardly noticeable to him . He simply turned and walked back towards Layla’s room to sit with her untill every thing was ready so she could be buried .
He wasn’t ready to leave her side yet .
He wanted this night to be over .
He didn’t care now about anything , all he cared about was the last few hours, minutes , seconds he had with his lifeless mate .
